"It keeps going to voicemail." Aria sighed, tossing her phone on the couch and sitting next to Scott. It was pouring outside, the stress and tension thick in the air.
"I'm sure she's fine." Scott mumbled, pressing a soft kiss to her temple. "She'll probably be back messaging us in a day or two."
"I'm just worried."
"I know, Ar." They both looked up when a knock on the door sounded, Scott getting up to answer it.
He opened it to reveal a soaked Carter, her left arm in a sling. She cleared her throat and gave him a small smile, shifting uncomfortably on the porch.
"I think I need a place to stay."
