"Where the fuck have you been?" August asked from the couch. I mentally cursed myself out for thinking he would be asleep.
"I went for a walk." I said, quietly. He stood up and came over to me.
"For 2 fucking hours? What the hell are you? A dog?" He said. I looked away from him, and moved past him and into the bedroom.
"I had alot on my mind." I said more to myself than him. He sat on the bed and watched me change my clothing.
"Like what? Tell me." He said. I shook my head.
"I'd rather not. Do we have an ice pack? My mouth hurts." I said, quietly. He nodded and came back with an ice pack, holding it to my mouth.
"You know I hate hurting you baby girl." He said as I laid on his chest.
Then bitch, why do it? I thought to myself. I kept quiet and looked at the ground.
"Get some sleep ma," He said, kissing my forehead. "I love you."
I smiled softly and looked up at him.
"I love you too."
