After our game against FDU, I planned it out perfectly. I was going to offer Charlotte a ride back to her apartment and that's when I'd ask her.
We were in my car, Taylor Swift was quietly playing.
"You played good today." Charlotte said.
"Thanks." I said, turning my head towards her to give her a quick smile.
"I still have to post all the pictures on the Instagram." Charlotte explained.
I nodded, too nervous to answer her since my head was just thinking about what was to come when we got to her apartment.
"You know, it's kind of funny that you found my mom's facebook." Charlotte laughed.
"Really? You don't think it's like extremely creepy?" I questioned.
"Not at all. I mean, everyone stalks people."
"Yeah, true."
We parked in the lot in front of her building and Charlotte thanked me for driving her, then she got out of the car. As she was about to walk away, I got out too.
Charlotte heard the car door shut so she turned over to me. "You're coming?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm walking you up." I said.
"You really don't have to."
"But I want to."
"Okay."
We walked silently into her building and then to the elevator. We waited until we made it to her floor, then I walked her to her door.
"Charlotte." I said.
Charlotte spun on her heel, turning towards me.
"Yeah?" She asked.
"Would you maybe want to do something tomorrow?" I asked.
"Like what?"
"Like go ice skating or something."
"Ice skating?" Charlotte laughed a little. "So who else is coming?"
"It's just us."
"Oh, aren't you talking to someone?"
"No, I don't know why I said that."
"Oh, um. Okay."
"So, is that a yes or-"
"Yes, Kate."
"Okay perfect, thanks. I'll text you." I said as I speed walked back to the elevator, I stood in there awkwardly as Charlotte just gave me a concerned smile and walked into her apartment.
