'Don't listen to the names' I keep telling myself. 'They don't mean it. Just keep walking'
"I bet she hasn't even had her first kiss yet."
"I heard that she had a boyfriend for a year, but when he tried to kiss her she freaked out and called the cops saying that he was hurting her."
'Just keep walking...don't look at them and they will leave you alone.' I say to myself.
"Hey Jennie!" I turn around and see my best friend, Gabe walking towards me.
I smile a small smile and push my glasses up. "Hi Gabe." I say to him shyly.
Gabe is...well lets face it, he's sweet..but he's taken. He has a girlfriend in Ohio. I have known him since I was seven. He always tries to defend me from the people that make fun of me, but it works...when he's around.
He wraps his arms around me in a hug, and I hug him back. "How are you doing Nini?"
Nini is the nickname he gave me when we were eight.
I pull away from the hug and look at his face. "I'm good."
He gives me a pointed look. "Really? Are you sure? No one has been messing with you have they?"
Gabe is on the football team, and everyone is afraid of him...that's why they listen to him. I hate it when Gabe gets in fights because of me. so I smile, nod my head and say. "No. No one has messed with me."
"Okay. I have to go to class now, so if anyone messes with you, tell me, okay? If you don't you're in big trouble."
I laugh, and push up my glasses "Okay. See ya."
I watch as he walks away. Then I walk down the hall and stop in front of my locker. I start to unlock it when I get knocked into my locker. Hard. I end up on the floor.
"Ow!" I yell. I open my eyes and see the jocks, Mike, Ian, Chris, and Taehyung standing above me laughing and pointing at me.
"Awe. Poor Miss Jennie fell." Taehyung says pouting his bottom lip out. "What should we do guys?"
Mike puts his index finger on his chin and taps it twice. "I say we pick-oops I mean 'help' her up, and dump-I mean...well I do mean dump her in the pool in the gym."
My eyes widen as I listen to them. "No! Please no! Leave me alone!"
I try to stand up to get away, but they grab me. I try to shake them off, but they're too strong.
"Ahhhhhh! someone help! Please!" I look around and there is no one in the hallway. The bell must've rang and I didn't hear it. Ian puts his hand over my mouth.
Taehyung comes close to my ear and whispers. "Stop struggling princess. It will be over soon." I look at him and he's smirking.
The next thing I know I'm flying, then I am soaking wet.
