Aurora gathers her belongings, her mind still preoccupied with the recent conversation with Katie. As she heads towards the door, a sudden, loud bang echoes through the room, causing her to jump in surprise.

She hesitates, her hand hovering over the doorknob, uncertainty written on her face. Another bang follows, more insistent this time, and Aurora exhales slowly, mentally preparing herself for whatever confrontation awaits on the other side.

With a resigned sigh, she opens the door, revealing Leah standing there, her expression a mix of urgency and desperation.

"Thank god you haven't left yet," Leah said as Aurora opened the door.

"I'm leaving now, Leah. I don't have time for this," Aurora replied, her tone firm.

"Please, just hear me out," Leah pleaded.

Aurora hesitated, her eyes betraying a mixture of weariness and curiosity. "Fine. Make it quick."

Leah stepped inside, and Aurora closed the door behind her, the latch clicking into place. The room was cloaked in a heavy silence as they faced each other, tension crackling in the air.

"I messed up, Aurora. I know I hurt you, and I'm really sorry about it," Leah finally spoke, her voice tinged with remorse.

Aurora's expression softened, but she remained guarded, her arms crossed defensively over her chest.

"You should've thought about that before," Aurora replied, her voice steady but tinged with a hint of sadness.

"I know, and I'm sorry. But please, just give me a chance to make things right," Leah implored, her eyes pleading for forgiveness.

Aurora sighed, the weight of the situation evident in her weary gaze. "I don't have time for this, Leah. I'm leaving."

With that, Aurora turned away, her resolve firm as she headed for the door, leaving Leah standing alone in the dimly lit hallway, her heart heavy with regret.

Leah stood at Aurora's doorstep, her heart pounding with anticipation and desperation. "Rory, please, just listen to me," she pleaded, her voice laced with urgency.

Aurora hesitated, her hand resting on the doorknob, her expression a mix of resignation and frustration. "Leah, I don't have time for this. I need to catch my flight," she replied, her voice strained.

"I promise I'll let you go, but I need you to listen," Leah implored, her eyes pleading for just a moment of Aurora's attention.

With a heavy sigh, Aurora relented, nodding reluctantly. "Fine, but make it quick. I don't want to miss my flight, and if I do, you're paying for the new tickets," she warned, her tone firm.

Leah nodded quickly, her heart racing as she followed Aurora into the living room. Aurora settled onto the sofa, gesturing for Leah to take a seat. Leah awkwardly perched on the solo seat, her nerves making her movements stiff and uncertain.

For a moment, silence hung heavy in the air, the tension palpable between them. Aurora's patience was wearing thin, and she began to rise from her seat, her resolve to leave evident in her movements.

"Wait," Leah blurted out, her voice tinged with desperation. "I'm sorry. I'll speak."

Aurora settled back onto the sofa, her gaze fixed on Leah, waiting for her to finally speak her truth.

Leah took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts as she prepared to speak. "I know what I did was wrong, Rory," she began, her voice soft and filled with remorse. "I shouldn't have done it, and honestly, I don't even know why I did. You're all I want, all I've ever wanted, and all I'll ever want."

Aurora's expression remained guarded, her eyes betraying the hurt and doubt swirling within her. "It doesn't seem like that," she remarked quietly, her tone tinged with sadness.

Leah nodded, her heart heavy with the weight of her mistakes. "I know, Rory, I know," she murmured, her voice thick with emotion. "I know I've fucked everything up, but I would do anything to make it up to you. Anything."

Aurora's brow furrowed, uncertainty etched into her features. "I don't know if I can trust you anymore, Leah," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know if I can."

Leah's heart sank at Aurora's words, a pang of regret piercing through her. "Please," she pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion. "Please tell me how to make it better. I'll do anything, Rory. Anything to make things right between us."

Aurora's eyes bore into Leah's, a mix of determination and vulnerability shining through. "Tell me everything," she demanded, her voice firm yet tinged with desperation.

Leah's brow furrowed in confusion. "What?" she stammered, taken aback by Aurora's sudden request.

"Everything," Aurora repeated, her tone unwavering. "About what happened with Kayla."

Leah's heart sank as she realized what Aurora was asking. She hesitated, uncertainty gnawing at her insides. "Aurora, I..." she began, her voice trailing off as she struggled to find the right words.

Aurora's gaze remained fixed on Leah, unwavering in its intensity. "No, Leah," she interjected firmly. "You are going to tell me. Because you said you'd do anything. And I want to know. I deserve to know what caused you to throw all of this," she gestured between them, "to throw us away."

Leah swallowed hard, the weight of Aurora's words pressing down on her. She shifted uncomfortably under Aurora's penetrating gaze, her heart heavy with regret. "What... what do you want to know?" she asked tentatively, her voice barely above a whisper.

Aurora's expression softened slightly, but her eyes still held a steely resolve. "Everything," she replied firmly. "But let's start with something simple. How long have you known her?"

Leah hesitated for a moment, her mind racing as she searched for the right words. "Around... around three or four months," she admitted, her voice barely audible.

Aurora's annoyance was palpable, her tongue pressing against the side of her cheek in frustration. With a deep breath, she forced herself to remain calm, nodding slowly before asking her next question. "And when did it start with her?"

Leah's hesitation was palpable, her reluctance to speak evident in her eyes. "Aurora, I..." she began, her voice trailing off as she struggled to find the words.

Aurora's patience was wearing thin, her frustration bubbling to the surface. "Tell me," she insisted, her voice tinged with a mix of hurt and determination.

"About two months now," Leah finally confessed, her voice barely a whisper, barely able to meet Aurora's gaze.

Aurora's jaw clenched, her hands balling into fists at her sides as she fought to keep her composure. She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself before speaking. "Did you... did you fuck her?" she demanded, her voice trembling with anger and hurt.

Leah recoiled, her heart pounding in her chest as she struggled to find the courage to answer. Aurora's voice trembled as she repeated her question, the words laced with a mix of disbelief and anguish. "Did you? Did you fuck her?"

Leah flinched at the intensity of Aurora's tone, her silence a damning admission. The air crackled with tension as Aurora's patience wore thin, her frustration bubbling to the surface. "Leah, did you or did you not fuck her?" she demanded, her voice rising with each word until it echoed off the walls.

Leah's heart sank as Aurora's words pierced through her defences, leaving her exposed and vulnerable. With a heavy heart, she nodded, her shame laid bare for all to see.

Aurora closed her eyes, her fists clenching at her sides as she struggled to process the magnitude of Leah's betrayal. When she spoke again, her voice was low but filled with a quiet fury. "I want words, Leah," she demanded, her gaze piercing through Leah's defences.

Leah swallowed hard, the weight of Aurora's disappointment heavy on her shoulders. With a resigned nod, she finally uttered the damning admission. "Yes," she whispered, her voice barely audible above the storm of emotions raging inside her.

Aurora's eyes bore into Leah's, her voice cutting through the silence like a knife. "When?" she demanded, her tone leaving no room for evasion.

Leah's brow furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Aurora's jaw clenched as she fought to keep her emotions in check. "How long after you met her did you fuck her?" she repeated, her words dripping with venom. "I want the truth, Leah."

Leah's breath caught in her throat as she struggled to find the words. With a heavy sigh, she finally relented. "The... the day we met," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "But I was drunk...and it... it was a big mistake, Rory. I swear."

Aurora's laughter was bitter and mocking, the sound ringing in Leah's ears like a cruel taunt. "Oh, yeah," she scoffed, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "Such a big mistake that you went back and did it again. And God knows what else with her."

Leah opened her mouth to speak, but before she could utter a word, Aurora cut her off with a steely glare. "When was the last time you fucked her then?" she demanded, her voice ice-cold.

Leah's gaze fell to the floor as she muttered, "A little over a week ago."

Aurora scoffed, her disbelief palpable. "So, the day before I came," she spat out, her words laced with bitterness.

Leah's cheeks flushed with shame as she shamefully nodded, unable to meet Aurora's accusing gaze.

Aurora's frustration simmered beneath the surface as she clenched her fists, her voice rising with each word. "The day I came to England, you and I slept together," she seethed, her anger barely contained.

Leah's shame deepened as Aurora's accusations hit home. She kept her gaze fixed on the floor, unable to bear the weight of Aurora's disappointment.

Aurora's voice was filled with hurt as she continued, her words cutting through the tense silence. "We were all over each other when I came to England, yet you had her on the side," she stated, her tone a mixture of sorrow and indignation.

Leah flinched at Aurora's words, feeling the weight of her betrayal bearing down on her. She knew she had wronged Aurora, but hearing it laid out so plainly made it all the more real.

Aurora's voice softened slightly as she asked, "Is that where you went when you said you were busy, when I invited you to the studio before my training?"

Leah closed her eyes, unable to meet Aurora's gaze as she whispered, "Yes."

Aurora's disbelief was palpable as she stared at Leah, her eyes searching for any hint of truth in her words. "How am I supposed to believe you didn't fuck her then?" she demanded, her voice tinged with frustration.

Leah looked up, her expression almost desperate as she tried to convey the sincerity of her words. "I went to her to stop everything going on," she insisted, her voice shaky with emotion.

But Aurora was not convinced. She scoffed incredulously, shaking her head. "Don't lie to me," she said, her tone heavy with accusation.

Leah's heart sank at Aurora's words. She knew she had let Aurora down, but she had hoped that her honesty would be enough to begin to mend their fractured relationship. "I'm not lying," she protested, her voice pleading. "I really went to tell her it was over."

Aurora's expression remained cold as she regarded Leah. "Clearly, you didn't," she said, her voice tinged with disappointment. Aurora's doubt lingered in the air, heavy and suffocating. "Maybe you still haven't for all I know," she remarked bitterly, her voice laced with scepticism.

Leah's heart sank at Aurora's lack of trust, but she refused to give up. "I have, Rory, I swear," she insisted desperately, using the nickname she knew Aurora loved. "I ended things with Kayla the day after Alex told me she saw us."

Aurora's gaze bore into Leah's, her expression unreadable. "The day after, really?" she questioned, her tone filled with disbelief. "It's bad enough it was even happening but you couldn't just end it that day? Even after you knew I knew. You just had to wait another day."

Leah's heart twisted with guilt as she realized the depth of Aurora's hurt. "I know it wasn't right," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "But I was so confused, Rory. I didn't know what to do."

Leah's attempt to explain herself only seemed to stoke the fire of Aurora's anger. "Confused about what?" Aurora demanded, her voice sharp and unforgiving.

Leah's eyes welled with tears as she struggled to find the right words. "Everything," she confessed, her voice breaking with emotion.

Aurora's anger flared anew at Leah's vague response. "Well, you don't need to be confused about me," she retorted, her tone cold and final. "Because in case you didn't get the memo, we're done. For good."

Leah's heart shattered at Aurora's words, the finality of them hitting her like a physical blow. "Please, Rory," she pleaded, her voice desperate.

Aurora's expression softened for a moment, but then hardened again as she cut Leah off. "Don't call me that, Leah," she said firmly, her voice tinged with pain. "It's Aurora. Or Blake."

Leah's chest tightened at the rejection, tears spilling down her cheeks. "Sorry," she whispered brokenly, her voice barely audible over the sound of her own sobs.

As Aurora rose from her seat, Leah's heart sank, fearing the impending departure. "Where are you going, Ro—Aurora, please don't leave yet," she pleaded, her voice tinged with desperation.

Aurora paused, her hand on the doorknob, her gaze fixed on Leah. "I've got a flight to catch," she replied softly, her tone heavy with resignation.

Leah's heart clenched at the confirmation of Aurora's departure, but she couldn't bear to let her go without answers. "Please," she implored, her voice trembling. "Aurora."

Aurora hesitated, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. "Is Kayla why you didn't want anyone knowing about us?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Leah's breath caught in her throat at the question, her mind racing as she searched for the right words. "No," she finally answered, her voice raw with emotion. "It's because I was scared—scared of what people would think, scared of how it would change things between us. But it was never because of Kayla."

Aurora's shoulders sagged with relief at Leah's response, but the hurt in her eyes remained. She nodded solemnly, her heart heavy with conflicting emotions, as she grabbed her bags and made her way to the door. Leah followed closely behind, a sense of urgency driving her steps.

As they reached Aurora's car, Leah's anxiety peaked, knowing she couldn't bear to see Aurora drive away without some semblance of closure. Just before Aurora could open the car door, she turned to Leah, her eyes pleading.

"Did you ever even love me?" Aurora's voice was barely a whisper, laced with uncertainty and pain.

Leah's heart clenched at the question, her gaze locked with Aurora's. "Yes," she answered without hesitation, her voice filled with conviction. "More than you'll ever know."

Leah reached out, gently grasping Aurora's hands in her own, her touch tender yet urgent. "I've loved you since we were kids, Rory," she confessed, her voice trembling with emotion. "And I'll keep loving you for the rest of my life."

Aurora's expression softened at Leah's words, a flicker of hope igniting in her eyes. For a moment, they stood in silence, the weight of their shared history and unspoken truths hanging heavy in the air.

Then, with a deep breath, Aurora leaned in, pressing her forehead against Leah's, their breaths mingling in the space between them. "I want to believe you, Leah," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "But you've hurt me more than I thought possible."

Leah's heart ached at Aurora's words, but she refused to let her go without a fight. With a surge of determination, she lifted Aurora's chin, meeting her gaze with unwavering intensity. "I'll spend the rest of my life proving it to you," she vowed, her voice trembling with emotion.

And as they stood there, bathed in the soft glow of the fading sunlight, Leah knew that no matter what the future held, she would never stop fighting for Aurora's love. Leah's heart shattered into a million pieces at Aurora's whispered goodbye, the weight of their shared pain and unspoken regrets hanging heavy in the air. Tears welled up in her eyes, blurring her vision as she struggled to maintain her composure.

Their eyes locked in a silent exchange of longing and sorrow, each word unspoken yet palpable in the space between them. Leah's chest tightened with the unbearable ache of loss as Aurora turned away, disappearing into the car.

With a heavy heart, Leah watched as Aurora drove away, the distance between them widening with each passing moment. Tears streamed down her cheeks unchecked now, a silent testament to the depth of her anguish.

Meanwhile, Aurora's vision blurred with tears as she drove, her heart heavy with the weight of their broken bond. Each mile felt like an eternity as she navigated the familiar streets, the memories of their shared past haunting her every thought.

As the distance between them grew, Leah and Aurora were left to grapple with the painful reality of their shattered relationship, each consumed by their own heartache and regret. And as the tears continued to fall, they both knew that saying goodbye was the hardest thing they'd ever had to do.
