The same day, Jimin's plane landed in Seoul, as he made his way through the bustling airport, he suddenly spotted his brother Taehyung waiting for him at the arrival gate. Their eyes met, and a huge grin spread across Jimin's face. He rushed over to Taehyung, and they immediately engulfed each other in a tight, brotherly hug. Taehyung couldn't contain his excitement and started teasing Jimin about his height, while Jimin playfully rolled his eyes and fired back with a witty comeback. They were like two mischievous kids, causing a scene in the middle of the airport.

With their luggage in tow, they made their way to the car. Taehyung had prepared a surprise for Jimin - he had decorated the car with balloons and banners, welcoming him home in the most festive way possible. As they drove back, they reminisced about their childhood adventures, sharing funny stories and reliving their favorite memories.

Once Jimin arrived home, he was greeted warmly by his loving parents. For the next three days, they immersed themselves in quality family time, cherishing each moment together. Laughter filled the air as they shared stories, indulged in delicious meals, and engaged in playful activities. It was a blissful reunion, a time to strengthen the ties that bound them.

During his stay, Jimin also took the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and classmates. The nostalgia was palpable as they reminisced about their shared memories and caught up on each other's lives. It was a joyous occasion, filled with laughter, hugs, and heartfelt conversations.

On the last day of his stay, Jimin was peacefully eating strawberries in his bedroom when his phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID, The screen displayed jungkook which made Jimin's heart skipped a beat. Taking a moment to gather his courage, he hesitantly answered the call.

"Were you busy? Did I disturb you?"
Jungkook's voice came through the line, calm and collected.

Hearing his voice after such a long time made Jimin's heart instantly melt. Overwhelmed with emotions, he fell back onto his bed, clutching his heart tightly.

"Jimin, are you there?" Jungkook's voice called out again, breaking through Jimin's daze.

Jimin's eyes widened at his behavior, snapping back to reality. He quickly sat up, trying to regain his composure, and replied, "Yes, hyung! Ah, I wasn't doing anything. How are you?"

"I'm good. You must be enjoying your stay there. That's good, enjoy it all. You never know when you'll get the chance to meet them again," Jungkook said, his voice filled with a tinge of longing.

Jimin nodded, a wistful smile on his face. Suddenly he remembers something.

"Hyung, Did that girl come back again? I hope she didn't cause you any harm," he asked, his voice laced with genuine worry.

Jungkook let out a sigh, his tone tinged with a hint of weariness. "No, she hasn't returned. I've taken precautions to ensure my safety. Don't worry, Jimin." His reassurance brought a sense of relief to Jimin's heart.

There was a moment of silence. Jimin was trying to think of what to say next because he didn't want the call to end so soon, But just as Jimin was pondering, Jungkook broke the silence.

"So, About your flight, Is it tonight?"

"Yeah, my flight is at 8 pm." Jimin confused from the jungkook question conformed.

Then, there was a pause, and Jungkook's voice came through, all slow and deliberate,

"Then I'll be there to pick you up."

Jimin's eyes widened in surprise and couldn't help but smile.

"Aren't you busy at that time. You don't have-"

"It's ok, I will make time for you."

Jimin's heart pounded in his chest as Jungkook abruptly cut him off, leaving him breathless. How could he even begin to think about moving on when Jungkook was this kind and caring?

Every time Jimin tried to imagine a future without Jungkook, his mind went blank. It was as if Jungkook had set the standard for how he should be treated, making it nearly impossible to consider anyone else. The thought of finding someone else who could match Jungkook's level of niceness seemed like a distant dream.

After what felt like an eternity of contemplation, Jimin finally found the strength to respond.

"Okay, hyung, see you soon," he managed to utter, his voice betraying the internal battle he was fighting. Deep down, he knew he couldn't keep living in this state of uncertainty.

Soon it was afternoon , Jimin's departure time approached, he gathered his family for a final goodbye. His mother couldn't hold back her tears as she hugged him tightly, expressing how much she would miss him. His father, filled with pride and concern, shared heartfelt advice and encouraged Jimin to chase his dreams.

Taehyung, being the supportive brother that he is, stood by Jimin's side throughout the emotional farewell. They embraced, promising to stay in touch and support each other no matter the distance. Later, Taehyung accompanied him to the airport. With a final goodbye to taehyung Jimin boarded the plane.

As the plane soared into the dark sky, Jimin looked out the window, the city was vibrant with golden lights like a little stars. He couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. And so, with anticipation and a touch of sadness, the plane carried Jimin towards Busan, leaving behind cherished memories and his loved ones.

At busan jimin's plane landed at 10 pm. Jimin stepped out of the airport, He glanced around, taking in the familiar sights and sounds of the city.
As he made his way towards the taxi stand, his eyes caught sight of a familiar car parked nearby. It was Jungkook's car, and there he was, leaning against it with a bright smile on his face.

Jimin's heart skipped a beat as he approached Jungkook, feeling a rush of emotions flooding through him.

"Jungkook hyung!" Jimin exclaimed, unable to contain his joy. He quickened his pace, his smile mirroring Jungkook's.

"It's so good to see you," Jungkook said, his voice filled with warmth.
Jimin watched as Jungkook grabbed his suitcase and placed it in the trunk of the car.

He noticed that Jungkook was a step behind him, taking a moment longer to get into the car. So, Jimin sat in the front seat. As Jungkook got in the car, there was a moment of silence.

Jimin finally asked, "Hyung, how are you?"

"Hmm, good," Jungkook replied, but didn't say much else.

Once they settled in the car, Jimin felt Jungkook's eyes were on him. Jimin becomes nervous as he feels Jungkook's presence drawing closer. His heart skipped a beat as he lifted his head to meet Jungkook's gaze.

Their eyes locked, and Jimin's breathing paused for a moment. There was an intense staring between them, and it made Jimin's cheeks flush with a soft blush.

Jungkook slowly lowered his head, their bodies now closer together. He reached over and helped Jimin fasten his seatbelt, his eyes never leaving Jimin's face. The touch of Jungkook's hand sent a shiver down Jimin's spine.

"Oh, I forgot to fasten." Jimin said, feeling embarrassed.

Jungkook leaned back, smiling, and buckled his own seatbelt again. "It's okay,"

Jimin nodded and avoided Jungkook's playful gaze. The car started moving, and Jimin felt a sense of relief.

Soon the car was stopped at the red signal Jimin feeling the ride was so silent, finally mustered up the courage to ask Jungkook,

"Hyung, during the holidays, who do you usually spend your time with?"

Jungkook tapped his fingers on the steering wheel. "Well, mostly I just stay home and sometimes catch up with my colleagues." In his usual laid-back manner, he replied.

Jimin couldn't help but feel a wave of concern wash over him, wondering why it sounded so gloomy. He pursed his lips, carefully suggested,

"You know, since you're also twenty-five this year, it's about time you found yourself a girlfriend. And if you have some free time, maybe I could introduce..."

But before Jimin could finish his sentence, Jungkook interrupted, taking advantage of the red light, and lazily asked, "You gonna introduce someone to me?"

Jimin, feeling a curiosity, replied to Jungkook's request, " Of course,  if you don't have any problem. Who should I introduce you to? Are you okay with girls around my age."

Jungkook looked at Jimin for a moment.

"Around your age?" he questioned, his tone teasing.

Jimin, anticipating Jungkook's response, thought to himself, He's probably going to say I'm too young for him.

But to Jimin's surprise, after a brief pause, Jungkook smiled and said, "Okay."

As the car started moving again, Jimin couldn't help but feel a bit taken aback by Jungkook's unexpected response, he blinked in surprise. He hadn't expected Jungkook to agree so easily.

With a soft music playing on the radio, creating a cozy atmosphere. Jimin watches Jungkook. His features stand out, and the gentle golden glow of the road makes him even more captivating. His gaze remains fixed ahead, seemingly indifferent.

Silently observing him, Jimin saw jungkook expression seems hard. He starts to worry that he may have unintentionally offended Jungkook.

"I'm sorry hyung,  if I said something wrong. I just felt sad seeing you spend your time alone. My hyung has a girlfriend, and he even showed me her picture. Plus, Seo Joon hyung is getting married this year. I just felt a bit down for you, that's why I asked."
Speaking up, Jimin says,

Jimin realizes that it's not a good topic to bring up, so he adds in a low voice, "I won't talk about it anymore."

Jungkook looks at Jimin and suddenly asks, "How old are you now?"

Confused by the question, Jimin wonders why Jungkook is asking. After a moment of thought, he replies, "After this year, I'll be 20."

Jungkook doesn't say anything else, leaving Jimin feeling even more puzzled.

"Why did you ask?" Jimin asks.

Then, he hears Jungkook whispers to himself.

"Ah, just one more year," Jungkook says with a soft smile.

Jimin looked at Jungkook with a puzzled expression on his face.

"What?" he asked, his eyebrows raised in confusion.

Jungkook pretended to be innocent, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "What?" he repeated, feigning ignorance.

Jimin's eyebrows furrowed even further as he inquired. "What did you just say?"

Jungkook shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and kept his gaze fixed on the road. "I didn't say anything,"

Jimin couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about Jungkook's behavior today. He seemed more playful than usual. Deciding to let it go for now, they both settled back into silence as the car continued on its journey.

Soon after, Jimin's dormitory finally came into view, and Jungkook brought the car to a stop right in front of the gate. Jimin gathered his belongings, and Jungkook stepped out of the car to lend a helping hand with his luggage.

"Thanks, hyung," Jimin said, his voice filled with gratitude.

Jungkook simply hummed softly in response, a small smile playing on his lips. Jimin waved goodbye, before turning to make his way towards the entrance of the dormitory.

Jungkook watched Jimin for a moment, his gaze filled with fondness, before getting back into his car and driving back to his apartment.

~

Returning to his apartment he took a refreshing shower, washing away the day's exhaustion. Afterwards, he made himself a steaming cup of black coffee and settled onto his sofa. Just as he began to relax, his phone rang, revealing Seo Joon's name on the screen.

Seo Joon's voice echoed through the phone as he eagerly asked, "You busy man? No calls, no messages, are you on some secret cult, or what?"

Jungkook, feeling the weariness of the day melts away, replies with a joke, "Yeah, I just finished killing a man?"

Seo Joon's voice tinged with chuckle, "very funny! So, when are you coming to meet me? I miss hanging out with you."

"Haha, you're so eager to see me! If I didn't know you were getting married, I'd think you have a crush on me." Jungkook couldn't resist teasing him, a mischievous smile playing on his lips,

Seo Joon laughs, a playful tone in his voice, "Oh, please! Don't flatter yourself. But hey, speaking of crushes, bring a date to my wedding. It'll be fun to see you all lovey-dovey."

Jungkook couldn't help but smile as the thought of Jimin crossed his mind.

Sensing the silence, Seo Joon spoke nonchalantly. "Ohhh, is it finally happening? Jungkook, have you finally found her?"

Jungkook raised an eyebrow and whispered his next words. "Um, it's a he."

There was a moment of silence,

then Seo Joon let out a scream. "Oh my fuck, really? Shit, Jungkook, I should have known! That's why you always rejected the girls I introduced you to. Well, congratulations! Who is this lovely boy that has captured your heart?"

Jungkook took a deep breath and replied, "He's a university student, five years younger than me."

"Woah, that's amazin-... Wait, what??" Seo joon shouted.

Jungkook sighed, trying to explain. "Yeah, well, he'll be 20 next year. I don't know, I always thought of him as a little brother, but suddenly my feelings changed for him."

Seo Joon couldn't contain his curiosity any longer, "Spill the tea! Have you confessed your feelings to that boy?" he asked.

Jungkook's nervousness was evident in his voice as he replied, "Well, I wish I could say I have, but I'm not so sure about his feelings towards me. It's kinda complicated?"

"Why do you think that? Aren't you two close?" Seo Joon probed, his voice filled with concern.

Jungkook let out a sigh. "Yeah, we're close, but sometimes I can't help but feel like he sees me more as a big brother figure. And to make things worse, he actually confessed to me that he likes someone else."

Seo Joon's voice filled with surprise. "Oh, that's messed up. So, who does he like? Did he tell you? What kind of person does he like?"

Jungkook hesitated for a moment. "He didn't give me a name, but he mentioned that he's into playboy types. You know, someone who is handsome and flirty."

Seo Joon pondered for a moment, his thoughts swirling around in his head. "Ya know, Jungkook, there's still a chance for you, I mean, you've got that charm and flirty side too. I'm pretty darn sure he was describing you!"

Jungkook let out a sigh. "But how can that be? Maybe he's got someone else in mind," he questioned.

Seo Joon, still on the phone, pressed for more details. "Hey, did he give you any more deets about this flirty person?"

Jungkook replied, recalling the drunken conversation. "Yeah, He mentioned that this person is super handsome and a total lady magnet. Plus, they take care of everyone around them."

Seo Joon's voice brimmed with excitement. "Dude, that's gotta be you he's talking about! I mean, if he hasn't met anyone else besides you, it's gotta be you!"

Jungkook mulled it over, his mind filled with uncertainty. The description did match him, but what if it was that Eunwoo guy after all?

Sensing Jungkook silence Seo Joon's voice softened with understanding. He knew how delicate matters of the heart could be."Jungkook listen to me. It's tough when you're unsure about someone's feelings. But hey, you won't know until you try, right? Maybe he's just as hesitant as you are."

Jungkook nodded, his mind swirling with a mix of hope and fear. "You're right, I won't know unless I take that leap of faith. But what if it ruins our bond? I don't want to lose him."

"I understand your worries, Kook. But trust me, even if things don't go the way you hope, true bonds can weather break like this. The most important thing is to communicate openly with each other." Seo joon said his voice was filled with encouragement.

Jungkook took a deep breath, finding solace in Seo Joon's words. "Thanks, Seo Joon. Your words means the world to me. I'll gather up the courage and talk to him soon."

Seo Joon grinned, with excitement. "Of course, Jungkook! I'm rooting for you all the way. Good luck, my friend, and remember, I'm here for you no matter what."

As the call ended, Jungkook was left with a blossoming feeling in his chest. A smile played on his lips as he gazed at his graduation photo with jimin, His eyes seemed to linger on Jimin's face.

Jungkook knew that pursuing this adorably silly person would not be an easy task. The road ahead would be filled with challenges, It may be tough, but sometimes the most rewarding things in life require a little extra effort.
