They did it. Team USA has won the gold.
Helena stood up and cheered, crying of joy. She flew down to Sweden to watch Rutger win a gold medal and he did it. All the Americans jumped off the bench and went right over to their goalie, jumping on him and hugging him tight.
Medal Ceremony
Sweden had just received their medals and now it was America's turn. Rutger did a little dance as he went to get his medal. Helena laughed at her childish boyfriend while he danced.
She remembered suddenly that she was literally an admin for the umich wolverines and that she could be getting some content then and there, so she pulled out her camera and started taking some pictures for the animated poster to show the winning of the umich players.

Helena smiled when the door to the USA locker room opened to reveal Rutger. His hair was dripping wet after his shower and he was dressed in his game day suit. Once he made eye contact with her his eyes lit up and he rushed over to her, hugging her tight.
"I did it!" He smiled brightly. "I won gold!" He stepped back slightly and showed her the medal.
"You did so well, babe." The boy smiled and wrapped his arm around her.
The door opened again and a group of umich wolverines walked out, celebrating their win. They all walked over to Rutger and Helena once they noticed the couple.
"Lena! Did you get any cool shots for the media?" Brindley asked once he approached the two.
The girl nodded and showed him the pictures she got off the four wolverines. He smiled in approval and asked her to send him a few before he and the other two left, leaving the couple alone once more.
"I don't wanna leave Sweden. It's so pretty." Helena whined to her boyfriend, leaning into him more. He chuckled and held her tightly.
"Wanna go walk around for a bit before we go back?" Rutger asked her. Her eyes widened and she nodded furiously.
After around two hours of walking around the city of Gothenburg, Sweden, just enjoying the city. Eventually they had to go back to the hotel in order to sleep and get up early the next day for a flight back to Michigan.
Helena changed into sweatpants and one of Rutger's sweatshirts. She flopped onto their bed and cuddled into the warm blankets. Her boyfriend got in beside her a few minutes later and hugged her into his chest to keep her warm, knowing she had a tendency to get cold during the night.
They had a movie playing on one of their laptops, the movie being Miracle. They got to the scene where Herb was getting mad at them for not playing well against Sweden and Helena turned to Rutger.
"Did your coach do this to get y'all hyped for Sweden?" She joked. He laughed and rolled his eyes. "Congratulations, Rut. You did well." She giggled, closing her eyes out of tiredness.
"Sleep, Lena. I'll flex my gold medal with your gold jewelry tomorrow." He laughed slightly at himself as Helena fell asleep.

I've been cheering for them the whole tourney because Canada made so many wrong choices with the roster we had absolutely NO. CHANCE.
