You were Xie Lians personal servant. It made you happy to be able to serve such a wonderful person as the Crown Prince of Xianle.
You smiled softly to yourself while walking to your Geges bedroom to wake him up. You opened the door to see him sleeping deeply and grin to yourself, walking up to his bed, moving your hand to hold his as you bowed over him. „Gege~" you cooed waking him up. Xie Lian groaned tiredly, before slowly opening his eyes coming face to face with your face that was hovering over his. Xie Lian blinked and smiled softly at you, grabbing your hand -that was already grabbing his- aswell. „Good morning Qīn qīn~" His other hand went up to hold you cheek, carressing it. You blushed lightly and grinned at him. „Come on!! Get out of bed!! We have a performance to hold today!!" you cheered as you nuzzled into his hand. „Hmm..." he nodded his head and let go of your face and hand as you straightened yourself, you went to his closet to get out a the outfit for him. It was a beautiful white Hanfu which had red and gold accents, it looked beautiful and would look even look better on Xie Lian, you smiled to yourself. You showed Xie Lian the Hanfu. „Gege! Here is your outfit!! Isn't it beautiful??" You asked, smiling brightly at him as he was sat on his bed, his white robe was slipped and showed of his nice chest. You blushed slightly. „It is indeed beautiful Qīn qīn..will you dress me?" He rubbed his neck, smiling at you cheekily. You blushed at his request. „Of course, Gege!" You put the Hanfu over your arm and started to undress him shyly. Xie Lian glanced down at you and admired your face. His gaze was most kept on your sweet plump lips. You then started to put the Hanfu on him. Once you were finished you grinned up at him, a blush decorating your cheeks. „Finished your highness!!" Xie Lian smiled fondly and caressed your cheek. „Very well.." he then stood up, before going to the mirror, putting on his accessories and drawing a beauty mark on his forehead. He then turned back to you. „How do I look Qīn qīn?" you admired him, your eyes sparkling which made him smirk. „You look so beautiful Gege!!" He smiled. 'You're prettier..' he thought, smiling.
Timeskip
Once you put on your own Hanfu, that was matching him, you re-entered Xie Lians room. You were playing the role of the lover of the one that pleases the gods AKA Xie Lian. He asked you to play his role and as his loyal servant, you couldn't possibly refuse. Actually you were quiet excited. Xie Lian admired how you looked. You already looked perfect, but with this Hanfu and these accessories.... Xie Lian shook away his thoughs. 'He is the perfect wife for me' he smiled and look Y/N up and down with a glint in his eyes. "You look perfect Qīn qīn.." You blushed at his compliment and chuckled. "You flatter me Gege..now come on!! Let's go play husband and wife even though I would technically be a husband!!" Y/N exclaimed in excitement. Xie Lian chuckled as he stood up from his bed glancing down at Y/N and taking his hand in his, intertwining them. "Yeah, let's go my beautiful wife~" Y/N blushed and hit his chest.
You stood alone in a excluded place which was pretty high up -not as high up where Xie Lian jumped down from but still pretty high- as you watched Xie Lian in awe only keeping your eyes on him, until you saw something in the corner of your eye. A boy that was about to fall. Your eyes widened in fear and your gripped the railing, going to jump down yourself. "Gege!!" You called out in worry as you saw the boy fall, you knew you weren't gonna make it in time to save the boy. Xie Lian glanced at you before looking into the direction you pointed at. Not forgetting to take notice of how beautiful you looked when you were concerned. His eyes widened as he saw a falling boy and quickly ran over to catch him, interrupting his performance. He successfully catched the boy and smiled down at him. Yet his golden mask fell. The crowd quitened. You let out a sigh of relief and landed safely on the ground. You quickly ran to the center, where the Oni and the heavenly emperor were fighting. Xie Lian fighting with the boy in hand, who clutched his Hanfu tighly, afraid to fall or get hurt. You quickly took the boy out of Xie Lians hands who quickly turned back to fighting. You looked down at the bow that was now clutching your Hanfu, staring up at you with his wide, black eye. You smiled at him close-eyed, before turning back to the fighting. You had appeared to early so now you had to improvise, you sighed. "My dearest!" You called out to Xie Lian, playing the role as his wife. Xie Lian turned to you, deflecting another attack from Mu Qing, his eyes lightened up. "My lovely wife!" He called out, improvising as well. "Let me help you" You pleaded, biting your lip. He deflected another attack from Mu Qing. "You ca-" before he could finish you attacked the Demon with a sword as well, smiling at your 'husband', as the child clung tightly onto you. "Don't worry, you wont get hurt.." you reassured the child quietly. Together you and Xie Lian defeated the Demon, and the crowd cheered, Qi Rong being the loudest. Xie Lian then turned to you and caressed your cheek and pushed a stand of hair behind your ear. "You're so beautiful wife..." he looked down at your lips, his face nearing yours. You gulped, now you were gonna play out the kiss scene! Xie Lian than leaned in and his lips met yours. Xie Lian took notice of how soft and sweet your lips were, his eyes glinted obsessively. The child in your grasp just watched from under you, his grip on your Hanfu softening. All of you then disappeared from the crowd as the performance has now ended. Both you and Xie Lian looked down at the child while Feng Xin approached you all, Mu Qing already being near you. "How old are you?" Xie Lian asked, the boy did not answer. "How did you fall?" You asked and he didn't answer as well. You sighed. "How-" you were gonna ask a question again when Mu Qing interrupted. "He obviously doesn't want to answer or talk.." You puffed your lips looking down at him in concern, meeting his bandaged face. "Feng Xin,Take care of him for now. Check of any bruises, since he wears bandages." You nodded and smiled down at the boy who stared at both you and Xie Lian in admiration. You then tried to gave him away to Feng Xin but he clutched to you tightly, nit letting go. You chuckled. Then you got him off of you and gave him to Feng Xin, starting to walk away with Xie Lian. "Y/N why aren't you letting go of him?" You furrow your brows in confusion and look down, seeing the child still cling onto you. You sweat dropped. "I'm sorry child, it will only take a few hours, okay?" You smiled down at him and kissed his forehead. The boy blushed brightly, which didn't go unnoticed by Xie Lian who narrowed his eyes and huffed quietly. He softened his grip and you were able to give him to Feng Xin. "See you later!" You waved to them with your right hand as a goodbye, your left already tighly enveloped in Xie Lians.
Timeskip
As you finally got rid of your clothes and the trio, or rather Feng Xin and Mu Cheng were bickering, you left the room to take care of some chores, as soon as you were finished you went back to Xie Lians room. As you arrived Mu Qing walked past you, you looked at him over your shoulder confused but shrugged it off. As you came in you saw Feng Xin searching for something in Geges room, while Gege talked about Mu Qing. "Gege?? Feng Xin?? What's wrong? What are you searching for?" You asked. Both turned to you and Xie Lian enveloped you in a hug. "His earring got lost." You then unconsciously went to pat your ears and realized yours were gone too, you still hadn't taken the earrings of the costume off because you simply forgot. "That's weird..One of mine is gone too..." you mumbled, patting Geges back. "Seriously?" Feng Xin mumbled and sighed. I will search for it, don't worry your Highness, Y/N." You nodded at him. You all left the room to find Mu Qing, when suddenly Juniors walked by you and offered cherries to Gege. He got some and gave you the most. You smiled happily, cherry was your favorite fruit and those cherries were so juicy and delicious. Seeing your happy face, Xie Lian smiled and decided for you all to pick up more cherries. So you all went to were the cherry trees were located, only to see some other Juniors bullying Mu Qing. You furrowed your brows and grabbed onto Xie Lians Hanfu. "Gege..." He understood and put a stop to all of this, the Junior who was holding Mu Qing against the tree by his collar quickly dropped him. You all talked it out, picked out some cherries and decided to visit Mu Qings mother tomorrow.
Time skip
As you reached the mountain you were shocked to see Qi Rong with his golden carriage. "Qi Rong? What are you doing here?" Qi Rong only spared you a glance. "Cousin!! I was waiting for you!! Look this is my gift from Yamu, ride with me please?" Xie Lian couldn't reject the offer as he knew Qi Rong wouldn't let go. He stepped into the carriage when you, Feng Xin and Mu Qing were about to step in too, he stopped you. "How dare you peasants want to step into my golden carriage? Y/N can go.." He grumbled, glaring at Feng Xin and Mu Qing. You sweated. "Prince Xiao-Jing, those are the highnesses personal servants and guards. Please let them come with us" you bowed, pleading him. Xie Lian furrowed his brows. "Qi Rong, let them." He commanded and Qi Rong groaned. "Fine..." he grumbled. The ride was....eventful.. you had to stop Qi Rong from crashing into people. And you were glad you didn't die when you got out of the carriage, letting out a sigh of relief. You followed Gege to his mother, a struggling Qi Rong in your arms, while My Qing and Feng Xin stood guard outside, bowing before her as a greeting. "Xie Lian!! Finally willing to visit your mom?" She said. "Didn't I just visit two months ago?" He sweatdropped and you deadpanned. "What a heartless child.." she started talking on but you started to zone out. Staring into the distance, letting Qi Rong go. As you came back to reality, Qi Rong was trying to throw a jug at Mu Qing, luckily Xie Lian held his arm, only Mu Qings clothes were splashed. You quickly went to check on him. "Mother I forgot to mention something, you need to confiscate his carriage.." "No! That was a gift for me from Yimu!!" Qi Rong argued. "Even if it is it must be confiscated. We almost caused a disturbance in the streets! You best not touch it again until you learn how to drive properly." Xie Lian strictly said. They argued and finally settled. Now both Xie Lian and you casually strolled around the imperial capital accompanied by Mu Qing to visit his home as he'd suggested the day before, your hand in his. As you were close, kids approached and begged Mu Qing for treats, who gave it to them. You smiled, Mu Qing isn't as cold heartead as he looks! Xie Lian glanced at you, it left a bad feeling in his gut seeing you smile at a man that wasn't him. Suddenly there was a boom and a cacophony of galloping noises from the main street, the long shrieking whinny of a horse, and people screaming. You and Xie Lian rushed to the alley, seeing Qi rong on his carriage, whipping the horses brutally. It was a chaos. "OUT OF MY WAY, GET OUT OF MY WAY! IF YOURE THAT BLIND, I DONT CARE IF YOU GET TRAMPLED!" Qi Rong yelled, your nervously bit your finger. Xie Lian ordered Feng Xin to stop him while you noticed something at the end of the carriage. It was a bag and inside the bag seemed to be a child. Your breath hitched and you grasped Xie Lians rope tightly. "Xie Lian..." you pointed at the bag. Xie Lian raced up to the carriage, unsheathed his sword and struck down, making the rope snap in two and the sack dropped to the ground. It rolled for a bit until it came to a stop. You and Xie Lian bent forward to inspect it. It was dirty and drenched in blood. You bit your lips and Xie Lian glanced at you, seeing your hurt expression. His brows furrowed, he hates to see that expression on you.. You the ripped open the sack, inside was a child that was curled into a ball, hugging his head tightly. He was a mess and was obviously severely beaten, so badly he didn't look human anymore. You quickly enveloped the child into your arms, the child only looked as if he was seven or eight but he was already mistreated so badly. You hugged him to your chest tightly. "Feng Xin! Arrest Qi Rong!" Xie Lian commanded angrily. You heard sounds of whinnying and the angry roars of Qi Rong. "He's been stopped!" Feng Xin yelled back, you sighted in relief now paying your full attention to the boy in your arms, not caring if he was dirtying your robes. Xie Lian went to handle it while you followed him with the child. You felt the child jerk kn your arms and looked down at him. "How do you feel? Do you feel pain anywhere especially?" You soothed gently. It amazed you how alert and conscious the child was, even if he was suffering from such heavy and gruesome wounds. You saw blood on the face of the child and quickly went to check for other possible head injuries, but the child clutched half of his face with his hands, stubbornly refusing to show you. You soothed him caressing his hair. "Shh..it's fine you don't have to be afraid..I only want to check your injuries okay?" You smiled reassuringly. The child pressed his hands down harder, revealing one large obsidian eye, looking panicked that something would be discovered. Now you recognized that boy, it was the falling child from yesterday! You frowned slightly. "You always seem to get yourself in trouble.." you sighed pressing his face to your chest as you saw his fear. He gripped onto your robes. You continued to caress his hair to make him feel at ease.
Timeskip
You were now at the palace, you have already informed the doctors. "Put your down first, little one. The child has been still in my arms for a whole, but now he started struggling and firmly covered the right side of his face, refusing to reveal it. No matter how much the doctors tried, he didn'twant to cooperate. You sweatdropped. The doctors turned to Xie Lian who was standing besides you. "Your Highness, how..?" Xie Lian raised a hand. "He's probably afraid of strangers. It's fine, let us." Xie Lian bent forward to the child that was still in your arms. You patted the boys head. "What's your name? Im Xua Y/N, this is his highness Xie Lian.." you told him your names so he could trust you more. The child stared at Xie Lian intently before turning his stare to you. His gaze was kinda scary, as if possessed by the devil. But you didn't care, although it shouldn't be the gaze of a child. He must have come across a lot of hardships. You looked down at him in worry. The child then bowed his head. He mumbled something and the only thing you were able to catch was "...Hong.." He sounded embarrassed and his voice was a little mumbled. "Hong huh?? That's a really beautiful name.." you patted his head and he blushed slightly. Xie Lian then asked another question. "How old are you?" "Ten." The child responded and you were shocked, he didn't look like ten at all. After a small pause Xie Lian smiled. "The doctors will see to your wounds now. Don't be afraid to lower your hands, okay?" You patted his head again. The child hestitantly shook his head and you stopped. "Why not?" You asked and he looked up at you, before returning his gaze to the ground. "Ugly." Your eyes saddened. It was truly pitiful that he was insecure about his looks at his age, he couldn't be a normal boy. You bit your lips. "Why do you think so?" You asked, yet he didn't answer. You sighed. "I'm sure you look beautiful..." you tried to coax him but no matter how much you or Xie Lian tried, he didn't dare to remove his hands. The imperial doctors couldn't do much and only made him recognize numbers of fingers to make sure he didn't have a headache. You let the boy go and the doctors started their work. You nervously fiddled with Xie Lians hands. He then liften his rope revealing his arm. „Want to bite?" he asked gently. You stopped fiddling and glanced up at him shyly nodding. He neared his arms to your face and you grabbed it, biting down. Xie Lian didn't feel any pain at all and smiled. You then stopped biting down, leaving a bite mark on his arm as you sat up straight again. „Thank you Gege.." Both of you heard the doctors click their tongues in awe. „How is he, everyone?" Xie Lian asked. „Your Highness, did this child really get beaten and dragged along the roads in a sack. You furrowed your vrows in confusion. „Why would that be false?" You asked. The imperial doctor replied, „If that really is the case, then...amazing. I have never seen anyone so tenacious. He has five broken ribs and a broken leg, and many other injuries big and small. But despite all of that, he's remained conscious the entire time and even could hold a conversation while sitting upright. Even adults would find that difficult, never mind a ten-year-old child!" Your eyes widened in worry and astonishment. Xie Lian became even more furious at Qi Rong and clutched your hand tighter. You both looked at the child that was sitting there as if he wasn't in pain, stealing glimpses at Gege and you. When he noticed you caught him staring, he immediately turned his head away. „Will his injuries heal?" you tensed at Xie Lians question. The doctor wrapped a new layer of bandages around the childs head and replied, „not a problem." you sighed in relief. „Thank you for your hard work." you nodded along Xie Lains thanks. An attendant then came in to notify of the arrival of the King and the Queen. Xie Lian let go of your hand and moved the child to the bed, as you sat on it. „Lie down and get some rest. Y/N will stay with you." you nodded, smiling at the child before turning your gaze back to Xie Lian, waving good bye to him. He lowered the bedside curtains before raising to his feet and waved back with a smile and left. You then turned to the child. „Let's go get some sleep, I will be with you okay?" The child shyly nodded and lied down, you laid down beside him and enveloped him into a hug. He blushed on burried his face in your shoulder. You could hear them arguing but soon doozed off. After a while Xie Lian came back and woke you up, giving you a kiss on the cheek slyly. Appearently while you were sleeping the child sat up again, when Xie Lian arrived he laid down again. You sighed. „Did we scare you with that quarrel just now? Don't let it bother you; it has nothing to do with you." Xie Lian reassured and you pat the childs head. „Your Highness, this child's wounds have been tended to. Now he need quiet rest." You sat up from the bed, letting Hong go. „Thank you." Yie Lian slightly dipped his head. You then bent down to the child. „Where do you live? I'll take you home." You offered. Hong then shook his head. „No home." you furrowed your brows sadly. „No home? So, he really is a beggar?", Feng Xin walked up to you and asked, you noticed his broken arm. „What happened to your arm?" you asked, but your question was ignored. Xie Lian pondered for a moment. „If that's the case, then let's bring him with us back to Mount Taicang." You smiled and nodded. „That's a good idea." But suddenly Mu Qing spoke up. „He's lying."
