Calista heads home to her dorm in college. her roommate is at a party and she wanted to stay and study for the big final that is coming up. and if she doesn't pass she can't graduate. so she works herself hard because she wants this more than anything after coming out of a dark spot in her childhood and now she's an adult on her last year of college.
her phone rings and she picks it up. 'hello?' she writes down what she reads in the books as she holds her phone with her shoulder. "hows my favorite niece?" she smiles as she puts her phone down. 'i'm your only niece.' she leans back in her desk chair and gideon smiles as he holds his phone to his ear. 'but i'm just studying got to ace this test or i can't graduate.' she leans back up grabbing her pen again.
she starts to read and write. "you're working yourself too hard callie." he walks around the FBI building and sees Hotch who walks up to him but he holds up a 1 meaning to give him a second. 'says the man who barely even sleeps anymore.' he laughs a little and holds the phone to his ear. "can't always sleep when you're busy." she smiles and keeps writing. 'i know how that is.' "well i guess i'll let you go so you can study." she keeps writing and smiles at her phone.
'don't work too hard.' he laughs. "i will if you don't." 'deal.' she says goodbye and they say 'i love you' to each other and then hang up. then her phone rings again and its her roommate. she hears the door knob moving outside her dorm and turns. she answers the call. 'forget your keys again?' she laughs as she drops her pen and stands up walking to the door. as puts her hand on the knob unlocking it and turns it. thinking it's her roommate who forgot the key and she never knocks always jiggles the knob. she opens it and she doesn't see her roommate. "im still at the party cal." calista sees her ex standing there with a gun on his side. "i was just wondering if you were gonna stop being a nerd and come have fun." she backs up into her room and he walks in.
"cal did you hear me?" rebecca asks through the phone. calista holds the phone to her ear and can hear her friend asking her if everything is okay. 'bex he's here.' the man charges for her and she dodges it but he grabs her again and throws her at the wall and around the room. "callie what do you mean he's there?" rebecca starts to freak out. knowing the worst is gonna happen. her phone now on the floor. "callie?" "calista!" she can hear rebecca's voice coming through her phone. as rebecca can here her screams and cries. "calista what's going on?" rebecca starts to freak out. 'get off me!' calista yells, pushing him off. she holds her side where he cut her.
"calista!" rebecca yells through the phone as she hears her friend cryibg and begging for him to stop. she hears "you messed up!" in a males voice. 'you're a psycho!' calista yells at him. she punches him in the face. she finally gets out of his grip and grabs her phone and starts to run. shes only in her socks and pjs down the halls. they're empty because of the party downtown. nobody is really here but a few students. the man runs after her.
she runs down the stairs and slips falling. 'shit!' she yells but gets back up and starts running down the stairs again. "callie what the hell is happening?" she gets to the door that leads out to the lobby in the first floor. 'he's here bex. he attacked me. i heard a noise and i thought it was you but it wasn't. he's after me and then it's max and you then the others.' she opens the door and starts to run down the hall. she gets outside and keeps running. "okay just take a deep breath and don't stop running." rebecca tells her friend as she looks around.
she stops looks back and doesn't see him. she looks around and doesn't see him. 'bex i don't see him.' she turns around in circles looking everywhere. "don't stop running callie. where are you?" she stops spinning and looks at the tree in the middle of the college campus. 'i'm outside by the big tree. i ran out here.' she turns her head and gasps seeing the man standing in front of her. "calista?" she hears her roommates' worried voice and she keeps on asking if she's okay and what's going on. 'i love you guys.' is the last thing rebecca hears from her.
the man grabs her phone out of her hand, throwing it down and grabbing for her but she moves, punching him. but he punches her back even harder which makes her fall. rebecca can hear her scream over the loud music thats coming inside the building but after calista's one scream she doesn't hear a thing. the man covers her mouth, picking her up and taking her back to his car. "calista?" she yells through the phone but she doesn't get an answer she just gets looks from people around her. worry flows through her.
she removes the phone from her ear and rushes back inside the building to their group of friends. they see her face which looks worried. "bex what's up with you?" niki asks her friend and they all look at her. "he's got her." they all look at her in panic. "i was on the phone with her telling her to stop being a nerd and come. she thought i forgot my keys again." she takes deep breaths before she starts talking again.
all their attention is on her and no one is saying a thing. "i heard everything." the tears start to fall down her face. "i heard his voice and i heard calista begging him to stop. he was hurting her. then she got away and started running but he caught up to her." everyone looks at her in pure shock. some looking at her like she's making this up. "this is real guys. why would i lie about our best friend being kidnapped by that psycho?" she looks at them all and they look at one another.
"then why are we still standing here?" max says as he starts to walk out of the building and the five friends follow behind him. the three girls and two boys. they walk out of the building and to the parking lot rushing to their cars. they rushed back to the college. "she was outside last i talked to her. so look everywhere for her phone." rebecca says as they all rush out of the cars and run to the campus.
they use flashlights to look around. kennedy finds her phone close to the tree. he picks it up and sees some blood. "guys!" he yells loudly for them to all hear. "i found her phone!" he yells, all five of them rush over to him and stand there. staring at her phone. rebecca looks up and at the building. "our room." she says rushing towards the building. "bex wait." lukas runs following behind her and everyone else behind him.
ten minutes later:
one of the agents tells gideon he has a phone call. he excuses himself from the meeting and goes to where the phone call is coming from at one of the desks instead of his office. "hello?" he says through the phone as he sits down in the chair. "jason gideon?" he hears a young woman's voice through the phone. he tells her that it's him. "this is rebecca, calista's roommate." she looks around their dorm room and sees it's a total disaster and there's holes in the walls and blood marks on the walls.
she looks at the picture on calista's wall on her side of her family when she was eleven. "she's been kidnapped." gideon leans up from his chair and puts his elbows on the table. "if this is some prank." the girl immediately stops him before he says another word. "sir i promise you it's not. i called her to get her to try and come to a party so she doesn't work herself to death studying." rebecca turns around and faces her friends.
the boys are seeing if they can find anything that might help them figure out what happened to their friend. they know she was taken but wants to know why. rebecca starts to cry even more than she already was. "and when i was on the phone she opened the door and she said there was a man. i heard her crying and begging him to stop. then she ran outside and then all i heard was her screaming." she starts to sob and lukas comes over to comfort his girlfriend.
"why didn't you tell him his name?" max asks, pissed, stepping up to rebecca. kennedy pulls him back and tells him to chill. tears fill maxs eyes. "we'll tell them tomorrow. he could be tracking our phones." niki says comforting her friend. "if she's dead before we find her it's all your guys fault for pushing her to do that to him." he jerks from kennedy and leaves the room crying walking down the stairs and out the doors and walks away from the college.
few minutes after that:
in the building gideon stands up after telling rebecca he's on his way. he starts to walk to where the meeting was. "we have to do this another time." he says to all of them as he turns around and starts to walk to his office. hotch and them all follow after him. "we can't just stop, there is a psycho out there." elle says as she walks by him. gideon stops and looks up at them. "and my niece is another one of his victims." thats all he says then walks into his office grabbing his things. he walks passed them all heading out of the building.
he gets in front of him and stops him. "move!" gideon says aggressively towards the agent. "you aren't doing this alone. i'm coming with you." gideon doesn't even argue as him and hotch go and reid right behind them because hotch told him to come as well. they all get in the car and head down to the college that's an hour away. gideon doesn't say a word to them the entire time. all he can think of is where his niece is and if she is okay or not.
hours later: (the morning)
they get to the college and they see cop cars surrounded and students and teachers everywhere gettibg questioned by police. they all three get out and the dean talking to a cop recognizes gideon. she stops talking to the cop and walks over to them. "jason." she greets him with a handshake. "a missing student is a big deal around here." she says looking around with a lot of cops talking to students and professors. a cop comes over to them and they show him their badges. "so you're related to the victim?" the cop asks and gideon puts his badge in his pocket.
he tells the cop how he's related to her and asks if they can see the dorm room. the cop leads them into the building and they get in the elevator heading up to the third floor. the door is wide open and police tape around the door. he removes it and walks in first looking around. seeing the whole room destroyed. he looks over and sees dried blood. he gets closer to it and looks at it. "she was bleeding." he runs his hand over the blood.
hotch and reid come up behind him and look at it. they all three look around the room trying to figure out what happened. "looks to me like she put up one hell of a fight." hotch says walking over to the dresser with scattered papers. "she always has. thats how she got away when her family was killed." gideon says as he starts going through papers looking for whatever hints they can find.
reid spots what looks like a crumbled up envelope and picture underneath it in the trash can beside her desk. he picks them up and unwraps them. seeing that its been opened. turning it around seeing 'calista' written in caps. he opens it and there's a piece of paper inside and then the picture. he stands up and opens it. he starts to read it. "i think i found something." he says, turning to face hotch and gideon.
he shows them the picture showing a picture of her and her friend group with lines across their faces. then he shows them the note. gideon reads it out loud "i will take you out one by one. starting with you my precious gem. you will regret what you did to me. thinking you can live without me. you will regret everything you ever did. it'll be you first then your precious maxie is next. remember i know what i'm doing. shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place. now you're all gonna end up dead. but first the torture goes on for weeks until i get tired and want the next. should've stayed with me gorgeous. ~ C" he looks at the paper and reads it over and over.
"we need to talk to some of her friends." he says looking up at the cop. who nods and says he'll gather them in the library. he hands the note back to reid. "don't lose that or the picture." he walks out leaving hotch and reid behind. they look at one another. "you think cal got involved with the wrong crowd?" reid asks looking at hotch and then at the picture on her desk with all her friends. "if she did i bet she regrets it now." they both walk out of the room and head down to the library.
they sit in different spots to talk to all her friends and other students who knew her but wasn't that close with her. maybe one of them would know something. rebecca is sitting down talking to reid. he tells her his name and what he does and she smiles already knowing because calista always talks about the FBI and about all the agents she knows.
hotch is talking with max first who was her boyfriend a year ago but they broke up and stayed close friends. they were friends first and they just didn't work as a couple he tells hotch. and he ask him if he would ever think about hurting her on how they broke up. max looks at him hurt that he would accuse him of that. "callie is one of my best friends. i would never hurt her!" he points his finger in the table. "if you want to look into someone i suggest you ask her current boyfriend who is a fucking psycho! his name is connor peterson." max stands up and turns around to walk off.
hotch tries to stop him but he keeps walking. gideon sits down with a young woman who taps her foot on the ground to keep herself calm. "i just want to ask you a few questions if that's alright?" gideon asks and she looks at him and nods. "you're a close friend of calista gideon right?" the girl responds with yes and that her name is niki. "when was the last you seen her?" she puts her hands on her lap and leans forward.
"yesterday at five after i left campus." gideon puts his hands together and leans his elbows on the table. "and where were you when she went missing?" "where everyone else on campus was the bar across town. we didn't leave until rebecca came and told us what happened." gideon nods and looks around the room. "shes up there talking to one of your agents." he nods and turns back to looking at her.
"is there anything you could think of who would want to harm or take her?" niki looks around the library seeing her her rebecca up top with her face in her hands crying. then sees max storm out. she turns to look at gideon. "she had a boyfriend named connor peterson. she broke up with him a few months back because he was controlling and acted strange. he abused her as well." tears fill her eyes. "we had to encourage her to leave because she was so scared. so after she broke up with him he kept coming around stalking her, threatening her. and then everyone of us." the tears fall down her face.
she takes a deep breath and lets it out. "she didn't think anything like this would happen until she got that envelope. none of us did." she wipes her face with her hands wiping the tears away. "when did she get that envelope?" niki closes her eyes. "the same time we all got one. which was a month ago." she opens them and looks at gideon. "what makes you think her boyfriend did it?" he is her uncle and he didn't even know about these boyfriends and he talks to her a lot. "because of what we did." he leans back in the chair.
"he was hurting her and we all talked and took it into our own hands hoping he would stop. but it just got worse. we got the picture and notes three days later." the tears keeping falling from her eyes. she rest her elbows on the table and runs her fingers through her hair. "she didn't want to tell you about it. because she didn't think it was a big deal." she looks up at him and sees the concerned look on his face. "all of us will do whatever it takes to make sure she makes it home safe. mostly me." gideon tells her thank you and excuses her.
she gets up and walks over meeting rebecca at the stairs and they both walk out together. reid and hotch walk over to gideon. "did either of you talk to a connor peterson?" gideon asks hotch and reid who look at him and both answer. "no." gideon sighs and stands up. "i'm thinking he's our guy we've been looking for. and he was dating calista. but she broke up with him because of what he did to her." he holds his papers and they all walk out of the library. they all walk outside the building and follow the police to the station.
the next day:
she wakes up in a dark room. only light she has is the lightbulb that hangs by a string. theres no windows but theres a door. she gets up and runs to the door trying to open it. but it won't budge. "i already tried it." she hears a girls voice and turns around. a sixteen year old walks out of the darkness into the little light they have. "you must be calista. i'm harper." she puts her hand out to shake. and she's confused but shakes it.
calista looks at the young girl confused. the girl catches on. "connor is my older brother." calista looks at her shocked. 'wait your brother?' the young girl nods her head. "i'm here because i tried to turn him in. you're here because he feels like you betrayed him. and wants to make you pay. and everyone else you know suffer." harper walks up to her and grabs her hand and whispers to her. "when he was younger all our childhood pets would go missing. but over the years i found out it was him. and now he's the one raping innocent women and killing them after." calista looks away from the girl and steps back.
she looks at the door it's a metal door. she turns her body facing it. 'connor!' she yells and starts banging on the door. harper immediately grabs her telling her to stop. pulling her away from the door. she steps in front of her. "are you crazy? don't provoke him. it'll piss him off." her hands on calista's shoulders then she removes them. calista sighs and turns around putting her fingers to her hair. 'i should've reported him ages ago.' harper and her sit down in the cold floor not saying another word. waiting for the worst to happen.
two hours later:
the big metal door swings open and the two girls sit back against the wall. they see a flashlight and then footsteps walking up to them. they try to move more but the wall is no help and if you even tried to move or run they don't know what would happen. "let's go." connor says grabbing calista by the hair and pulling her up. 'stop!' she yells at him and pushes him back. 'connor what the hell are you doing?' he shines the flashlight in her face.
"you know exactly what i'm doing. and you deserve it." he comes up to her and punches her in the face and then grabs her taking her out of the room. she begs him to stop. and harper doesn't do or say a thing terrified that he might kill her like he killed their parents.
connor takes her into another room and throws her down. he beats her up as she tries to fight back but then ties her up and does the worst after she doesn't want to. he keeps doing it for hours until he's had enough and throws her into the room with harper again and she's crying. harper comes to comfort her as the big metal door closes and locks.
two days later:
its been a few days and they still have no leads on connor or if calista is alive. but gideon hopes shes still alive and alright. at the police station they search through files on connor and he has had a bad history growing up. and he is five years older than calista. as they're going through paperwork and trying to solve what they're doing. max comes in all their attention goes to him. "i might know where connor is at." gideon takes his glasses off and holds them in his hand. "where would that be?" hotch asks, looking at him.
he grabs his phone out of his back pocket. "theres this abandoned building thats past downtown." he goes to his camera roll and clicks on the photo he has of the building and hands it to hotch. "he goes there all the time." hotch goes and hands it to gideon. they all look at the photo of the building. "we used to go to parties there. thats where cal met him." morgan looks at the young boy.
"and how do you know her?" he asks as they hand him the phone to hand back to the boy. "she's his best friend who's also an ex." hotch answers for him because he interviewed him. they all look at him. "you walked out on it which was suspicious." hotch says walking up to him. max looks at him and then to everyone in the room.
they all stare at him as hotch crosses his arms. "i left because you accused me of something i'd never do." he looks at hotch making eye contact. "and i had to find out myself on what happened. i know calista better than anyone." he steps in front of hotch. everyone stands thinking the boy is gonna punch him.
max stares at hotch and he does the same. "that doesn't mean anything." hotch says to the boy standing in front of him. "believe me or don't believe. i would never hurt her. i love her. i'm not some psycho who hurts someone i love." he points his finger down and then turns around to walk out. hotch tries to go after him but gideon tells him to leave it.
max walks out of the building and walks down the street. he turns his head looking to the other side of the street and thats when he sees connor. his blood boils through his vain. and he storms over there. cars stopping and honking at him. he pushes connor against a brick wall and everyone around stares.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!" he yells in connors face but he just smiles. he hits connor against the wall making him grunt a little in pain. "I SWEAR IF YOU LAY A HAND ON HER I'LL KILL YOU!" two men interrupt pulling max off him. "DON'T!" max yells as the two men hold him back. "HE'S A MURDER! CONNOR PETERSON KIDNAPS WOMEN, RAPES AND MURDERS THEM!" he yells and everyone around us quiet not knowing what to believe or what to do.
max starts to cry. connor leans off the wall smiling. "you just made it a lot worse for her." he turns around walking off. "NO!" max yells. "DONT LET HIM GET AWAY!" he starts to sob. he jerks away from the two men and pushes past them going back to the other side of the street back to where he just was. everyone watches him and looks over as he runs back into the fbi building.
hes still crying and runs in hotch being the first one who sees him. "look who's back." he says kind of harsh but not noticing his tears until he gets close. that's when he feels bad and asks him what's wrong. "i just saw him." he says trying to hold back the tears. everyone else starts to gather around them.
he looks at them all. "i think i just made it worse for her." he starts to cry again. "we have to go. i know where it is. if he doesn't move her." max says looking to gideon who nods. "what are we waiting for let's go." they all start to head out. reid stays behind with garcia.
max sits in the front while hotch drives. elle is in the back with some swat and morgan and gideon are in another car with swat in their backseat. they arrive at the building. max looks and sees a car he recognizes. "thats connors jeep." he points to the right and hotch and elle look. hotch looks at him. "you stay in the car." he points at max. who unbuckles his seatbelt. "yeah i don't think so." he opens his door and gets out.
hotch sighs and him and elle both get ou along with everyone else. they all shut their doors quietly and talk over a plan and go separate ways. max stays with hotch and gideon while morgan and elle go together. they walk around opposite sides. max, hotch, and gideon go through a side door that was already open. morgan and elle go on the other side.
calista and harper sit close together leaning against the wall on the cold floor. they hear the door open and look at each other. they may not see each other but they know. connor turns on a light switch from the outside and the whole room lights up. they see him standing there looking angry. he's looking directly at calista.
she tries to scoot back even more when he starts to walk towards her but theres only a wall. he grabs her by her shirt picking her up and pinning her against the wall. "you messed up you know that?" he smacks her in the face which makes her head turn to the side. he grabs her face and squeezes it forcing her to look at him.
she looks into his eyes and all she can see is madness. "you could've been mine forever but you and your stupid little friends ruined it." he takes his hand off her face and throws her down making her land on the floor. she looks up at him starting to walk up to her. she starts to scoot back. "you are the love of my life baby. why can't you understand all i want is you and me." she keeps scooting back trying to make it to the open door.
"you don't need anyone. i'm the only one and you're just being a little bitch." she finally gets close to the door and stands up. "you run its just gonna make it worse for you baby." she looks at harper who nods her head telling her to go. she looks back to connor who has stopped looking at her. she gives him the middle finger and then bolts.
connor starts to run after her. but harper jumps on his back stopping him to let her get away. "get off me you little bitch." he slings her down and then turns and punches her in the face over and over until she passes out. he turns around and runs out. calista runs through the building not remembering where she even is. she thinks she recognizes it but she's so out of it she doesn't remember.
all she knows is to keep running. connor grabs a crowbar he finds on the ground and runs it through the wall. "come out come out wherever you are!" he yells and she can hear his echo. but so can the others on the bottom floor. hotch nods to go up and morgan does the same with elle and they all meet in the middle walking up the same stairs quietly.
she gets to a deadend and looks around only way is up on the beams or down which is far far down she wouldn't make it. she looks up seeing if she can climb but there's nothing to help her. "there you are." she turns around when she hears connors voice. she looks back down. "thought you could really get away?" he laughs and starts to walk up to her. she turns around to look at him.
he walks up to her with the crowbar ready to hit her with. she thinks and remembers a certain move her brother taught her years ago. she's never tried this in anyone so she hope it works. as he goes to hit her she ducks and and goes around him. he stands up and goes at her again. she grabs his arm that holds the crowbar. then she kicks his feet from under him and falls.
the crowbar falls out of his hand and falls down you hear it hit the ground. she looks at connor who looks at her. he just smiles and stands up. "come on baby don't be so difficult." he comes walking up to her she backs up and runs. he follows after her. he catches up and throws her into a room. she is on the ground and scoots back.
connor walks up to her. she hits her back against the wall. 'con please you don't have to do this.' he smiles and walks up to her. "but i want to. i just want it to be me and you forever." he leans down and she tries to move but he grabs her face again. "why don't you want that?" he asks and smiles leaning in close to her going to kiss her. but he stops who he hears a gun cock back.
"fbi!" morgan says as they all hold their guns at him. max standing behind them. connor moves from her and stands up. putting his hands up. "what a shame we can't finish." he says to calista who just stares at him. he turns around facing them. that's when he sees max and he smiles. "should've known you'd be the one to rat someone out." hotch steps up to him as they all hold their guns towards him.
hotch puts the handcuffs on him and he looks at hotch. "it was fun hearing them scream." he looks at everyone else. "its good you caught me because i wouldn't have stopped." they all stare at him. "you're sick." morgan says to hun and connor just smiles. hotch takes him out and gideon rushes to calista. "honey are you alright?" he helps her stand up and she feels weak but he catches her before her knees give out.
'just hungry really.' she looks at max. 'maxie.' tears fill her eyes. he walks up to her and she removes herself from gideon and meets him in the middle. they wrap their arms around one another. she cries in his arms as he holds her close. he whispers to her. "i got you. and i promise i'm gonna do better to protect you." she removes her head from his shoulder and looks at him. 'harpers here.' they release their grips from one another.
she tells her uncle and the rest who harper is. with the help of max holding her up and showing them where they were. they get in the room and see harper on the floor. she gets away from max and rushes beside her. 'harper?' she taps her face. but she doesn't answer. she moves her ear to her chest hearing her heart still beating. she sighs in relief. 'she's alive.' max comes and helps her up as morgan picks up the teen girl.
they all start to walk out and down the stairs. meanwhile, hotch waits outside with the police and ambulance. "you should try it sometime." he turns his head looking at connor who is staring at him from the police car. the window rolled down a little. hotch walks over there and leans against the police car. connor just smiles. "the first one was the hardest. but as i kept going it got easier." hotch looks at this man in disgust.
connor keeps on smiling. "calista was eye candy and i knew she would be my perfect little toy." "shut up." hotch says looking at him and walking away from the police car as they all come out of the building. max is now carrying calista in his arms. connor sees and he yells through the glass. "i'm coming for you all!" he yells and max and calista look at him but then look away as she rest her head on max.
morgan lays harper down in the gurney as the paramedics take over. another one checks out calista who is bruised and bloody from the past few days. max sits beside her as she lays her head on his shoulder. gideon walks up to them. "cal?" she leans her head up from max and looks at her uncle. "i'll leave you two alone. i'll be over there." max says to calista as he points to hotch. she nods.
max gets up and walks away. gideon sits down beside her. "are you okay?" he asks looking at her. she smiles and looks at him. 'i'm alive. thanks to you.' he smiles and looks in front of them agents talking to police and max. "why didn't you tell me about him?" he asks looking at her. she looks at the ground and shrugs. 'i didn't want to be a bother. you have better things to worry about.' "callie." he wraps his arm around her and she looks at him.
"you're my niece." he pulls her in and kisses the top of her head. she lays her head on his shoulder. "you always come first." she smiles and leans up to look at him. 'thank you.' he smiles. "no need to thank me." she smiles as he kisses her head again and stands up. "got a place to stay?" he turns to look at her she smiles and looks at max who smiles at her.
she looks back to gideon and smiles at him. 'yeah.' gideon smiles and nods. "don't be afraid to call." he points at her and she smiles. "i mean it." she laughs. max starts to walk back over. 'don't worry i will.' gideon turns around and walks off. max leans against the ambulance. she turns to face him. 'can i stay with you tonight?' he smiles and comes to stand in front of her. "don't even have to ask." she smiles as she hops down removing the blanket.
harper got taken to the hospital while she stayed back since her injuries weren't that bad. they just had to stitch her up a little and doctor her up. calista and max get a ride with hotch to maxs mothers house. gideon in the passenger seat turns to look at her. "you going to be alright." she smiles and leans between the seats.
'for the tenth time i'll be fine. don't work too hard.' she kisses his cheek and moves away. 'love you.' max opens the door and gets out then helps her out. "love you too kid." he says out the window. she closes the door and comes over to the window. "take it easy. tell everyone i said thanks." he smiles and tells her that he will.
she moves away and walks off with max to the front of the house. they get greeted by his mother. "you believe she'll be alright?" hotch asks as they watch them walk in the house. gideon smiles. "she's a tough kid." he turns to look at hotch who looks at him. "so yes." hotch nods and starts to drive off.
gideon looks back at the house and smiles knowing now that she is safe. and the man that was kidnapping, sexually assaulting, and killing women for who knows how long. he's just glad they got him in time before he could kill again.
