Ragini's pov-
Me and Bhai-sa were busy preparing for our fight, and as we were about to begin Nandini came inside
"Bhai-sa, Bapusa has called you, you have to go right Now"
"Why? He's busy talking with Aaditya"
Said Bhai-sa
"I don't know but He's very angry you should go asap"
Nandini said
"Okay"
Bhai-sa keeps his sword aside and heads outside
"Then We'll continue this tomorrow"
I interrupt
"No jiji you can practice with our soldiers, till Bhai-sa comes, he'll be free in a few minutes"
"Okay"
I frowned while She hurriedly took Bhai-sa with her out of the gate and I concentrate on sharpening my skills, I start practising with a few soldiers.

Within a few minutes a sharp voice echoed through the room
"Ekant"
Privacy
Before I Could turn around and face him he turned me around and looked at me with a shocked face filled with anticipation
"I didn't know you knew how to use a sword"
"There are a lot of things you Don't know about me hukum!" I say with a small smile plastered on my face
"Really?" He questions, his brow cocking up in response
"Yess"
I say distancing him by placing the sword between us. He went and took another sword which Bhai-sa had left nearby
"Let's see how good you are at this princess"
"Trust me hukum you won't be disappointed "
I attacked him as he dodged It, we played a few tricks on each other and soon after a lot of clashing of swords, jumping and twirling I got him, my sword nestled near his throat while our breaths were heavy as it was a long and tiring session I soon closed my eyes and Let out a sigh to release the tension, but within a second he got back at me,
He banged my sword to the side and held his near my throat. I gulped at The proximity while he simply smiled and said
"Careful princess you shouldn't trust your enemy"

"Leave me hukum"
As soon as he heard my words he pulled me closer by my waist as I crashed into his front. I slowly looked at him and he seemed a bit lost in something. I seized the opportunity and took his sword and kept it against him.
I must say he was impressed by my act as his lips lifted in a proud smile.
"Remember hukum, you shouldn't trust our enemy"
He laughed a little and I was mesmerised by his hoarse heart felt laugh, he then bounced to the other end as we began to fight again.
This time however I mistakenly hurt him on the bicep and as soon as I saw the blood oozing out I panicked and dropped my sword to rush towards him.
"Hukum- I Am...s- so sorry"
"It's okay just a minor cut"
He said while trying to move his hand a bit
"Minor cut?,Seriously hukum! You're bleeding come I'll bandage it"
I hurriedly sat him down and called the servants to bring The aid box for bandaging
She soon arrived with it and offered to help but Something in me ignited. What was it? this feeling... They all left as I came near him and thought of bandaging him But then it clicked me he had to be shirtless and I couldn't do that here in the open area if anyone would see then
1. They would scold me for hurting their beloved son -in -law and
2. They wouldn't think straight Especially Nandini
I held his hand and took him to my room while he looked at me with a 'what are you doing' face
I sat him on the bed and asked him to take off his kurta
"Take off your kurta hukum"
"What are you trying to do princess, if you wanted me to be shirtless you should've said so what was the need to give a cut"
He smirks and leans back resting on his palms
"That...is ..not w-what I meant, I need to bandage you That's why"
I stutter badly, and tell him the reason because he always looks for a reason to tease me but right now I need to cure his wound.
"Hmm okay then"
He slowly took his kurta off torturing my eyes with his well built as there was this constant urge to feel them
I shake off those thoughts while blinking continuously and concentrate on bandaging his wound. I took the antiseptic in my hand and was about to apply it on him but instead I land on his lap, and I can very well assure that I did not stumble this time, his grip was firm around my waist as he looked at me as if nothing happened.
"What are you doing huk -"
He pulled me closer, his hand slowly circling around my waist as he slips it inside my dupatta in a painfully slow way. His cold fingers brush against my skin and I hold myself from letting out any sound.
I tried to get up but his grip was way too firm and I accepted I wouldn't be able to fight him anymore, my energy was already drained from the fight. Opening my eyes I look at him.
"It Is better this way, you can see The wound from close you know"
He smirked. I bandage his wound but he keeps staring at me continuously, as if would disappear if he looked away even for a second. I gather my courage to ask him
"Aap hume aise kyu dekh rahe hai" -why are you looking at me this way
"Kaise?" -how am I looking at you
He holds me even closer, as if there was any space left
"Jaise aap abhi dekh rahe hai waise"
-the way You're looking right Now
I Don't look up at him as We're already really close and I am scared I might accidentally kiss him while looking up
"Toh aap hi bataiye kaise dekhe, aap toh hume dekhti nahi"
My head jerks up to look at him, I gulp. How would he know why I Don't look up at him. If I did I would lose my senses, his eyes are immersive and so so captivating. I am afraid he might catch me staring at him, and see me blushing.
"Aisi baat nahi hai hukum" I look away answering him in the lowest voice possible
"Toh aap hume chupke dekhti hai" He tilts his head towards me, in order to maintain eye-contact but I refuse to look him in the eyes
"Huh! Nahiii aisa nahi hai hukum aap galat samaj rahe hai"
"So that means you Don't find me attractive"
"No no you are really attractive Hukum- I can't even stop stari -!"
What am I doing I shut up soon as realisation hits me I am saying this all out loud. I bite my lips cursing myself mentally for whatever I just did.
"Acha toh ye baat hai hmm!"
He tries to supress his smile but fails miserably
He then tugs at my waist and puts his finger in my waist chain, a shiver runs down my spine as I fist my skirt, I straighten my back and I place my right hand on his left shoulder(near me) and try to get up
"Don't even dare to move princess, You'll cause problems"
"What problem?" He leans in closer to my ear on the left
"Trust me you don't wanna know baby"
He twists my waist chain sending goosebumps all over me. My grip tightens on his shoulder at the proximity. His fingers dance around my waist drawing invisible circles,
"Hukum- aap... Ah"
He slowly licks my earlobe, A moan tries to escape my mouth. I try to control myself and bite my lower lip to shut any voices That might come out of me.
"Yes princess! what about me?"
He bites on my earlobe slowly and kisses beneath my ear on the jaw.
He then Looks at me With the slightest smirk and it doesn't go unnoticed by me. I keep biting my lower lip not sure what to answer as his thumb makes his way up to my lips.
He stares at them for a moment after slowly pulling out my lower lip by pressing on my chin
"I can do that for you princess"
"Huh!?"
I was so lost I didn't even hear him properly. Did he say something important. Should I ask him again?
"Stop biting your lips princess"
"Or what"
God knows where this underlying courage in me comes out of nowhere and puts me in an even dangerous situation
"I might kiss you baby"
I look up at him all flustered would he really?
"...and trust me It won't stop there"
He continues
No no I Don't want to lose My first kiss This way. I'm not at all ready for this. I'll go mad if this happens right now. Shit! what do I do. But there's this constant thought in my head, I want to forget all this and kiss him right now and see what all he is capable of doing to me.
Thankfully, I Don't Let my intrusive thoughts win over me and try to get up and this time he lets me go. I rush outside and after walking for a while I sit near the garden as all the scenes replay on my mind again and again on repeat. My face must be all red by now. I hope no one sees me I look around to calm myself only to remember what happened on the night of Our engagement. He held me close like always.
All the thoughts disappear when I heard a giggle. I get up and follow the sound and find Bhai-sa and Nandini sitting together with Bapusa.
I remember he was angry so I decide to ask him
"Bapusa why were you angry at Bhai-sa?"
"When was I angry"
He looked at me confusingly
"You called him today saying You're-"
I tried to speak further
"Actually he forgot, right Bapusa"
Nandini interuppted
"Yeah I was angry but not that much, he messed up some work"
Bapusa looked around Nervously while laughing a little but I sense something is unusual
"By the way, what took you so long Ragini"
Bhai-sa looked in my direction with a teasing smile. Now I kind of get what is happening here.
"You left so I was practising, nothing much-hmm... now I get it what were you all trying to plan huh!"
I replied
"You know what Bapusa, jiji enjoyed sword fighting today"
Nandini looks at me with a huge grin
This was a setup plan. I knew it how Could she let me stay here peacefully
"Why? Did Anything unexpected happened"
Bapusa asked me trying hard to hide his smile
"I know what you all are trying to do, I will tell Maa-sa and you all will be dead, Bapusa I didn't expect you to be involved with them and Nandini just wait till you get married. You'll be doomed sis!"
"Relax Jiji There's no need to bring Maa-sa in this"
Nandini panicked
"Acha just wait and watch, and Bhai-sa You're also doomed I'll tell Bhabhi-sa what you Did a few days back. You were the one who accidentally broke her vintage neck piece, She's busy finding the culprit all over the palace, when I'll go and tell her that you did it she'll be so furious.."
Bhai-sa stands up abruptly
"Hey! No I didn't even know What Nandini was planning okay. It was all her plan we are innocent"
Bhai-sa said looking at Bapusa and stood beside him
"Nandini tu toh gayi"
I run after her
"Arre jiji hum toh mazak kar rahe the"
She started running and and I chased her until we reach her room, where she finally stopped and we both were breathing heavily. I twist her ear as she lets out a scream and asks me to leave her. We sit on the bed to rest a bit and start talking about random things. She asked me about how everyone was there and especially hukum. What do I say now? How he makes me feel like a teenage girl in her lover ear or how he ignored me for his work, mentioning me as just a mere responsibility. But maybe... maybe we could be more than that, could we?
