it was around 9 pm when seorin arrived at the boys' dorm to cook for her boyfriend. she called jisung to open up the door for her, which he did as soon as she told him to. he was waiting for her at the door.
"dude, you look so good- oh!" she gasped as he pulled her inside and closed the door. he brought her straight into a hug and bent down to rest his head on her shoulder
"are you okay, ji?" she said, rubbing his back and playing with his hair with the other hand
he only hummed and re-adjusted his head, his nose now tickling her neck
"just missed you," he mumbled
his breath was warm on her neck, sending tingles down her spine and sparks inside her mind. her heart picked up its pace, and her stomach churned in anticipation
"i missed you too, love" she smiled
"you guys are always hugging each other, oh my god" they heard haechan huff from somewhere inside the dorm
"be thankful they aren't doing anything else" chenle added
and so, all the boys began making comments
"they're babies, chenle" -jaemin
"they're grown adults, jaem" -renjun
"but they're still innocent and pure at heart" -mark, with an endearing tone
"I'm not sure about seorin but jisung certainly isn't" -jeno
the pair pulled away from the hug, the taller with a sigh, and took note of their surroundings to see his room-mates all gathered around, watching the two
"are you guys spying on us?" seorin asked
"whaaat? no pfffft" renjun answered, chuckling awkwardly at the end
"yeah we were" chenle shrugged, earning a smack from the older chinese
"it's kinda sad because you don't have your own girlfriends so you spy on me and my own," jisung shook his head
"hey it isnt because we're all single, it's because we're making sure" haechan defended
"making sure... of what?"
"just... you know. making sure"
"well, have you made sure yet?"
"yes?"
"then please go back to your rooms," the youngest of the boys smiled but he sounded desperate as he said his words
the boys definitely had a bigger dormitory than the girls. the girls had 2 rooms whereas the boys had 3 but more spacious rooms.
jisung and chenle shared a room, with two single beds for each of them. renjun, jaemin and jeno shared their room too, with a bunk and single bed. and mark and haechan shared a room with the same layout as chenji's room.
the boys scattered to their own rooms and seorin couldn't help but notice how the dorm was definitely cleaner than what she had seen that morning with meihui
"jaemin hyung had us all clean up the dorm. he said when you and mei came over this morning the dorm looked like a pigsty and had us clean everything up because it embarrassed him," jisung said, he noticed how seorin's eyes wandered around the dorm in wonder
"it's really cool in here," her eyes wandered off to the small pictures of all the boys taken years apart but in the same pose. she walked closer to the shelf where they rested, "those are so cute"
he walked over to her as a smile crept up his face and his tone changed to a more nostalgic one, "we've known eachother for the longest time. my hyungs mean a lot to me, even though i think I don't do a good job showing it. but i really don't know what i would do without them all. just the thought of the absence of even one of them scares me."
"I'm glad you have them, ji. I'm sure they know you love them a lot, and i know this with certainty that they love you just as much- seeing as you guys have been friends for so long, you must've bonded over so many different things, seen eachother at your highs and lows. its a really beautiful relationship to have with your friends"
"it's really special," he looked at her but she was a step ahead, already looking at him with a small smile on her face but her eyes were twinkling with love for him.
he had suddenly forgotten what he was about to say, his words were stuck in his throat but he couldn't get them out. so he spoke from the heart instead.
"you're beautiful," he said, so softly that nobody would've heard if they weren't near him
"so, very beautiful, seorin."
he shifted closer to her, resting his hands on her waist as she brought her hands to his chest.
they stayed there in silence for a while, wallowing in eachother's warm embrace. they stared into eachother's eyes, both of them feeling like they were on top of the world in eachother's arms. to the pair, nothing else mattered in the moment, feeling like they had won all the prizes in life in that moment. they knew they didn't need to say anything to eachother as they relished the warmth of their embrace. they could've stayed that way forever- and if it wasn't for the male's belly rumbling, they probably would've
seorin let out a small giggle at the sound, "come on, hungry man, let's get you some food."
she brought her hand down to pat his stomach but eyes eyes went wide in shock at the feeling of his abs
"dude wha-"
"seorin," he murmured, embarrassed and grabbed her hands, "let's just go eat"
"okay hottie" she winked and he groaned more in embarrassment
"stop"
"dude you're literally asking me to kiss you all the time and now look at you. all shy and shit."
"okay but that's different- and you were the one who said you wanted to kiss me first!!"
"fair enough, but now you're the one who wants it more than anything"
"so are you saying you don't want to kiss me?"
"no! i do want to kiss you-"
as soon as she said that, he closed his eyes and leaned in with his lips puckered up and she scrunched her nose as she put her hand against them
"not now when any of our friends could see though- they've already seen us hug so much i think they're tired of it now"
he leaned back and pouted but smiled just as quick, "fine. I'll get that kiss, park seorin," he then quickly pecked her forehead, leaving her in shock, "a proper one" and with that he walked away into the kitchen.
seorin just stood there, still taking in what had just happened. her cheeks were heating up and she swore that her heart was going to explode.
jisung popped back out of the kitchen, "come on, let's eat. I'm hungry"
coming back to her senses, she quickly followed behind the man who was responsible for her state. when she entered, she saw jisung with his back turned to her as he rummaged through the cabinets. she just stood there, staring at him, suddenly aware of how handsome he looked even in the simplest outfit.
one of his signature black jackets and grey sweatpants. not to mention the overly attractive newly dyed white hair.
somehow that made her skin flush even more.
the boy turned around to see if she had followed him inside yet, only to find a bright red tomato.
"rin?"
snapping out of her daze, her eyes went wide as she looked at the boy
"what about ramen?"
and that just sent her into a bigger frenzy.
she blushed even more- if that was even possible, struggling to find her words. mouth open to answer but nothing came out.
"are you okay, babe?"
no, she was not.
the use of the nickname made things worse for her as she started to hiccup out of nervousness
"dude-" he said, panicked, "uh let me get you some water-"
god how seorin wanted to bury herself because of the embarrassment.

seorin had calmed down, as it seemed, after she downed 3 glasses of water. they both settled for ramen- jisung who hadn't thought anything of it and seorin who was still a bit shaken up (in a good way) at what had happened. they sat across eachother at the table as they ate.
'he says he's gonna get a proper kiss, kisses my forehead and then offers to eat ramen. at his fucking dorm. oh my god what is happening' she thought
they ate in silence, mostly because she was too shy to say anything. but it was still a comfortable silence.
she noticed how fast jisung was eating, afraid he'd choke she decided to finally say something
"eat slowly, jisung," her volume was low, but concern was evident in the way she spoke, "did you eat at all today?"
he thought back to his day, and shook his head, "i had snacks here and there but this is my second meal after breakfast"
"you should eat three times, ji"
"i know but i was practicing the whole day and couldn't really afford a big break"
her eyebrows furrowed and she reached to hold his hand, "but still, not taking care of your health doesn't risk anything but your life"
"rin, i know you're worried, but I'm fine," he rubbed his thumb on her hand, trying to comfort the worried girl
"i know but- just don't be hard on yourself, okay? and please take breaks in between, no matter what you're doing" she looked at him with serious concern and he smiled at the warm feeling that erupted within him at the realisation of being cared for so deeply.
"I won't. I'll make sure not to worry you, so please don't. you're too pretty to be frowning because of me" he winked, successfully this time, after he finished and she chuckled
"and you're too pretty to be stressing yourself out. i hope you know you can always count on me for anything and everything. I'll try to be helpful to the best of my abilities for you"
"you being with me is enough help, seorin. i really appreciate you in my life. thank you for liking me," he said, words leaving a deep impact on the girl, who's heart melted.
"i don't just like you, jisung. i love you. if there's a bigger word than love, i would use it," she intertwined their fingers, "and thank you for letting me love you and loving me back"
