Seo's POV
As we were doing the project, the front door opened and then closed again. I was quite confused but shrugged it off. After a while, the room's door burst open.
"Hi Lou-, oh hi I didn't see you there sorry to disturb you guys." a guy said
"YAH park Shi-woo I told you to knock" Louna shouted
"Geez I'm sorry and show me some respect, I'm older" Shi-woo said as he closed the door before Lou could scream at him more
"Sorry that was my older brother Shi-woo" my friend apologized
"It's fine but I did not know you had a brother"
"Yeah he used to study abroad, so he's rarely home, I don't it's necessary to mention him to friends who would never see him, but he joined our school a few months ago"
"I just saw him" I pointed out
"You are one of those rare exceptions" she said
"Are you sure or are you just saying that because you never had many friends?"
"You bitch"
I just laughed. We spent the rest of the time leading to dinner doing the assignment and talking about random things again.
Time skip to dinner
"Louna, Ara, Woobin dinner is ready" Louna'a mom called
"Woobin is my brother's english name" Louna explained
"Your mom really like to use people's english name huh?" I remarked
"Yeah it's because she has lived in the States and Canada for a big part of her life." she explained
Louna's POV
I don't know why I just thought about this but if I think about it a little, Seo has never been the curious type a least for as long as I have known her, which is 5 years. I don't think she was looking for an answer when she said that about my mom.
Seo's POV
"The US and Canada..." I thought
"It's only been 4 years since I last went there, but it's like I have no important memory of the two countries" my thought continued
"I should ask my-"
"Hey Seo let's go eat before my brother eats all the food" my thought was cut of by Louna
"Oh ok" I replied
We went downstairs to the kitchen to find the whole table filled with delicious-looking food.
"Take a seat, I'll bring the plates in a sec" Mrs. Park said
"Mom, where's dad?" Louna asked her mother
"Oh he left for a business trip this morning, did he not tell you?"
"He didn't" replied Louna with a little bit of disappointment in her voice
"Oh well that's new" Mrs park said
"Thank you aunty" I said as Mrs park put the plate down
The three of us were talking when Woobin interrupted us by sitting down with a gloomy face. He was visibly very sad. He asked if he could take his food upstairs to his room. Not knowing what else to do Mrs park just nodded.
We helped Louna's mother wash the dishes after finishing our food. After that, we when back to my friend's room.
"Wait here I'm going to check on my brother" she said as we entered the room
"Ok"
Woobin's POV
After getting my food from the table downstairs, I when back to my room. I did not feel like eating with my sister who has actual friends. I was already in a bad mood since I was almost late for school and my day only got worst from there. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
*Knock *Knock *knock
"Come in"
"Hi" my sister said
"What are you doing here?" I asked with an expressionless face
"Just checking on you duh" she started
"You seem a little off today" she continued
"Huh, as if you cared"
"Geez, I was trying to be nice," she said and then left
I sight no one cared for me. Probably why my parents send me aboard for my studies and weren't as happy when I came back to Korea.
Flashback at school
I arrived at school just on time, 2 minutes before the gates closed. During the break after two classes, I saw my sister and her friend talking while going to their class. Then my eyes deviated to Lila, the girl I've had a crush on ever since my first day at Louna's school. Even from afar, she looks so beautiful. And that once she helped a boy achieve his dream of studying aboard just made me fall more.
"Woobin, I have I question" my sister said snapping me from my thoughts
"I thought you went back to your friend" I replied with an emotionless tone
"I remember a question I wanted to ask"
"What is it?" I asked since I wanted her out of my room
"Why were you staring at her earlier?" she ask
"Who do you mean by 'her'"
"Lila" she said
I stay silent, I knew if I told her I like her she would tease me about it.
"Ugh whatever, bai" she said before leaving
Louna's POV
After that, I went back to my room. Seo was just there, on the bed, zoning out.
"Hey, what you thinking 'bout?" I asked
She flinched before responding.
"You scared me" she said
"I was thinking about the past" she said responding to my question
"Oh ok"
Seo's POV
While Lou was talking to her brother I was thinking about the past, mainly about my life in North America. I don't seem to remember much from that time as if it was a past life.
"Hey what you thinking 'bout?" a voice suddenly said, making me flinch.
"You scared me" I said to my friend after realizing that it was her.
"I was thinking about the past" I told her, not wanting to talk about that subject too much
"Oh ok," she said not questioning further.
Time skip to a little bit later
"Why did you go see your brother?" I asked
"He seemed a little off today, I just wanted to make sure that he was ok. But he wasn't responding to my question and I saw him staring at Lila at school today" she said
"What?!" I said shocked
"Yeah I know I don't know why tho"
"But that bitch is so annoying"
she just nodded
We spend the next 2 hours chatting since we finish the project already.
"it's 10 pm, we should go wash up and then sleep since we have school tomorrow" I remarked
"yeah we should do that, I'm showering first" she said, whisper shouting the second part
"Ugh, fine" I said with an annoyed tone since I wanted to shower first
After washing up, we slept.
