In the hallway eeryone was playing with Pokémon. Mona was with peach and Daisy while reading about an eevee using a Pokédex
Mona: check this out! Eevee can evolve into 8 different types! You would love a Sylveon it's a diary type and the most elegant

The school bell rang
Mona: guess I'll tell you after class

Peach Daisy and Mona got to class right on time.
Mona waved at wario but he pretended not to see her so she just sat down at her desk
Joy: good morning everyone please set a timer because I have a fun announcement to make. You will all be participating in a week long project taking on the roles of parents!
The class was shocked
Mario: Uhh...
Joy: Pokémon parents! I will pair each of you up to take care of a precious Pokémon egg. So let's see here peach and Daisy you'll be working together. Douglas and Samus

Joy: Wario and Mona
Mona: Yes!

Joy: next we have donkey Kong and K rule
King K rool: NOOO!!!
Joy: Theater kids... and finally Mario and Luigi

Joy: not only are they incubated but a pokemon's friendship and warmth allows to hatch as well! I have been a Pokémon nurse for quite some time now so do believe I'm an expert when it comes to taking care of Pokémon
Mona started writing all the down in a notebook

Jessie: look at them James all those unhatched Pokémon for the taking! We also need to get that girls Pokédex
James: it's certainly a sight to behold Jessie
Meowth: capturing those Pokémon will certainly guarantee us a permanent spot on team rocket!
Jessie: but until then we're all just interns
James: unpaid interns! How I miss the smell of money!
Jessie: quit your sulking you drama queen we're wasting precious time! We need to hatch a scheme. Literally. Hmm I've got it!

Back in the classroom nurse joy was almost done teaching
Joy: and remember taking care of a Pokémon is no easy task. They require time effort and friendship
Mona: excuse me nurse joy does the egg look different depending on the Pokémon it is?
Joy: of course! If cared for proper your egg will hatch into your very own friend by the end of the week! Pokémon come in all different shapes sizes colors and variations. You'll surely be surprised when you see what's inside
Nurse joy walked over to a big Pokémon egg on a table
Joy: for example this egg was found on the top of Mount thunder. I've never seen anything like it before who knows what it will be
The bell rang for lunch

All The students walked out of the classroom and Mona was holding her egg
Mona: this project is the perfect story for the school paper! Plus we're parents! what do you think it's going to be Wario? I'm hoping it's an eevee because my favorite Evolution is-
Wario: I don't know and I don't care just don't call us parents ever again!
He walked away
Mona: see you later then...
Mario and Luigi walked passed Mona and she caught up to them
Luigi: isn't this great bro? We get to be parents together!

He looked at peach and Mona noticed this

Mona checked her Pokédex
Mona: I think nine tails is a fire type unless sonic thinks its a alolan form but those are ice and fairy types not flying
Luigi: that's really cool! how do you know so much about Pokémon?
Mona: when I find a good story for the school paper I do all the research I can
Mario: of course you do
Mona: and it's actually really interesting! And my favorite evolution of Eevee is...
Mona saw Mario started walking away but she and Luigi caught up to him
Luigi: so anyway bro I've taking the liberty of planning out an entire parenting schedule for us this week
Mona: I should do that with Wario! But I'm starting to think he doesn't want to be paired up with me...
Luigi: what are your parents like Mona?
Mona: my dad is an artist and my mom is a supermodel. But They're always busy traveling around the world for overseas jobs so I don't see them often... but I'll always take care of my egg for the week not matter what!
Luigi: just like me and Mario! Wait I almost forgot! We have to name the eggs!
Mario: name the eggs? We don't even know what they are!
Luigi: just a temporary name bro
Mona: I'll name mine... Ellie!
Luigi: that's a good name! I'll name this one uhh... eggy! No uh... scrambles! No hmm... wait I got it! Shelly!
Mario: Shelly and Ellie?
Mona: get it? Cause egg and Ellie both start with-
Mario: I get it
Shelly and Ellie shook a little
Luigi: Aww they like it! Come on guys! We have a whole day ahead of us! School with the eggs

Mario Luigi and Mona spent the whole day with the eggs. every now and then Mona would call wario but he didn't answer
Luigi: and we can teach Shelly and Ellie how to ride a bike and go to the movies and it's just like we're a real family again!

Later that day Mario got home late. He was talking on the phone with someone

He hung up and saw Mona and Luigi waiting for him

Mona: I texted you saying I was coming over. Wario isn't the best person to be paired up with so I thought Ellie and Shelly could have a play date!
Luigi: Not only that your late!
Mario: late for what? Oh it was my turn to take care of the egg wasn't it?
Luigi: Yeah! You know we're disappointed in you Mario! You've done nothing but neglect our child since the moment we got it!
Mona: what happened to what nurse Joy said about the eggs needing friendship and warmth?
Mario: there eggs! Just throw them under a lamp and they'll be fine!
Luigi: that's not the point!
Mona: did your parents ever do that to you?
Mario: Yes! Me and Luigi don't have good parents!
Mona: I-I'm sorry...
Mario: I-It's ok you didn't know...
Luigi: will you just try to take care of Shelly for me? This project means a lot to me and it's eventually going to hatch into something

Mona put a hat on Mario that had eggs on it and Luigi gave Mario a shirt that said 'I love eggs'
Luigi and Mona: Aww!!

The next day during lunch Mona found Wario and Waluigi right outside the school

Mona: why didn't you help me take care of Ellie? This is supposed to be a team

Wario: whatever don't you have a paper to write or something? Maybe go hang out with those dumb friends of yours
Mona: ...Wow being a parent helped me see you can be a bit rude sometimes
She just walked away

Mona: hey Luigi! How's Shelly?
Luigi: yeah Shelly's been great! I really wonder what its going to hatch into
Mona: I hope ellie is an Eevee. My favorite evolution of Eevee is-
Jessie kicked the door open and walked in. She was dressed as a teacher
Jessie: good morning class! My name is miss jay and I will be your substitute for the day i-it seems nurse joy has caught a case pokerus
Mona: I thought only Pokémon could get that disease...
Jessie: but she did let me know about your project's and said your eggs should be hatching soon! And I'll need your Pokédex for a different assignment
Suddenly James kicked open the door and walked in. He was dressed as nurse joy
James: good morning class sorry I'm late you know how long of a hike it is to get here
Mona: uh I'm confused I thought you were sick
James: I got better!
Jessie: James what are you doing? I told you I was going to pose as a substitute teacher and you and meowth get the eggs! Why do you think we tied her up in the first place?
James: I just couldn't resist! I look so fashionable in these heals
Mona: Wait a second I know you! You both steal other people's Pokémon!
Jessie: well looks like our cover is blown make sure to get this in the school paper... prepare for trouble!
James: and make it double!
Jessie: to extend our reach across the sky!
James: to steal the Pokémon of Nintendo high
They both got rid of there disguises
Jessie: Jessie!

Jessie: team rocket thrives in flare and size!
James: we'll hand out F's you'll never pass!
Meowth: Meowth is here the best in class!
Mona recorded there whole motto
King K rool: yep now I know why I took this class
Mona: Jessie is right this is totally going into the school paper. Hey can post this?
Jessie: of course!
Meowth took out a vacuum and started sucking all the eggs including Shelly and Ellie
Mario: Shelly!
Mona: Ellie!
Team rocket laughed evilly
Mario: stop it! Put them back!
Mona: you won't get away with this!
Mario: There's creatures inside of those eggs with thoughts and feelings! I'm not letting them get raised by criminals like you!
Jessie: not a chance twerp and twerpette! Meowth get the big one!
Meowth; you got it Jess!
He tried to suck up the big one but it was to big
James: uh Jessie this one seems to be a little to big
Mario and Mona tired to attack Jessie but she held them both back easily
Jessie: well try harder!
All of a sudden the big egg started to hatch
Jessie: Oh this can't be good
Zapdos hatched from the egg
Meowth: what kind of Pokémon is that?!
Mona checked her Pokédex
Mona: whoa it's a legendary Pokémon!
Mario: Mona not now!
Mona: oh right!
Zapdos blasted team rocket out of the school and into the sky. Then it just flew off
Mona: what just happened?
Mario: I honestly don't know
All the Pokémon eggs hatched including Shelly and Ellie
Luigi: Mario Mona look! Shelly and Ellie are hatching!
Shelly hatched
Mario and Luigi: yeah!
Yoshi: Yoshi Yoshi!
Ellie hatched into an Eevee and mona picked it up
Mona: Aww! Your name is Ellie and your perfect!
She took out her phone and started recording herself
Mona: the eggs hatched today and I got an Eevee! Also...
Mona looked around to make sure no one would interrupt her
Mona: my favorite evolution of Eevee is flareon!
