JEONG GARAM WAS RUNNING LATE. She was well aware about it, and is now currently running up to the stairs and to the spectating section of her family. ❝I swear, everyone just keeps me from doing something important for some idiotic reason.❞

The person to blame for her tardiness to her childhood friend's match against the star fencer? The reporters that caught sight of her frantic figure and blocked her from entering, asking to have an interview or questioning her about things she didn't even want to think about.

Of course, the noble born wasn't taught to be impolite— answering them with rushed responses as she nervously tapped the point of her shoes to the ground; wishing throughout that the match hasn't started yet. The Jeong panted and opened the door to the air-conditioned room, rushing to the windows to gaze over at the match.

Just in time, Na Heedo had looked at her particular direction and smiled in relief. Garam was a girl of her word, after all. The heir smiled back and waved her hand, playfully bowing her head as if she was apologizing for being late. Heedo bit back a chuckle, suddenly feeling her energy going back.

Ko Yurim silently gazed at her so called rival and glanced to where she was looking at, immediately recognizing the figure of Jeong Garam; causing her to smile slightly.

The Jeong suddenly turned her gaze to meet the fencer's one, whom looked away immediately, pretending to be preparing for the last point she will take.

Speaking of which, Garam just realized that the both of them have a tie points of 14. With a sigh of exhaustion, the heir leaned against the glass window.

Back against it as she crossed her arms in front of her with her eyes closed, not wanting to witness the fight against both the fencers.

She had an ominous feeling that this battle between both 'rivals' wouldn't end well.

Turns out, her feeling was right. Garam sighed in exasperation as she threw the newspaper on the fireplace, narrowing her eyes at it. ❝Bad mood, Ari?❞

Jeong Jiwoo questioned her younger sister who was standing with a glare set on the luxurious looking fireplace, placing down a mug of hot chocolate on the table for the young girl.

❝...A little, but do stop calling me by my english name. The name Aria is not suited for me.❞

❝Hey, you're insulting his naming sense here!❞

Garam once again gave a sigh and walked back towards the couch to sit down, attempting to try and calm her silent rage down. It was unusual for her to feel such a strong emotion, but society was just that shitty these days.

❝The media is still going stupidly crazy over the fencing finals incident, huh?❞ Jiwoo stated while holding her own mug, crossing her legs as she took a sip on the mug. ❝Na Heedo is in a rather tight spot right now.❞

The younger Jeong grasped her own mug and let it cool off by itself, listening at her older sister's words attentively with her gaze solely focused on her mug.

She didn't even adjusted her glasses that slipped down slightly on the bridge of her nose, mind going through thoughts after thoughts.

Suddenly, the older Jeong was smiling with a tint of mischief, gently placing the glass down on the table and clasping her hands to gain the young girl's attention. ❝Hey, what if the both of us meddle?❞

The young heir stopped whatever she was doing, blinking at the older heir of the Jeong family. ❝Meddle? What do you mean?❞ Jeong Jiwoo smiled out of pure mischief, knowing that her words had interested her sister.

❝Oh, you know, Ari... Maybe, I can have all the news about Heedo and Ko Yurim's match taken down in an instant. I don't know~!❞

Jeong Garam stared at her older sister in part disbelief and in part awe. ❝I do not know whether to be amazed at the fact that you're willing to help my friend or judge you for that somewhat stupid idea of yours.❞ The older Jeong chuckled at the unfiltered words of the younger Jeong.

It was somewhat refreshing to listen to the usually closed off Garam being open about her harsh opinions.

❝Stay in the middle, Ari. Now, if you'll excuse me, I will make a call now.❞

❝Stop calling me Ari!❞

❝Can't hear you!❞

The star pianist almost threw a pillow at her only sibling.

Jeong Garam furrowed her eyebrows at the echoing groans downstairs in confusion, suddenly curious as to what was happening in the ground floor of Taeyang High.

She sat up from her lying position on the makeshift bed and grabbed her phone, going out of her clubroom and walking through the hallways without a single fear. The girl was used to staying at the school until dark, anyway.

❝Huh? What are you guys doing here in such a late hour?❞

The sneaking trio yelped in fright at the sudden appearance of the voice, only to either sigh in relief or groan in mild annoyance when they recognized the figure.

Jeong Garam had her arms crossed as she looked up at the trio— Baek Yijin, Ji Seungwan, and Moon Jiwoong. ❝Garam, why the hell are you still here!?❞

Jiwoong whispered-yelled, only earning a raised eyebrow from the Jeong. ❝I have always been allowed to stay at school even at night for practice. Now, answer my question. What are you guys doing here?❞

❝Heedo is trapped here.❞

Garam suddenly narrowed her gaze at the three, causing them to flinch. Even Yijin, who was older than the girl. ❝What the hell do you mean with 'trapped here'? Where is she?❞

The three immediately pointed upstairs, as if it was enough for the suddenly intimidating pianist to know where. ❝The hangout at the rooftop? Let's go then.❞

The Jeong heir walked past them as she led the way towards the place, opening the door with the pass and opening the door— only to be met by what seems to be a narration of an unfamiliar voice.

Garam didn't bother with watching the drama unfold in front of her eyes, only rolling her eyes lightly as she tuned them out.

The star pianist went out of the place with Seungwan and Jiwoong who was chattering about a toilet ghost? How laughable.

❝This school is so full of filthy rumours.❞ She muttered to herself, flinching when both the childhood friends suddenly started running and screaming.

❝What in the world—?❞

Garam followed them out of concern, looking around the place while doing so. ❝What the heck is so scary about the hallway..?❞

When the girl finally reached them, it seems that they were reunited with the Baek and the Na before running away again. ❝Because it's scary!❞

Jeong Garam deadpans at their reasoning behind all the running and screaming.

The Jeong felt the wind blow past her as she jogged around the place, only to abruptly stop when she was met by the sight of Seungwan gushing about a sticker and how cute it was.

Was she into that? Garam chuckled lightly, shaking her head before playing her music again— jogging past the three. But guess what? She was stopped by the Moon greeting her.

❝Hey, Jeong Garam! Don't think that we didn't noticed you!❞

Halting her movements, the girl sighed as she paused her music; bringing the device back into the pockets of her sweatpants before walking calmly to the three.

❝It's nice to see you all again after such an eventful night.❞ Garam mocked them slightly, radiating faux innocence.

❝Why are you jogging around?❞

The Jeong shrugged casually at the Ji's question, sitting beside the only boy in the small group. ❝Is it bad that I'm taking care of my health?❞

Na Heedo almost gave the noble born an applause for how fast she came up with a lie. Seriously, the Jeong's brain capacity is so unbelievable. ❝Anyway, what were you guys talking about?❞

❝We're going to help Baek Yijin move back in on Seungwan's house, wanna come and help us?❞ Heedo offered to the rich girl who instantly smiled gently, giving a nod.

❝I suppose that I should give you lot a hand.❞

❝Great! Then, it's decided. Let's meet up on Seungwan's house!❞
