"All right. Tell me about Highway 41." Dean said to Sam, while driving down a road at night. "12 accidents over 15 years. Five of them fatal, all of them happening on the same night." Sam replied.

"So what are we looking at... Interstate dead zone? Phantom hitchhiker? What?" Dean asked. "Not quite. Year after year, witnesses said the same thing made them crash. A woman appearing in the middle of the road, being chased by a man covered in blood." Sam explained. "Two spooks?" I asked, curious.

We checked around the library in the town finding an old newspaper article from 1992. The article was about the woman, Molly Mcnamara and the man chasing her, Jonah Greely. Apparently they both died in a car crash when Molly accidentally drove into him.

The only survivor was Molly's husband David, who we went to visit next. "Now, where is Molly buried?" Dean asked him. "She... she wasn't buried anywhere. She was cremated." David replied, sadly. We asked David a couple more questions and took our leave.

"So much for burning her bones." Dean grumbled as we walked away from the house. "Yeah, but then what's keeping her here?" Sam asked. "Well, there's only one way to find out." I said and we got in the Impala driving towards the haunting road.

We reached the road and a couple minutes after we started driving down it, Molly suddenly appeared. She staggers onto the road, stopping in the middle with her hands out. "STOP!" She screamed out, terrified. "Holy...!" Dean exclaimed, stomping on the breaks and stopping the car just in front of her.

"You've got to help me." Molly said to us, while we stared back at her in shock. "Guys, I don't think she knows she's dead." Sam said to us, before she ran to the passenger's side and pounds on the window, which Sam rolls down. "Please. Please!" Molly pleaded as I lean froward from the backseat to look at her. "All right, all right. Calm down, calm down. Tell us what happened." Sam said to her, calmly

We parked the Impala by the road and stood around it with Molly. "I-I swerved, a-And we crashed. And when I came to, the car was wrecked and my husband was missing. I went looking for him, but that's when the man from the road, he... he started chasing me." She explained.

"Did he look like he lost a fight with a lawn mower?" Dean asked her. "How did you know that?" Molly asked him, surprised. Dean glances to Sam and I for a moment. "Lucky guess." He muttered.

"Ma'am, what's your name?" Sam asked her. "Molly. Molly Mcnamara." She replied and it was now Sam's turn to exchanged a look with Dean and I. "I think maybe you should come with us. We'll take you back into town." He said.

"I can't. I have to find David. He might have gone back to the car." Molly said. "We should get you somewhere safe first. Then the boys and I will come back. We'll look for your husband." I assured her, but Molly shook her head. "No. I'm not leaving here without him." She said.

I exchanged a look with the boys and Molly sighed. "Would you just take me back to my car, please?" She asked us. The three of us exchanged yet another look. "Of course. Come on." Sam said, Molly sighs in relieved and we all got back in the Impala.

We drove further down the road, until Molly told Dean to stop. He parks the car and we get out, where Molly leads us into the woods. "It's right over there." She said. Taking out our flashlights the boys and I shine them over the hill seeing nothing.

Molly looks around, confused. "I don't understand. I'm sure this is where it was. W-We hit that tree right there. This... this doesn't make any sense." She said and she went down the hill to investigate.

"Guys, we got to get out of here. Greeley could show up at any second." Sam whispered to us, once Molly was out of earshot. "What are you gonna tell her?" Dean asked. "The truth?" I suggested. "She's gonna take off running in the other direction." Dean said.

Molly looked back at us. "I know it sounds crazy, but I crashed into that tree. I don't know who could've taken it. It was totaled. Please. You have to believe me." She pleaded.

"Molly, listen, we do believe you. But that's why we want to get you out of here." Sam said. "What about David? Something must have happened. I have to get to the cops." Molly said, beginning to panic.

"Cops... that's a great idea. We'll take you down to the station ourselves. So just come with us. It's the best way we can help you and your husband." Dean said, Molly looks down for a moment in thought. "Okay." She muttered and walks back up the hill to us.

We drove down the road, with Molly sitting with me in the backseat. "We're supposed to be in lake Tahoe." Molly said, quietly. "You and David?" I asked her. "It's our five-year anniversary." She replied. "A hell of an anniversary." Dean remarked.

"Right before, we were having the dumbest fight." Molly said and sighs. "It was the only time we ever really argued... when we were stuck in the car." She said, making Sam laugh. "Yeah. I know how that goes." He said, earning a scowl from Dean.

"You know the last thing I said to him? I called him a jerk. Oh, god. What if that's the last thing I said to him?" Molly asked, tearfully. I frown at Molly, already feeling deep regret. No matter how this case turns out, it's gonna be heartbreaking.

Sam turns to face Molly . "Molly... We're gonna figure out what happened to your husband. I promise." He assured her. "He's right. We won't rest until this is all sorted." I said, patting Molly on the shoulder. Molly sniffs and smiles at us a little.

Suddenly the radio starts making odd noises, then plays 'House of the Rising Sun'. Dean frowns at it. "Did you... ?" He said, questionably to Sam. "No." He replied. "I was afraid you'd say that." Dean grumbled.

"This song..." Molly said, leaning froward in her seat. "What?" I asked. "It was playing when we crashed." She replied, Sam exchanged a look with me then Dean. The radio crackles again, and settles on another station. "She's mine. She's mine. She's mine." A creepy voice said. "What is that?" Molly asked, nervously.

A man, most likely Greeley suddenly appears in the middle of the road. Dean floors it straight at him. "Hold on." He said. "What are you doing?" Molly asked, terrified. Dean drives straight into Greeley, who vanishes in a puff of smoke.

"What the... What the hell just happened?"Molly asked, looking back, confused. "Don't worry, Molly. Everything's gonna be all right." Sam assured her. But right as he said that, the Impala begins to shudder.

"Spoke a little too soon, Sammy." Dean said as the Impala coasts to a stop on the side of the road. Dean tries to start it again but the ignition sputters. "I don't think he's gonna let her leave." He said.

All four of us exit the car and Dean walked around to the trunk. "This can't be happening." Molly said. "Well... Trust me. It's happening." Dean said, unlocking the trunk. He opens it up and starts pulling out weaponry. Molly comes around and sees the arsenal, backing away slowly.

"Well... Okay. Thanks for helping, but I think I got it covered from here." She said, nervously. "Wait. Molly, Molly, wait a minute." I said, going after her. "Just leave me alone." She said, continuing to back away.

"No no no. Please. You have to listen to us." Sam said, coming up beside me. "Just stay away." She said and turn to start leaving. "It wasn't a coincidence that we found you, all right?" I said, Molly stops and turn back to look at us. "What are you talking about?" She asked.

"We weren't just cruising for chicks or whatever (Name's) into, when we ran into you, sister. We were already out here. Hunting." Dean said, coming up on the other side of me. "Hunting for what?" Molly asked.

"Ghosts." Dean replied, nonchalantly and walks back to trunk. "D... d... don't... Sugarcoat it for her." Sam said, exasperated. "You're nuts." Molly said. "Really? About as nuts as a vanishing guy with his guts spilling out. You know what you saw." Dean said and Molly turn away.

"We think his name is Jonah Greeley. He was a local farmer that died 15 years ago on this highway." I said to her. "Just... stop." Molly said, shaking her head. "One night a year, on the anniversary of his death, he haunts this road. That's why we're here, Molly. To try and stop him." Sam explained.

Molly turn to look at us. "Now, I suppose this... ghost made my car disappear, too." She said. "Crazier things have happened, huh?" Dean said, coming back over, Molly laughs, nervously. "You know what? I'm all filled up on crazy. I'm gonna get the cops myself." She said, and started walking.

"I don't mean to be harsh, but I don't think you're gonna get too far." Dean said, getting her to stop. "What is that supposed to mean?" She asked. "Means that plan A was trying to get you out of here. Obviously that didn't go over too well with, uh, Farmer Roadkill." He replied.

"Molly, we're telling the truth. Greeley's not gonna let you leave this highway." I said. "You're s... you're serious about this, aren't you?" Molly asked, looking between us. "Deadly." Dean said.

"Every year, Greeley finds someone to punish for what happened to him. Tonight that person is you." Sam said. "Why me? I didn't do anything." Molly said, tearing up. "Doesn't matter. Some spirits only see what they want." Sam replied.

"So you're saying this... Greeley, he took my husband?" Molly asked, Sam and I exchanged a look. "Oh, god." Molly cried. "Molly, look, we're gonna help, all right? But first, you gotta help us." I said. "Help you? How?" She asked, confused and terrified.

Molly led is into the woods and towards the cabin. "This is it. This is where I saw him." She said to us, Dean and I enter the tiny building. "Must have been his hunting cabin." Dean said and we saw vicious tools hanging, a bloodstained table. "Huh. Seemed like a real sweet guy." He muttered and walked off.

"No markers or headstones outside." Sam said, entering the cabin. "You're looking for Greeley's grave?" Molly asked him. "Yeah." Sam replied. "Why?" She asked. "So we can dig up the corpse and salt and burn it." I replied. "Oh. Sure, naturally." Molly said, sarcastically.

"It's a way to get rid of a spirit." Sam said. "And that'll save David?" She asked, hopeful. "Well, this is what'll help both of you, provided there's a corpse to be found." Sam replied. "So how do we find it?" Molly asked.

"Uh I'm not sure. After Greeley died, his wife claimed the body. And that was the last anyone saw of her. So good guess she brought him back here. But they had a thousand acres. He could be buried anywhere on 'em." Sam explained.

"So this is really what you guys do? You're like Ghostbusters?" Molly asked. "Yeah." I replied. Though I guess we're missing a fourth person.

"Minus the jumpsuits. This is a fascinating conversation and all, but this highway is only haunted once a year, and we got till sun-up to wrap this thing up. What do you say we move it along, okay? Great." Dean said, briskly, and slips passed us going back outside.

We follow him back outside and continue our search. "What are we looking for?" Molly asked. "Greeley's house. Maybe he's buried there. Look for roads or paths or something. Stay close." Sam said. "Yeah. Okay." She replied, quietly.

We continue searching until suddenly we heard Molly scream in the distance. Sam and I took off in the direction of her, hearing gunfire. We soon found Dean and Molly. "Hey! Are you all right?" I asked them.

"What has that son of a bitch done with my husband?" Molly asked us, shaking. "Just take it easy, all right? You're gonna see David again. You will." Sam assured her.

"Hey!" Dean said and we look at him. "Follow the creepy brick road." He said, indicating the something was ahead of us. "Go ahead." I said to Molly, gesturing for her to follow Dean. I follow behind her, while Sam takes up the rear.

"That thing shoots rock salt?" Molly asked, referring to Dean's shotgun. "Yep." I replied. "And plain salt keeps away spirits?" She asked. "Simple remedies are always the best. In most cultures, salt's a symbol of purity, so it repels impure and unnatural things. Same reason you throw it over your shoulder." Sam explained.

We round the corner and found a creepy house. "You know, just once I'd like to round the corner and see a nice house." Dean said. Sam, Molly, and I enter the house, while Dean kept looking around outside.

"Any headstones outside?" Sam asked Dean when he does enters the house. "Yeah, right. Is it ever that easy?" He asked, annoyed. "I guess not." Sam replied. "You two check upstairs. See if you can find any notes or records telling us where he's buried. (Name) and I will just check down here." Dean said.

Sam and Molly went upstairs while Dean and I continue to search the bottom floor. After checking every room and coming up empty handed, we headed upstairs. "You sound almost sorry for them." We heard Molly said as we walked up the stairs.

"Well, they weren't evil people, you know? A lot of them were good. Just... Something happened to them. Something they couldn't control." Sam explained, making me smile a little. He's got such big gentle heart, even when facing something as dangerous as spirits.

We came up to the doorway, seeing they were sitting on a bed looking through a Photo album. "Sammy's always getting a little J. Love Hewitt when it comes to things like this. Me, I don't like 'em. And I sure as hell ain't making apologies for 'em." Dean explained

"There's nothing downstairs. You find anything?" I asked them as we enter the room looking around. "Uh, just about every piece of mail or receipt they ever had. Looked through a couple, but nothing about a grave so far." Sam replied.

I notice something behind a dressed and walked over to investigates the wall. "What?" Sam asked me. "There's something behind here." I said, tossing him my flashlight. "Here." I said and Dean helped me moved the dresser aside, revealing a small hidden door.

"It's locked from the inside." I said, poking at the little Coraline door. Turning around, I threw a back kick at the door, which does nothing. I frown at it in disappointment. Dean makes it look so easy.

"Let me." Dean said, stepping towards me. "I can do it. I never get to kick a door in." I said, Dean held up his hands and step back. I brace myself and kick harder. The door falls inward, making me laugh triumphantly.

Sam sniggers, while Dean shook his head at me. I turn around and crouched down in front of the little door, looking inside. Sam hands me back my flashlight and I crawl through the door, with the others right behind me.

Once in the room we brush away cobwebs to stand up. "It smells like old lady in here." Dean remarked, right before I found a corpse hanging by the neck from the ceiling. "And that would explain why." I said, as the others came up behind me. "Well, now we know why nobody ever saw her again." Dean said.

"She didn't want to live without him." Molly muttered, sadly. "Dean, give me a hand." Sam said, picking up a chair to take down the corpse. "Really?" Dean asked, Sam look at him, surprised.

"What are you gonna do?" Molly asked. "We can't leave her like this." Sam said to Dean. "Why not?" He asked, annoyed. "She deserves to be put to rest, Dean." Sam replied, Dean reluctantly agrees.

Sam stands on the chair and begins to cut through the rope as Dean steadies the corpse. "Son of a..." Dean grumbled at the smell, or the horribleness of holding a corpse.

Later, Sam and Dean dig a grave for Mrs. Greeley. "So... So, if you manage to put Greeley to rest, too... What happens to them?" Molly asked. "Lady, that answer is way beyond our pay grade." Dean replied. "You hunt these things, but you don't know what happens to them?" She asked, confused. "Well, they never come back. That's all that matters." Dean said.

I turn to Molly, seeing that this answer wasn't gonna satisfied her. "After they let go of whatever's keeping them here, they... they just go. I hope someplace better, but we don't know. No one does." I explained to her. "What happens when you burn their bones?" Molly asked.

"Umm... Well, my dad used to say that was like death for ghosts, you know? But... The truth is, we still don't know. Not for sure." Sam said, then looks over at Dean. "Guess that's why we all hold on to life so hard. Even the dead. We're all just scared of the unknown." He added.

"The only thing I'm scared of is losing David. I have to see him again." Molly said, pause for a long moment. "I have to." She said, quietly. I look at her sadly, then to the boys.

After burying Mrs. Greeley we return to the house, Molly was pacing in one room, looking through the photo album. While the boys and I were waiting in another room nearby. I watched Molly for a moment and sigh walking over to the boys. "I think we should tell her about her husband." I whispered to them.

"We can't." Dean replied. "Dean, it's cruel, letting her pine for him like this. I don't like keeping her in the dark." Sam said. "Same here." I said. "It's for her own good." Dean said, getting up.

"Look I know you guys feel guilty, all right? But let's just stick to the plan. Let's get her out of here. Then we'll tell her." He said. "Tell me what?" We heard Molly ask and we turn to see her in the doorway. "What aren't you telling me? It's about David. You know what happened to him." She said, distraught.

"Molly..." I tried to say. "(Name), don't." Dean said, stopping me from explaining. "Don't what? Don't tell me because I'll mess up your hunt? You don't care about me or my husband." Molly said, getting more upset.

"That's not true." Sam said to her. "Really? Then whatever it is, tell me, please." Molly said, with her voice breaking. Sam swallows, wanting to say something. Then we heard a radio turn on, static, then the song 'House of the Rising Sun' begin to play

"He's coming." Molly said, frighten. "Stay with her." Dean said to Sam and I as he cautiously went towards the sound. Molly and I were standing by the window, while Sam steps cautiously forward towards the next room.

Suddenly a figure crashes through the window behind us. I turn to attack but the figure flung me aside, sending me crashing into the wall. Molly was then grabbed and she screams as she is dragged outside. Dean comes running back in as Sam helped me up. "He's got Molly!" Sam yelled and we leap through the window to chase after them through the woods.

But we lost sight of them, and return to the house. "This guy is persistent." Dean growled. "We gotta find Molly." I said. "We gotta find Greeley's bones. And, uh, no pressure or anything, but we got less than two hours before sunrise." Dean said as Sam looked through the photo album.

"Hey." Sam said, getting our attention. "What do you got?" Dean asked, coming over. "'February 6, 1992.'" Sam read from the caption on a photograph. "That was like two weeks before the accident, wasn't it?" I asked

"Yeah. I mean, it looks like the hunting cabin, but... I swear there's a tree there right where they're standing." Sam said, we all look up and Sam scoffs. "I should've thought of it." He muttered. "What?" Dean asked.

"It's an old country custom, guys. Planting a tree as a grave marker." Sam explained, Dean and I stared back at him, surprised. "You're like a walking encyclopedia of weirdness." Dean said, then he turn to leave. Sam glared after him, shutting the photo album and dropping it on the table. "Yeah. I know." He said, somewhat bitterly and we left.

We approach the cabin from the outside, carrying shovels. "Go get Molly." Sam said to Dean, who heads inside while Sam and I start digging around the tree. Not long after we heard Dean shot his shotgun from inside the cabin.

We dig feverishly until Sam hits something hard. We looks down seeing it's bones. "HURRY UP, GUYS!" We heard Dean yelled from inside the cabin. Sam empties a box of salt into the open grave, while I empt a container of gasoline into the grave. Sam lights a match and drops it in. We both watch as the corpse in the grave catches fire and burns

Later, the boys, Molly and I approach the Impala. "Oh, baby, it's been a long night." Dean said to the car, patting it lovingly. He drops his bag in the back, then climbs into the driver's seat. "All right. Let's get you out of here." Sam said, opening the back door for Molly.

"I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what happened to my husband." Molly said, firmly. "Molly..." Sam said, sadly. "All this time... I've been looking for him, and you knew that..." Molly said.

Sam look to me across the top of the car, I stared back, sadly. "You knew that Greeley killed him, didn't you? He's dead." Molly said, in harsh and grieving tone. "No, Molly. David's alive." I said.

Molly look over car at me, confused. "What? You're sure?" She asked. "I'm sure." I replied. "We'll take you to him. Come on." Sam said, Molly smiles in relief and got in the car. Sam closed the door for her and look at me again. We both exchange looks of sympathy for Molly and got in the car as well.

We pull up in front of a nice suburban home, seeing the lights are on inside. "He's in that house, right there." I said to Molly. "I don't understand." She said, staring at the house in confusion. "You will." Sam said.

We get out of the Impala, Molly approaches the window, and sees David inside. He was wearing a bathrobe, and pouring a cup of coffee. "That's .. not... It can't be." She said, shaking her head. The boys and I watched Molly, then look at each other.

David looks up and a woman in a bathrobe comes up to him, kissing him on the lips. "What's happening?" Molly asked, quietly. She turns back to look at us. "Who is that?" She asked, distraught. "That's David's wife." I replied.

Molly turns around to look at the house again, then back to us. "I'm sorry, Molly. 15 years ago, you and your husband hit Jonah Greeley with your car. David survived." Sam explained to her. "What are you saying?" Molly asked.

"We're saying there isn't just one spirit haunting Highway 41. There are two. Jonah Greeley and you." Dean replied. "For the past 15 years, one night a year you've been appearing on that highway." Sam said.

Molly shook her head. "No, that's not possible. It was our anniversary... February 22nd..." She stammered. "1992." Sam said, finishing her sentence. "Yes." She exclaimed. "Molly, it's 2007." I said, Molly's eyes widen in shock. "Oh, god." She whispered, turning away for a moment.

"And Greeley?" She asked, turning back to face us. "Each year he punishes somebody for his death... ah, chasing them. Torturing them. And each year, that somebody is you." Sam explained to her. "But I don't remember any of it." Molly said.

"Because you couldn't see the truth, Molly." I said. "So that's why he won't let me off the highway. Because... I killed him. I killed us both." She said in realization.

Molly sat on the steps of David's house as dawn was approaching. "Why didn't you tell me when you first saw me? Why wait until now?" She asked. "You wouldn't have believed us." Dean replied. "And you needed me for bait." She said to Dean, accusingly.

"Well, we needed you." Sam said. "David." Molly whispered, lowering her head. "Molly, we brought you here so you could move on." I said. "I have to tell him..." She said, standing up from the steps.

"Tell him what? That you love him? That you're sorry? Molly, he already knows that. Look, if you want to go in there, we're not gonna stop you." Sam said. "Yeah, but you are gonna freak him right out. For life." Dean said.

"David's already said his good byes, Molly. Now it's your turn. This is your unfinished business." Sam said, softly. "What am I supposed to do?" Molly asked, tearfully. "Just... let go. Of David. Of everything. You do that... we think you'll move on." I said, softly.

"But you don't know where." Molly said as she begins to cry. "No. But Molly, you don't belong here. Haven't you suffered long enough? It's time. It's time to go." Sam.

Molly nods sadly, then steps slowly away from the house. She turns her face upwards as the first light of dawn creeps over the rooftops. Bathed in light, she becomes part of the light and vanishes.

"I guess she wasn't so bad... for a ghost. You think she's really going to a better place?" Dean asked. "I hope so." Sam replied. "Me too." I said. "I guess we'll never know. Not until we take the plunge ourselves, huh?" Dean said.

"Doesn't really matter, Dean. Hope's kind of the whole point." Sam said to him. "All right, Haley Joel." Dean said, smacking him in the shoulder. "Let's hit the road." He said, we cross the road and got back in the Impala as light rain begins to fall.

3rd Person P.O.V
(Name) sat on the curb outside her motel room, scrolling through the contacts on her phone until she found the number she was looking for. Hitting call she held the phone up to her ear, listening to the rings until... "Bobby Singer."

"Hey Bobby." (Name) said, a little smile quickly growing on her lips. "(Name), good to hear from you. You and the boys need something?" Bobby asked. "No, no. Well kind of... but also not really. I uh... I just wanted to ask you something." She stammered.

"What is it?" Bobby asked. "Can you tell me something about my mom and dad?" (Name) asked. "Where's this coming all of a sudden?" He asked, a little caught off guard by the question. "Well, the boys and I work a case and I guess it just got me thinking of them." She replied.

"Well, I didn't know your mom very well. But she was real sweet girl, just like you." Bobby said, making her smile. "And your father, was the shy type, just like you too. I swear that man got his own way so much, it's a miracle you were even born." He added and (Name) laughs.

"You know... as a kid you never really asked about your parents all that much. Aside from how they died. I think this is the first time you've ever asked about them again." Bobby said, walking over to his desk to sit down.

"Yeah, I think it is." (Name) muttered, squinting her eyes as she thinks. "Even though I don't say it, I do wonder about them all the time." She said.

"Well, if you want stories I got quite a few about your dad." Bobby said, reaching hand down to pull open the bottom drawer of his desk and took out a frame photo of himself younger with (Father's Name). They were both posing for their first regular hunting trip together.

"You know Meg said she saw my dad while she was in hell. Do you think my mom is there too? She was killed by a hellhound." (Name) asked. "I don't know, I hope she's not. She deserves to be somewhere better. They both do." Bobby replied, setting the photo on his desk and grabbing a bottle of whiskey.

"Yeah..." (Name) mumbled, a tear starts to run down her cheek. She clears her throat and wipes it away. "Well that's all I wanted. I uh need to get going. Sorry if I waked you." She said.

"Don't apologize, I wasn't even asleep yet. Tell the boys I said hello." Bobby said, pouring himself a glass. "I will. Bye Bobby." (Name) said. "Bye Squirt." He said and drops his phone on the desk.

Bobby looks at the photo again and raises his glass of whiskey in the air for a toast. "Here's to you, idjit. You got a great kid, just wish you were around to see it." He said to the photo, before downing the whiskey. He sets the glass back down on the desk, a tear running down his face.

Back at the motel, (Name) was still sitting on the curb, thinking. The longer she sat there the more overwhelm she felt at the reality that she will never truly know her parents. Tears started falling down her cheeks and she laid her arms on top of her knees and drop her head into them, to muffle her crying.

A little further down, Sam was walking back to his room with a soda. He sees (Name) and at first he smiles at the sight of her. But then he quickly realized she was crying and slowly approaches her. He sets hand on her shoulder and (Name) jumps, becoming defensive until she saw who it was. "Sam!" She exclaimed.

"Sorry. I-I didn't mean to scare you." Sam said, holding up his hand in surrender. "You didn't. I was just... testing my reflexes." (Name) said, chuckling nervously and clears her throat.

"Are you okay? Why were you crying?" Sam asked, softly, taking a seat next to her. "Crying? I wasn't cry. I never cry. Ever. Not once." (Name) said, defensively.

"Alright then uh..." Sam said and he reaches his hand out. (Name) tenses up as he gently rubs his finger on her cheek to wipe away a tear. "Then what's this?" He asked, holding up his hand. (Name) looks between Sam and his hand with only her eyes. "......My eyes were sweaty." She replied.

Sam scoffs and gives a 'now be serious' look, (Name) sighs in defeat and looks away. "Okay maybe I was crying a little. It's nothing thought, don't worry about it." She said. "You know, telling someone not to worry it's just gonna make them worry more." Sam said.

"I know. But it's no big deal, I don't wanna bother you." (Name) said, looking at the ground in front of her. Sam frowns at how defensive she always becomes when she's the one emotionally vulnerable.

Sometimes he can't understand how someone that is so loving and caring can become so resistant to the idea of letting anyone help her, the same way she has help him.

Sam scoots closer so that they were now shoulder to shoulder. (Name) turn her head slightly to look at him and Sam smiles at her, with big soft eyes that made her so feel safe. She turns away again and let's out a heavy sigh.

"It's just this case with Molly got me thinking of my parents a lot and how I'll never really know them. Like it said it's nothing." She explained, waving her hand, vaguely. "That's not nothing, (Name)." Sam said, softly.

"It just never really... hit me I guess, until now anyway. I'll never know who they really were. I mean sure Bobby can tell me stories about them or at least stories about my dad. But it's not really the same." (Name) said, not realizing her tears were quickly resurfacing.

"It's just really overwhelmed. All these questions are popping up in my head all at once and it just makes me..." She said, going quite as the tears ran down her cheeks.

"I'm sorry." She mumbled, wiping away a tear with the bottom of her palm. "No, no, no. Don't apologize. It's okay." Sam whispered, wrapping his arm around (Name) and gently rubbing his hand up and down her shoulder to soothe her.

"I imagine your mom and dad were incredible people." Sam said. "You think?" (Name) asked, sniffing. "I know. Because they had you." Sam replied, squeezing her shoulder a little. (Name) turns her head to look up at him.

"I bet they were the nicest, most warmest and loving people, anyone could know. Just like their daughter." Sam continue to say and (Name) stared up at him in awe, a little blush creeping on her cheeks.

"You're such a sweet talker." She mumbled, wiping her eyes. Sam chuckles and removes his arm from around her to help wipe away her tears and fix her hair. "Soda?" He asked, offering the can he had gotten for himself earlier. (Name) smiles slightly at the drink and took it. "Thanks." She muttered.

Sam and (Name) sat there for a moment holding a long gaze with each other. Sam glances down at her lips, feeling this intense urge to just go for it and be damn with the consequences.

But returning his eyes up to meet her's, he's quickly reminded why he's been ignoring every desire he's had to kiss her up to this point. As badly as he wants her, he was still too afraid of the possibility that he might lose her.

Once again, fear triumphs over heart.

"We should get some sleep." Sam said, looking away and standing up. "Yeah, you're right." (Name) said, standing up as well. The two face each other, like they want to say something but neither one was daring to speak.

(Name) clear her throat. "Well thanks for being a shoulder to cry." She said. "Anytime. Are you okay?" Sam asked, reaching for her but (Name) suddenly started walking backwards towards her door. "Oh, God, yeah. Me? I'm totally fine." She said.

(Name) turns and hits her face into the door, not realizing how close she was to it until she turned around. "(Name)!" Sam exclaimed, reaching his arms out to catch her as she stumbles back.

(Name) grimace, rubbing her face. "Damn doors always moving." She grumbled under her breath. Sam sniggers and rubs her upper arms to comfort her. (Name) groaned, lowering her hand from her face and looks up at Sam.

She freezes when she realized how close they were, practically nose to nose. Sam gulps when he realizes their position and he couldn't help but glance down at her lips again.

But instead of leaning down towards her, Sam instead leans froward to open the motel door for her. "There you go." He said, lightly pushing her inside. "Thanks Sam." (Name) muttered, turning around to face him.

Sam smiles. "You're a good friend." (Name) said and it felt as if a bullet just pierced his heart. Four simple words and Sam felt like he just hit rock bottom. He keeps his up smile though and nodded.

As soon as (Name) closed her door, Sam's smile was instantly gone. He sighs, turning away and sulking off towards his room, running his hand through his hair.

A few rooms down, Dean was peeking out through the curtain, watching everything. He looked pretty amused by the exchanged. He smiles, shaking his head and closes the curtain.
