By the time we had trudged to the cabins, the sun was setting, just as Yaomomo had predicted. Everyone was aching and exhausted. After creating some security devices, she took a small group of people to scout the surrounding forest, sent Iida and Tokoyami to check out the rooms, and Kat and I offered to cook dinner after discovering the kitchen was fully stocked, ready for 1-B's turn in the forest.

A bitter smile was on my face as I looked around, remembering what it was like the last time I cooked here. We were both so confused about our feelings back then, and Kat was so cold sometimes. The difference was outstanding. My heart flipped in my chest as I looked at the counter opposite the hob; the one I had sat on when me and Kat-

"Can you cut these up please?" I passed him a bunch of carrots and some spring onions. He wordlessly took them and started cutting them into chunks. We had been cooking in silence this whole time. "Kat?" He hummed. "I... I'm sorry." His eyes locked onto mine. They were breathtaking, as usual.

"Why?"

"I acted like a child. I should have just left. I'm sure your shoulder hurts from carrying me..."

"Don't apologise for that dumbass. You were upset."

"But I should have been able to swallow my feelings. How am I going to be a hero if-"

"Hina! Shut up!" My face warmed at the new nickname. "You're allowed to have emotions, idiot. You're only human. You feel so many things. It confused me at first. I thought you were weak or soft. But the reality is that you're strong. Much stronger than me. Because you allow yourself to feel everything. And because of you, I'm becoming brave enough to feel everything too."

"Kat..." I breathed, placing my hands on his cheeks.

"When you were talking about saving everybody, I saw it. I saw how amazing you are, and how amazing you will be. Your empathy is stronger than any quirk I've ever seen."

"That's... the nicest thing I've ever been told." He wrapped me up in a tight hug and kissed my forehead. Before he pulled away, I put a gentle kiss on the tip of his nose. He blushed but didn't say anything. "Thank you Katsuki. Thank you so much."

"Y-yeah, whatever." He turned around and put his attention on the bubbling curry. I smiled at his contrary attitude, the red on the tips of his ears telling me all I had to know.

While we were serving up dinner, Ochaco was scrolling through the channels on a small TV that I could have sworn wasn't there before.

"Guys, I found a news channel! Shush and listen!" We all settled down, chewing our food as quietly as possible.

"It is confirmed that 99% of heroes have been successfully captured by the League of Villains. Among these are the UA teachers, including the mysterious Eraserhead and his suspected husband, Present Mic. It has also been confirmed that the number one and number two hero are among the fallen, All Might and Endeavour. There's talk of what will happen to the children of these heroes, Shoto Todoroki and Hinami Hata, and of Eraserhead's class. Nobody has seen the class of 1-A since the attack on the school." Everyone gasped. I reached across the table and grabbed Todoroki's hand. He squeezed mine back, but kept his blank expression.

"I'm so sorry Shoto..." Mido leant backwards and rested his head on Todo's chest. He absently placed his free hand on his boyfriend's head and played with his green locks, that far away look never leaving his eyes..

"And I'm sorry, Hata. It must be hard to hear that your parents have been captured, as well as your uncle. And you too, Todoroki." Tokoyami bowed his head slightly as an act of condolence. "We will all be here to support you both in these times."

"Thank you Tokoyami." I whispered, a heavy feeling weighing down my chest. "I'm not worried about them." I lied smoothly, forcing a tight smile. "They're all pros for a reason. They're tough and can take care of themselves." Kat found my hand under the table and gripped it tightly.

"Hey, Hata?" Sato asked nervously. "Your parents... Aizawa..."

"Yeah."

"Aizawa's your dad?" Mina stated, obviously kicking herself for not realising sooner.

"I'm surprised you extras didn't already know. Yamada is super affectionate to both of them." Kat rolled his eyes. Most of the class did a double take.

"Yamada?"

"Yeah. That's Present Mic's name. He asked me to-" He stopped suddenly, realising that everyone was staring at him. "Tch. What's it to you morons?"

"Since when did you two get so close, mon chéri?" Aoyama raised an eyebrow.

"Not that it's a competition, but me and Hina are closer than any of you guys could ever hope to be." I knew that my cheeks must have been bright pink. Not only did he tell everyone that, but he even used his new nickname for me.

"Oh. My. God." Ochaco squealed. "Hina! That's the cutest thing I've ever heard!" Katsuki growled and turned away, a little pout on his face.

I glanced over at Todo, who's expression looked a little softer, and relaxed slightly.

Once we had all finished eating and had taken a little while to unwind, Yaomomo shooed us upstairs for an early night. Nobody bothered making a room plan. The Bakusquad - it's been a while since anyone used that name - found one of the bigger rooms and decided we'd all camp in there for the night.

"Should I go and get stuff for people? It sounds a bit weird but I kinda forgot that I could go back..."

"No way. It could be dangerous. Nobody knows that we escaped. What if the League are keeping an eye on the dorms?" Sero pointed out.

"We need you here, not getting captured as well." Kami threw himself backwards, his head landing on my lap.

"Thanks for the concern, Kami." I twirled his shaggy hair in my fingers. "But I'd be okay. Plus, nobody has anything. And none of your parents know where you are or that you're safe."

"I'm sure they know that nothing drastic happened." Mina said through a mouthful of crisps. Kat walked into the room, a spare towel slung over his shoulders, and his damp hair fluffing up as it dried. He swatted at Kaminari, trying to take his place.

"What are you lot talking about?"

"Hina wants to-"

"Start again."

"Hinami," Mina corrected, raising an eyebrow at me. I thought it was quite sweet that he wanted dibs on my new nickname. "Wanted to go back to the dorms and grab stuff for us all."

"Cool. Get my phone charger and some clothes. And my phone's in my draw at the desk."

"You don't take your phone to class?"

"Why would I need it? I'm in class."

"Wait, so you're alright with her going back?" Sero leant forward.

"Duh." The others looked around at each other for a few moments.

"Just grab me some pjs and an outfit for tomorrow." Mina eventually asked, clearly extremely uncomfortable with the request. "The rest doesn't matter."

"The same for me." Sero said.

"My phone is in the common room, so don't worry about it. The windows are huge there, so there's more chance of you getting spotted." Kami sat up, holding my face in his warm hands. "Just clothes, okay? Be quick and be safe." He kissed both of my cheeks.

"Of course. I'll be back before you know it!"

"When you go between rooms, use your quirk!" Kirishima demanded. "Go into the bathrooms and wait to hear if anyone is in the rooms. Promise me you'll take every precaution!" I threw my arms around him.

"Of course I'll be careful. You're not getting rid of me that easily!" Kiri took a deep breath and nodded.

"My phone is in my bag. I threw it on my bed." He also kissed my cheek. Sero, a little shyly, followed suit. Mina jumped on me and peppered my face with as many smooches as she could before Katsuki pulled her off. We shared a tight hug.

"Come back to me. Or I'll kick your arse." He murmured into my hair.

"I wouldn't dream of leaving you behind." I smiled at him. It looked as though he wanted to say something else, but he just shook his head and held his hand out to the mirror hanging up on the wall. After taking a moment to steel myself, I placed my hand on the reflective surface and disappeared.

(A/N)

Early chapter because my college course is stressing me out and I needed something to take my mind off of it. There's a .5 chapter from Kat's POV next that I'm looking forward to posting. Will I post it tomorrow? Perhaps...
