A Game of Tag (I got tagged. I hope this is entertaining)

Quick A/N: Yes, I have been tagged by drakonsnake. I hope she doesn't mind that I've made an entire Twoshot out of this incident. I think I'm quite funny, but if this insults anyone, I'll remove it.
If you want to get to the actual tag without reading my Twoshot, just scroll to the bottom. It's there in very simple terms. Although, I would like it if you actually read the thing I put several hours of work into, just saying.
I don't know if the people I tag at the bottom are ok with being tagged, so just know that there is no pressure to complete the tag. It's just for fun!
Enjoy the slice of chaos from my brain. There's more where it came from!

"Ahhh!" Kat runs through the hallways of the containment building. Containment is a harsh way of putting it. The place is more of a spot for young, chaotic writers to get together and write. I say containment because we're a chaotic bunch who will definitely not decimate the planet if freed. The person running behind her holds a slip of paper in one hand and reaches out to tag her with the other.

"I'm going to get you, Kat!" Kit yells. A few seconds later, she caught up with Kat and tagged her. The two skid to a stop right outside of the room I'm working in. My name is Jade, or at least that's how I'm known in this place. My real name is a deeply kept secret that will never be revealed to anyone for no other reason than the fact that I can. If you do happen to figure it out or know me outside of this rad corner of the world, congratulations. Don't tell anyone else.

"You've been tagged, Kat!" I hear Kit exclaim. "You have to answer these questions and then go tag another person. Or three."

"Alright, fine." Kit and Kat go through the questions, and Kat answers each of them. Finally, they finish, leaving the hallway outside quiet.

Being tagged is a semi-dangerous thing. Usually, it results in charging around the building like maniacs, avoiding the dashing people, and trying not to run people over. I've never been tagged. I've watched it happen enough times that I'm sure it will be entertaining either way.

I shut my laptop, sticking it into my bag. The bag shrinks down and disappears into a pocket. We have this really cool technology that functions like a Minecraft inventory. It's a bag that will grow to roughly the size of a good backpack. The bag can hold a surprising amount of stuff and shrinks down to the size of a wallet. It's super helpful for storing my laptop and various bits of equipment for whatever sort of chaos we start.

I walk outside and, perceiving no one, I continue down the hall. I think I'll go do some roleplay or fanart. Maybe even, I shudder slightly, homework. A loud yell startled me as Kat jumped out from another doorway and pursued me down the hall. I spin on my heel and start sprinting the opposite way.

"Azael!!!" I scream, passing the admin in the hall. "Help! Kat's trying to get me!!!"

"I'm afraid you're on your own," Azael replies with a smirk.

"Noooo," I scream, doubling my pace. The admin watches me yeet away from my pursuer. Azael always supports the chaos. Despite being an admin, she is one of the most chaotic in the building. Remember the point about everyone being so chaotic we might decimate the world if released? Yeah, we are all physical embodiments of the word chaos.

The chase continued along several hallways until some foot traffic intervened. Eevee looked up in surprise as the two of us rounded the corner. I dodge him, and he moves against the wall. Evo pokes her head out of a doorway to yell encouragement. I skid around a potted plant, but the extra step I had to take allowed Kat to catch up with me. She tackles me from behind. My first time being tagged, and I think I did decently well. Kat gets up and extends a hand to help me stand. We stand in silence, panting.

Cheers erupt from the group of people around us. Eevee looks slightly annoyed that we almost ran him over, and Evo looks like she could watch that a thousand times and never get bored. Azael gives me an encouraging thumbs-up, and I salute her.

Kat hands me the sheet of paper, well worn with the exchange of many owners. "You gotta answer each of these questions. Have fun!"

"Wait!" I yell. "Does it matter how I do this? Do I have to just make a list with the questions and be boring, or can I spice it up a little bit?"

"I say you should spice it up," Kat says before running off to tag her next victim.

I read over the list as I walk back to my room. As my steps guide me back with muscle memory, I examine the doors that pop up in my mind as I take a mental journey. The light purple doors against a darker purple backdrop have small pictures done in green ink. I reach my room and retrieve my laptop to start a new section of my Twoshots book. I leave the title blank for now. I'll come up with something later.

Question one: how did I start watching Hermitcraft? I walk down the road to a door with the Minecraft logo, the letters HC-7, the YouTube symbol, and some sheep. Opening the door, I allow the memory to flow.

It was a good day until I started my daily round of Drivers ED. For some reason, they thought it was necessary to talk about all of the bad things that could happen to you while driving in the first few hours. After sitting there for a while, it became very overwhelming for me. Luckily, I was doing the self-paced program, which allowed me to pause when I needed to. I opened a new tab, pulling up YouTube.

One of the first videos to pop up was from this guy, Grian. The video was titled "Build Battle," or something like that. The memory is the least clear around the words. I remember liking the content and searching for more by the same guy. Pretty soon, whenever the Driver's ED got too much, I would go watch Build Battle.

One day, I got a new Grian video, "Hermitcraft 7: Episode 47 - RELEASE THE SHEEP." It intrigued me enough that I clicked on it immediately. No regrets. I've been an attentive fan of Hermitcraft ever since, eventually adding Mumbo, Iskall, and Scar to the list.

I smile as the memory fades. I quickly capture it into writing before moving on. What is my favorite fandom besides Hermitcraft? I honestly can't think of one. I enjoy Last Life and 3rd Life, and I also like the 100 hours hardcore series. I write down my thoughts.

Third question: do I watch any Minecraft YouTube that doesn't involve the hermits? A quick examination of my YouTube watch history answers that. I have watched several animation studios, such as Black Plasma Studios and Alan Becker. Both are pretty funny.

Four: which of my books is my favorite? Uh, I'm going to skip that one.

Five: how did I discover Hermittpad? This memory is more recent. My gaze travels along with the lavender doors, searching for the correct pattern of green ink. I stop at one that seems right and go in. Ah, yes, Thanksgiving break of 2021.

I've been really bored throughout this vacation. Hermitcraft has been a little slow lately, so I'm looking for more things in the fandom. I found a link that goes to Wattpad labeled Hermitcraft Fanfiction. After googling what fanfiction was, I clicked the link and began reading. The first fiction I read was Hunted.

Later, the week before finals, I was reading Oneshots by Ariyaquila. She said a thing about a Hermittpad Discord. I don't use Discord that much, but the chaos seemed fun. I went to the Hermittpad Recap page and found the Linktree. After joining the server, I started writing fanfiction instead of only reading it. Good times.

Sweet memories, those. The Hermittpad Server really was a great thing since it manifested like this. I've had untold bounds of fun with the people here.

Six: what inspired my username? Funny story. I thought I was being very punny when I came up with ButterFlies. JadedSun is similar to PearlescentMoon, as you may have noticed. Personally, I like Jade better than being called Butter. It is a funny name.

Seven: favorite pride flag. I sigh as I read the question. It's always hard for me to answer questions surrounding pride. I'm caught between a rock and a hard place, you could say. The only valid answer I can give is that I don't have a favorite.

Eight: favorite writer or fan-artist in the community. The entire community is amazing. Enough said. Why must I pick a favorite?

Finally, the ninth question: my favorite headcanon. I tilt back in my chair, pondering the query. Honestly, I like the Watchers a ton. The amount of magic they can bring into a story is pretty cool.

The last question simply tells me to tag some more people. I grab some paper and write the instructions on it. I lean back in my chair as I read over what I've written.

"You're going to fall over if you tilt back that far." Azael's voice cuts through my editing mindset. She startles me so much that the chair tips over backward, and I land on the floor. She laughs at me and, after a moment of hesitation, I join in. "See what I mean?" I nod, embarrassed, and pick myself up off the ground.

"I was just wrapping up my Twoshot and Tag thing," I mentioned. "I'll post it tonight when I've finished editing."

Azael nods. "Do I have your permission to recap you?"

"I'm not sure why you need my permission," I laugh. "You know you can write about my antics any time."

"Thanks for that," Azael says, walking out.

I wrap up my writing, cleaning up the rough edges. I make sure that there are no obvious grammatical errors before copying it over to the Wattpad website. I make sure that it is formatted correctly with the word count at the bottom. I think of a witty title and slap it on the top. Perfect.

I write a quick author's note before hitting the publish button. I shut the laptop and put it away. Gathering the pieces of paper I wrote the instructions on, I walk out the door. Time to chase some people down and give them a tag. This is going to be even better.

Time for straightforward answers.

1) How did you start watching Hermitcraft? I got a Minecraft Build Battle video recommended to me on YouTube (I believe it was Grian versus Scar) and liked the humor that Grian and Scar presented. I didn't start watching Hermitcraft then because I didn't want to get involved in watching a series. I watched Build Battle for a while, but then Grian released "Hermitcraft 7, episode 47: Release the Sheep!" I was curious and watched it, and I've been an avid fan of Hermitcraft ever since.

2) What's your favorite fandom besides Hermitcraft? I don't have another fandom that I participate in. Honestly, I would say I subscribe to the fandom of chaos if that counts. I would also say 3rd/Last Life, as well as the 100 hours series that Grian, Joel, and Scar are doing.

3) Do you watch any MCYTs that don't involve hermits? Not really. I've watched some speed runs and fun fact videos, but they're not my type. However, I do watch animations. My favorite is Animation vs. Minecraft by Alan Becker. It's funny, and I highly recommend it.

4) Which of my books is my favorite, and why? I only have a few works: my Twoshots, Acrylic Waves, and the famous hiatus, Trial of the Half Masks (OC). I think Acrylic Waves is my favorite to write with the amount of chaos and craziness I can give the characters.

5) How did I discover Hermittpad? One boring day in November during Thanksgiving break, I wanted to read some Hermitcraft fanfiction because I had just found out that was a thing. Fast-forward to Christmas break, I was reading Ariyaquila's Oneshots, and she said something about the Discord. I joined that, and it's the third server I've ever joined (and the third server I'm in, I don't have any others). Now, I actively write fanfiction and embrace chaos on the Discord.

6) What was the inspiration for my username? ButterFlies77 comes from when I was making my Minecraft account. I wanted it to be punny and have something to do with butterflies. I'm funny, I know. JadedSun was inspired by PearlescentMoon because I really like her builds. I believe I like JadedSun better, so please call me Jade. My real name will never be revealed unless you guys can think of superstar reasons.

7) Which pride flag is my favorite? I don't affiliate myself with pride. I don't support it, nor do I discriminate against it. I like to experiment with different things to increase my understanding of other people, but I doubt any of my different pronouns will stay for very long. How about my favorite colors instead? Green and purple, thanks for asking.

8) My favorite writer/fanartist on Hermittpad? I like all of the people in the community. They're all super nice and make me feel welcome. I'd say Ariyaquila is my favorite writer, although she quit the fandom (or maybe she's secretly watching, you never know). Honestly, though, I love you all. Thank you for making me a part of the chaos.

9) Favorite Hermitcraft headcanon? Probably Grian as a Watcher. I just love magic. I don't really like it when all the Watchers are portrayed as evil, so I'm trying to find a way to still have them as antagonists while not entirely evil. I think I've got something going, so bear with me. It will involve heavy morality content, I think.

10) Tag 5 people (or however many you want <3)
The_Smiling_Paradoxhelicopter_stanHermitcraft_QueenEvolvedGlitch
You all don't have to do the tag if you don't want to. Have fun doing whatever you're going to be doing with this.

That's all from this derp. Signing off for now,
Jade

In real life friends, if you find this, don't bonk me for being so cringy and please don't share my information. I know how to find you...
