"Why don't I start by taking you back home?"
Alejandro smirked and I shook my head. "Alejandro, as I said, I'm not ready to go back to New York," I said.
"Then I'll take you home to your apartment." He said, and I nodded.
Was this real? He was being kind to me?
He started to drive as I looked outside the window,
As I already stated, I am willing to give him a chance. That doesn't imply we're in a relationship.

"Bye," I said as I got out of the car.
"Good night," he says, and I nod.
I walked into my apartment, dumbfounded.
I shouldn't have given him a chance... what if this is just a lie? Or maybe it's a good thing? Why am I so stupid?
Many questions flow inside my head.
I sighed and went to my room and collapsed myself into the bed.
Oh Lord, please guide me.

"Well, that's all ma'am. Your daughter is in great shape," I said and shook her hand.
"Thank you, doctor," she said, and I nodded and quickly kneeled to the little girl's height.
"Can you make me a promise, buddy?" I asked, looking at her as I held her little hands.
She nodded and I smiled. "Take care of your health, okay?" I said, and she nodded and gave me the biggest hug.
"I promise." She stated this, and I chuckled and pinched her cheek.
"Good girl," I said, and I stood up.
"Why don't you wave goodbye to doctor Camila, Annie Babe?"Her ma'am said and she smiled and waved farewell.
They exited my office and closed the door. I sighed and smiled at myself.
"When am I going to have a child of my own?" I asked myself and placed my arms around my waist, hugging myself.
Suddenly, someone knocked on my door. "Come in," I said, taking a seat at my desk.
When the door opened, I saw Valentino. What did he want?
"Camila!" He said, and I stood up, and suddenly he hugged me.
"Valentino, what do you want? Maybe Alejandro will see us. " I said and pulled away.
"Camila, I found this beautiful restaurant downtown. and I wanted to ask you on a date?" He said and smirked, and I looked at him confused.
"Valentino, you know what situation we're in right now," I say, crossing my arms.
"Just come with me. I promise it will be great." I sigh.
"Fine," I said as I looked at my watch.
"Wait for me outside?" I said, and he nodded.
I guess I'll go. It's been stressful these days, so I hope this little trip wl be worth it. I thought to myself and sighed and took off my coat and took my bag.
I walked out of my office and saw Valentino talking to someone on the phone.
I approached him and he looked at me and hung up his phone.
"Let's go?" He asked and I nodded. He took my hand and walked me outside and into his car.
Wow, today was such a beautiful sunny day; I'm pleased I dressed appropriately for the occasion.
These past few days have been crazy; Alejandro, Valentino, work, and my personal life are all still causing me difficulties, and when you add overthinking to the mix, my anxiety has become even more unpredictable. When am I going to be satisfied with my life?
Alejandro's P.O.V
*Knock knock*
I knocked on my office door, suddenly disturbing my thoughts.
"Come in," I said, massaging my temples.
"The flowers you requested, Mr. Huxley, have come," Dante remarked, and I nodded.
"Good, Dante, get the car ready for me and cancel all of my meetings for a while," I said, and he nodded and left my office.
After a week of trying to get Camila, she finally gave me a chance, and as I said, I'm never going to lose her; all I have to do now is get Valentino away from her, because who knows what that jerk would do?
I'm angry just thinking about his name; I'm hoping Camila would give us an opportunity.
I groaned, straightened my suit, grabbed my phone and sunglasses, and marched out of my office.
"Sir, Mr. Russo does not wish to cancel the dinner meeting for tonight, Mr. Huxley," Carson stated, and I groaned and looked at my watch.
"If he genuinely wants to do business with my large company, tell him to work around my agenda," I said as I entered the car, slamming the door.

"Mr. Huxley, we have arrived." I took the flowers and stepped out of the car. I, Dante, and Carson walked inside. The nurses greeted me and I just nodded.
I went straight to her clinic with a smile on my face. I would love to see her face after a tiring day.
When I walked inside, she wasn't there. I looked at her desk and saw she had left her schedule for the day. Well, maybe she's at her apartment.
I sighed and suddenly Dante approached me. "I'm sorry to be the one informing you this Mr. Huxley but, the guard said that Mrs. Huxley left with-" before he could finish, I cut him off.
"Valentino," I said and groaned in frustration.
"Where did they go?" I asked and took out my phone to call Camila.
"They don't know." He said and I signed and pressed the call button.
Her phone kept ringing but no one would answer. Did her phone die? Did she not answer me on purpose? Did she leave it somewhere or maybe she lost it?
"Find her location now for me, Dante," I said to myself and sighed.
I strode back outside and quickly sat down inside the car.
If Valentino ever steals Camila away from me, I swear that he will get what he deserves. I said and snorted in frustration.
"Sir, her phone is off," Carson said, and I looked at him and glared.
"Does it look like I care?! Didn't I tell you to find her location? Now give me her location!" I say and cursed at him and he nodded and quickly went back to his laptop while Dante started to drive.
