I took my time walking back home. That was the last place I wanted to be right now, but considering I didn't know my way around the island yet, home was the only place I was somewhat comfortable being at.

As I was walking down a long road, I heard a dirt bike come up from behind me. I stepped off the side of the road to let it pass, but it slowed down once it got to me. I looked over and saw a red dirt bike, and once the guy took his helmet off, I saw the dirty-blond haired guy from Barry's.

"Are you following me now?" I asked him, kind of weirded out about the fact that he was checking me out earlier and now he was going in the same direction I was. It had been about fifteen minutes since I left Barry's so I was wondering how he caught up to me.

"Headed home." He told me, a smile on his lips. "Need a ride?"

"No thank you," I shook my head. "I'd rather swim through the marsh at night than get a ride home with a random stranger on the back of a bike."

"Ouch," He chuckled as he now looked around. "You'd be safer with me than walking alone on these streets." He told me as he held out the helmet. "C'mon."

I pursed my lips into a thin line, already regretting my decision for the second time today. Though I didn't even know this guy, I knew that he was right. I'd be safer with him on a ten minute ride home than walking by myself for another half hour.

"Fine." I scoffed as I took the helmet from him and got on his bike behind him.

"Jeez, a thank you would be nice." He chuckled as he turned his head to look at me putting on the black helmet.

"You'll get a thank you when you get me home safely." I told him.

He kicked his bike back on and sped down the road. I couldn't help but hold onto him for dear life. I wrapped my arms around his body and closed my eyes, telling myself that this would be over soon enough.

Though as I thought about it, I didn't know how soon it actually would be over since I never told him where I lived, but that was probably for the better. Wherever we ended up, I could just walk from there. I didn't mind.

As he continued to weave in and out of the streets of the Outer Banks, I couldn't help but think to myself how insane I was for getting on the back of this guys bike. I didn't even know his name.

I opened my eyes and looked over his shoulder to see where we were, and as I did, he swerved around an old Volkswagen van, before flipping it off and cursing them out. I didn't know why he did that because he was in the wrong, but I wasn't going to question it as long as he got me to our destination safely.

I closed my eyes again, wrapping my arms tighter around him. I didn't know where he was going or how far away we were, but I was praying we'd come to a stop soon.

And as if he read my mind, he began to slow down and I opened my eyes, noticing we were on Figure Eight. I saw him turn onto my street, before slowing down in front of my house. How the hell did this guy know where I lived?

"It's this one, right?" He asked me.

"How would you know where I lived?" I questioned him. I wasn't going to tell him whether it was my house or not.

"It's a small island." He chuckled, looking back at me since I was still on his bike. "My step-mom sold this house to your family." He told me.

"Your step-mom is Rose Cameron?" I asked him, surprised at his answer and he nodded in response. What were the odds of that?

I took the helmet off and handed it to him in front of me before hopping off the back of the bike.

"Unfortunately." He answered as he looked down at his helmet. "You ever rode one before?" He asked me as he now got off of the bike. I shook my head as I tried to fix my hair from the helmet messing it up. "I can tell." He chuckled.

I sent him a fake smile before I looked over at my house. "Uh, thanks." I nodded towards him since he did get me back safely.

He nodded as he looked down, pressing his tongue to the inside of his cheek. I couldn't help but stand there and watch him. He was so unbelievably attractive.

"Rafe." He now looked back up at me after a minute of silence between the two of us.

"Excuse me?" I questioned, not having any idea what he just said to me.

"Rafe. My name's Rafe." He repeated.

"Ah," I nodded. Rafe was a name I had never heard before, so I didn't understand it when he first said it to me. "Scar." I told him.

"Scar?" He questioned, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Scar." I nodded. "My name's Scar."

"Ah," Rafe now chuckled. "Like battle scar?" He joked and I rolled my eyes.

"Like Scarlett, you idiot." I tried to scoff, but I couldn't help but let a smile creep on my face. "But if you ever call me Scarlett I will literally end your life." I threatened. I hated being called Scarlett.

"Jeez," He smirked. He looked down again, before looking back up at me. "It's nice to meet you, Scar."

"You too, Rafe."

We studied each other for another minute, and I so badly wanted to know what he was thinking. I wanted to go inside now, mainly because this was awkward and neither of us knew what to say, but also because something about him was making my body tingle in places it shouldn't be tingling in a moment like this.

I figured it was better to head inside now, so I didn't get myself into any more trouble with this guy. "Well, I-"

"Barry's shit's good." He told me at the same time as I tried to tell him I was gonna go inside my house.

"So I've heard." I nodded. He was the second person to tell me that, so this shit better hit different.

"I-I know it's not my business," He started and I cocked an eyebrow, wondering what he was about to say. "B-But I know you had mentioned you're tight on money."

"Yeah, and?" I questioned. "I'm not a kook like you, I can't just ask daddy for some money for coke." I nearly spat at him. He was such a dick for mentioning that.

"Okay, but what if I could get you some, a-and the payment isn't money." He proposed as he took a step closer to me. I couldn't bring myself to step back, though.

"What are you talking about?"

He looked around before taking another step towards me. "I can get you some yayo, a-and all you have to do is return some favors for me." He said softly, and I still couldn't get myself to understand what the fuck he was talking about.

"What kind of favors?" I crossed my arms over my chest.

He licked his lips, looking hesitant about what ever he was about to say. "Guys have needs- I have needs, a-and sometimes I can't satisfy those needs myself." He whispered now and the light bulb finally went off in my brain.

"You want me to fuck you for coke?" I elaborated.

"Shh, shh," He whispered as he looked around. "Don't say it like that."

"That's exactly what you're implying though." I smirked, loving at how he seemed embarrassed to be talking about this. "No," I laughed. "I'm not fucking anybody for a stupid drug. I-I'm not that desperate. I'd rather not do it at all." I told him.

"C'mon," He begged, now only standing inches from me. His tall figure towered over me and I looked up at him. "Can you at least think about it?" He asked me.

I bit my lip out of nervousness, trying to tell myself this was a bad idea. If we were being honest, I'd fuck this man for nothing. But if I fucked him and he gave me coke? Shit, I'd certainly be a disappointment to my father, but what else was new.

"I'll think about it." I said quietly after a minute, and I saw a smile spread across his lips. "I'm outta here. Thanks for the ride." I said now starting to walk backwards.

"See ya later, Scar."

I headed to the front door, shaking my head to myself. I didn't know what I'd be walking into when I went inside, but I knew I'd be getting shit from my dad.
