Y/n's POV
Luca, Alberto, and I finally made it to the area where I was leading them to so that no one could see us get out of the water. Once I was out of the water, I shake all the water off of me, turning into my human form.
"Look, I was just trying to show you how to do it right," Alberto tells Luca as they both get out of the water.
"You don't know how to do it right!" Luca tells Alberto as he then shakes the water off of him.
"I got us down the hill, didn't I?" Alberto then asks.
"You crashed! Into the sea!" Luca yells to Alberto.
"It's fine," Alberto tries to reassure Luca as he shakes the water off of him.
"Nothing's fine! My parents just saw me!" Luca then said, making me gasp.
I had a feeling this was going to happen. Now if they get to us, they'll send me and Luca into the deep. I did not like this.
"Luca, you're parents aren't here," Alberto tells Luca.
"You don't know what you're talking about!" Luca tells Alberto.
"Look, this town is making you crazy. We just need to win that Vespa and get outta here," Alberto says as he starts to lead me and Luca back into the town, but Luca and I stop. I was deep in my thoughts while Luca spoke.
"It's not gonna be any different. I don't wanna..." Luca starts to say, but then stops and takes a deep breath. "I wanna go to school."
I then step forward and speak out my own opinion.
"I kinda want to go, too," I say, making Alberto look at me with wide, and kind of hurt, eyes.
"That again? We can't go to school," Alberto told us.
"You're just afraid you can't do it," Luca tells Alberto as he points to him, making Alberto scoff.
"I'm not afraid. You're the one who gets afraid," Alberto tells Luca as he shoves him back.
"Shut up!" Luca then yells as he shoves him back.
Now things were starting to get out of hand. They were already fighting, and what am I doing? Just standing here and not doing anything to help.
There then came to a point when Alberto pins Luca to the ground.
"What happens when she sees you? When anyone sees you?" Alberto then asks Luca.
"Get off me!" Luca tells Alberto.
"Guys, cut it out! This isn't--" I started to say as I grab onto Alberto arms, trying to pry it off of Luca, but was then cut off when Alberto lifts his arm up to punch Luca, resulting in it hitting my nose instead.
I yell out in pain and stumble back as I put my hands over my nose. This catches Luca's and Alberto's attention. Now I'm on the ground as I then feel something dripping down my nose. I take my hand away from my nose and see something red on my hand.
My eyes widen at the sight of blood. Luca, being worried for me, gets out of Alberto's grasp and runs over to me.
"Y/n, you okay?" He asks me as he helps me up.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I tell Luca, even though I know I'm not fine. I then look at Alberto and see him looking very worried for me.
"Y/n, I'm sorry. I didn't--"
"You've done enough, Alberto," Luca tells him before he could finish as he puts an arm around me, protectively.
All of a sudden, I hear a familiar voice call out to us.
"You're alive!" I hear Giulia's voice call out to us. She then runs over to us as she gives us a hug, with me still holding onto my nose. She then looks at Alberto. "Hey! You're never allowed on my bike again. Stick to foo, big guy," She then tells Alberto as she ruffles his hair, only for him to growl at her.
This makes Giulia confused at his sudden anger.
"Uh, what's going on?" Giulia asks Luca and I.
"Nothing. Let's just get back to training," Alberto says, but Luca then speaks afterwards.
"Actually, we have something to ask you. We were wondering if we could come with you to your school?" He asked Giulia.
She then gets a shocked look.
"Santo pecorino! That's the best idea ever! Yes! Of course!" Giulia tells Luca, sounding very excited.
I then watch with a smile, while still covering my nose with my hand, as Luca shakes Giulia's hand and says the one Italian greeting that Alberto taught us.
Speaking of Alberto, I could tell that he didn't like that idea. I look over at him and see him with a frown, but he then looks at Giulia.
"Uh, Giulia, your school, does it take all kinds of people? I mean, what if some of them were not human?" Alberto asks Giulia.
I frown at this. He's planning something.
"Alberto..." Luca tells him in a warning way.
"What if some were, oh, I don't know, sea monsters?" Alberto then asks as he stands in front of Giulia.
"Sea monsters?" Giulia questions.
"I doubt your schools would even accept sea monsters, right?" Alberto then asks.
Luca then stands in between Giulia and Alberto before he could say anything else as he laughs nervously.
"Ah, that's a weird joke, Alberto," Luca tells him, some anger being heard in his voice towards the end.
"Yeah, I know, it's kinda hard to imagine. So, let me just show you!" Alberto then says. My eyes widen as I watch him dive into the water.
"No!" I yell out with my hand still above my nose as Luca gasps at the sight of him jumping into the water.
Giulia then lets out a sigh as she then goes towards Alberto in the water Luca tries to tell her to not go to him, but it was already to late.
"Come on. We don't have time to goof around," Giulia tells Alberto as she grabs onto his arm. But once she noticed that his arm had scales, she freaks out and backs up towards me and Luca.
We then watch as Alberto stands back up, revealing his full-on sea monster form to Giulia.
"Help! Don't hurt us!" Giulia yells as she stands back up and comes towards me and Luca. Alberto then speaks, mostly to me and Luca
"See? I knew this would--"
"Sea monster!" Luca cuts him off as he points to him. Alberto's expression then changes into a hurt one as my eyes widen after hearing what Luca just said.
"Luca?" Alberto questions as he looks to him. He then looks at me, hoping that I don't see him as a monster.
The only thing I do is look down with my hand still over my nose. It stopped bleeding, but it still kind of hurt. I know it wasn't his fault, but Alberto seemed to change once we came here. And I didn't like it.
"Stay back!" Giulia tells Alberto as she points a stick in his direction.
"Sea monster! There it is!" I then heard an very annoying voice yell out in the distance. I look to the side and see Ercole, Guido, and Ciccio standing on rocks with harpoons.
I then look back at Alberto with a worried look. He looks at me one last time before he starts to walk back into the water with a very betrayed look on his face.
"Ragazzi, now!" Ercole then yells as he and his goons throw the harpoons towards Alberto.
"No!" I yell as I put my hand down, only revealing a blood stained trail going down my nose.
Good thing that the harpoons missed him, but he still turned back around and gave me one last look, before he disappears into the water.
"Ah, idioti, you let it get away!" Ercole yells to Luca as I look away from him. "To the boat! We're gonna kill a sea monster!" He then yells as he then runs off with his goons following behind him.
It's not just because I didn't want to see him, but it's also because I didn't want him to see my blood stained nose. I didn't want him to think that Alberto hurt me in his sea monster form.
Now the only ones who were still here were Luca, Giulia, and me. Now what's going to happen without Alberto?
