"Narumiya I'm not interested," You groan, pulling your arm away from Narumiya
"But it's more fun if you're there!"
"It's not fun for me!" You glare at him and look behind to see his teammates, "Care to help?"
"Nah, this is between you couples." Carlos shakes his head and smiles at the two of you, "Why don't you just agree?"
"Cause," You start, already feeling exasperated, "I have plans already!"
"Oh, you do? Can I come?" Narumiya looks at you excitedly
"No, Narumiya." You sigh, "Now can we please stop? Everybody's staring at us,"

"So basically that's what happened," You groan, finishing retelling the story to your boyfriend, "You won't even believe the comments from everybody! They think me and Narumiya are dating? Did you hear that Kazu? They said me and Narumiya are meant to be!" You whine at your boyfriend
Miyuki laughs from your other side, "That would have been a sight to see." He snickers as you glare at him
"Can't you be more serious about this?" You pout, "You know that's not the only thing they say! They keep on calling me a bitch and other freaking names 'cause they keep on believing I'm into him!"
Miyuki stops laughing and turns serious, he knew bullying isn't a laughing manner, especially if his girlfriend was the one receiving it
"Do you want me to talk to Mei?" He asks while you shake your head
"No...who knows how that guy would react to this," You motion for the two of you, "I don't even know where the idea of us going out came from," You sigh, "Cause I'm the daughter of their coach and he's the ace? What kind of shoujo manga is this?" You huff
'Well I can't say our situation right now isn't book material,' You wince. You, the daughter of coach Kunimoto, are dating Miyuki Kazuya, The captain of Seido which is Inashiro's rival team, and Narumiya, who is Inashiro's ace, is interested in you
If this was some kind of classical book, your father would have approved of Narumiya and forced you and Miyuki apart and by the climax, Miyuki and Narumiya would have dueled to see who was fit for you
You grimace as you imagined them fighting through baseball, god you hope that never happens
You feel someone pat your head, you look across at Miyuki who chuckles, "You look really deep in thought, don't bother tiring yourself over this matter," He says
"But we're the people in trouble in this matter," You point out
"Hey, if anything happens I got your back alright?" He says reassuringly, "So don't tire that pretty little head of yours, alright~" He grins
"Since when did you become so good at comforting and flirting? The first time I met you you were a ball of both asshole and awkwardness," You tease him
"I learned my ways upon getting in a relationship with someone who's both a worrywart and dense," He replies
"I am not," You deny
"Also stubborn," He adds as you kick his feet from under the table
"Don't you have anything good to say about me?" You huff
"But those are good!" Miyuki grins, "That's the reason I like you, you know~"
You continue to kick his feet from under the table, "Only those?" You challenge
"Of course not~" He replies, "I like everything about you," He says honestly, looking at your eyes as you feel yourself heat up
"Even when you drool in your sleep," He adds as you kick him from under the table again

Narumiya keeps on checking his phone, you haven't replied to his message....it wasn't like you were fast at replying
"Still nothing?" Carlos asks, taking a drink from his soda
"Nope," Narumiya replies
"Are you and (First name) really dating?" Shirakawa asks, taking one of his earphones off
"Yes!" Narumiya replies, "In the future," He adds with less enthusiasm, "She's just cold but just so you wait and she'll finally accept me as her boyfriend!"
Narumiya couldn't remember how he fell for you, was it your knowledge of baseball? Your stubbornness? Or how you just seem to be always full of surprises? But he just found himself wanting you for himself
"Oh...I don't think that's happening anytime soon," Carlos winces as he shows a photo to Narumiya
"E..eh?!"
"Isn't that (First name) and Miyuki?" Shirakawa asks, also looking at the photo on his own phone
"That can't be!" He steals the phone from Carlos' grip and looked at the post

Then the photo of you and Miyuki laughing at a cafe, looking comfortable with each other
Narumiya continues to scroll through the comments and winces upon reading what was written there
'So she wasn't content with just a pitcher and now she wants a catcher? What's next, the first baseman?'
'Omg poor Narumiya-kun! At least now he can see her true colors!'
'I always knew she was a slut!'
'Imagine making the great ace run after you just for you to date some catcher'
As he scrolls, he feels both angry and worried; angry that everybody keeps on saying things about you which aren't even close to being true, and worried because he didn't know how you would react to reading all of these
"This is bad," Carlos mutters, "Just thinking about what's coming for her tomorrow makes me feel bad for her,"
Narumiya remains silent, it was partially his fault for not denying anything when the student body started the rumor that you two were dating but he always thought that maybe the two of you would end up together, but he guesses, it was time to wake up to the cold harsh truth that you really didn't have any sort of interest in him

The next day you walk to school with dignity, you receive a lot of glares from other students, not only that but people were whispering behind your back and even alluding of your supposed 'sluttiness'
You roll your eyes, 'Not one can even tell me directly, why should I care about these cowards?' You huff, throwing away the notes containing hurtful words in your locker
'But holy crap, this is going to be a long day,' You think, already feeling tired even though the day just started
It was worse than what you anticipated, by the time you enter your room there were so many things written on your desk then when you look at the board, the words '(FIRST NAME) IS A CHEATER' was written with a bunch of other names surrounding it
"Holy shit fangirls are scary," You whistle lowly, sitting by your chair, completely disregarding the whispers around you
Your phone dings indicating you received a message
From: Asshole Catcher
To: (First name)
Are you okay? I heard what happened
From: (First name)
To: Asshole Catcher
Don't worry! I'm good, though I don't know when I'll start losing patience with everyone

Alright...if anything happens, tell me
You sigh and put your phone back in your pocket, hearing a guy making a sexual joke about you and how you should try out Basketball players next
you often dread school but now you're starting to hate it more and more

"There she is!" A shrill voice exclaims as you turn around to see a bunch of girls running towards you
"Get her!"
"What the—" You watch as they surround you, glaring at you as if you were some kind of gum in their shoe
"Hey, you bitch! How could you cheat on Narumiya-kun?"
"Cheat...? When did I ever say I was going out with Narumiya?" You huff, patience slowly thinning out, "Besides! What's it to you? Don't you have anything better to do with your life?"
"Stop making excuses—you!" She makes a move that she was about to hit you as the others cheer her on
"God these girls really are scary," You sigh
"What's happening here," Narumiya's voice rings through the halls, walking towards you like some sort of king
"We're going to teach her a lesson!" A girl announces
"For what?" Narumiya asks, his usual playful grin gone as he glares at each of them
"For cheating on you..." She replies in a small voice
"She didn't cheat on me!" Narumiya tells them off, grabbing your wrists and pulling you away from the scene
"So why did you pull me here?" You cross your arms and frown at Narumiya, "I expected you to start hating me."
"Hate you?" He gives you a look, "I could never hate (First name)-chan," He announces
"Narumiya..." You sigh, eyes softening at the ace pitcher
"Yeah yeah, you're dating Kazuya and you really like him." He brushes it off, "I know," He nods
"So...you don't mind?" You ask him
"I do," He replies honestly, "But if you really like him then I can't do anything," He shrugs, "I'm hurt but I also don't like what's happening with you right now, (First name)-chan,"
"Do I look like I'm enjoying it?" You ask, not able to hold back your sarcasm
"Then what are you gonna do about it?" He asks, completely disregarding your tone

"Kazuya!" You yell, jumping on Miyuki who caught you with a huff, "admission is over and now I'm finally here!" You cheer
Long story short, after Narumiya asked you that, you started to remember how you wanted to join Miyuki in Seido, you weren't sure if that was what Narumiya wanted but you talked to your father about it
The talk was long, your father is very strict, so you had to convince him for a long time even before he could allow it, the thing that worked was you saying that there's a chance that the bullying in Inashiro would get worse. Surprisingly, he actually let you go to Seido after that
"So that's what happened," You say, finishing retelling the story to Kuramochi
"Hyaha that's a lot," He laughs, while you joke around with the other second years, Miyuki looks at something on his phone and lets out a snicker
"So now I have a rival huh?" He says in amusement as you look at him curiously
"Here," He shows you the message Narumiya left for him
From: Mei
To: Kazuya
Ka-zu-ya! Hehe just cause (First name)-chan went there doesn't mean you win! I'll make sure you pay on the field!
Maybe she'll change her mind and choose me if we win :p
You look at the message as Kuramochi laughs in the background
As you finish reading the message, you could only think of one thing
'Oh no.'
