"Can you stop staring at your crush for like a few minutes and help us out here?" Fang calls out to his dino hat wearing friend with an obvious frown on his face, a hint of irritation evident in his voice as he continued. "We get it, okay? you like her and all, now come here and help us with these logs for the campfire tonight!"
Snapping out of his heart fluttering daydreams, Boboiboy scurries over to where Fang stood and helped him carry some of the logs. "Sorry about that.." Boboiboy said with a sigh, a hint of blush spread across his cheeks, embarrassed that he was caught in the act of staring at you yet again.
If Boboiboy were to be honest, everytime you were in his peripheral vision, his eyes would and will be drawn to you in an instant. It didn't matter if he was busy talking to someone or doing something, his gaze just had to be glued to you if ever presented the chance.
Yep, he's definitely a simp at this point.

"You know, sometimes i wonder why Nyle is the Student Council Vice-President." Such comment was necessary when the aforementioned fella was busy snapping selfies of himself instead of helping out the rest of the students with setting up activities for the night.
Nyle tore his gaze from his phone, speaking in a matter-of-fact way about the predicament he found himself in. "Yeah, and i wonder what would happen if i were to tell the president how you insisted on pocketing the rest of the Chocolates we had last night."
"Touché."
"Heh." Nyle smirks in triumph at this, before he looks around for a moment, his gaze landing near the tents, watching as Boboiboy and Fang carried some logs for the campfire. The lad let out a hum at this, his lomg legs making their way towards you. "Hey pres, hey, hey, hey, hey-" he starts poking your shoulder to catch your attention.
You glare at him in response, swatting his hand away with a sigh. "What?"
"We're running out of food supplies." Nyle said all of a sudden. You paused at this, before your glare hardened at his words.
You were holding yourself back from snapping at him, "And you just decided to inform me of it now?"
"...i forgot, hehehe."
That made things even worse. And now you wonder what else he had forgotten to tell you. You took a deep breath before you spoke. "We will have to gather food on our own now, but it will prove to be just a tad risky since the sun is already setting."
"And we can't just risk putting the students' safety at risk." Nyle adds, running a hand through his messy locks, before continuing, "I mean, we could just let them eat smores again-"
You cut him off, "I thought you told me that we aren't able to make them again because we ran out of chocolate?"
Oh.
The student council vice-president was quick to nod at this, letting out a strained chuckle. He was definitely sweating bullets. "Ah.. yes, we did run out of chocolate, hehe.. my bad, i forgot about that." You narrow your eyes at this, but chose to just drop it off.
You stay silent for a moment, going through the different plans you could execute for this problem your ever so reliant vice-president presented. And when you finally came to a conclusion, you look up to Nyle.
"I think it would be best if we end the camping trip today. We have an hour or so to contact the school's bus to come pick us up."
But before any response could come out of Nyle, a new voice spoke up. The two were quick to snap their gaze towards the directon of the voice, it was from Boboiboy.
"Everyone's looking forward to all the activities for tonight," He said softly. Upon overhearing their discussion, he couldn't help but speak up. "I am also looking forward to it.." Boboiboy knew that speaking up against these two leaders was like going up against them in a fight. They had more authority, after all.
"Then how do you propose we handle our lack of food supplies?" you inquired, awaiting for his answer with a bit of anticipation. From another's perspective, it almost looks like you were taunting him. But boboiboy knew that wasn't the case, you just want him to elaborate his words further.
He was finally starting to get to know you in a deeper level, even if it was just through this.
Boboiboy thought for a moment, "I volunteer to gather what nature has to offer. And I'm sure Gopal, Ying, Yaya, and Fang wouldn't mind helping me out."
Your interest was piqued by his answer, causing you to inquire some more. "Are you an expert in scavenging for food in the forest or something of the sort perhaps?" He slowly shook his head at this, feeling a small boost of confidence surge through him at this very moment.
"I am no expert, but my friends and I go out here to camp a few times already, so we're pretty familiar with the terrain. I can assure that we won't come back empty handed."
"Well then-" Nyle had cut you off, the lad was quick to wrap an arm around Boboiboy's shoulder, grinning like kid in a candy store. "Now that's what we call a life saver! You guys go ahead and do what you see fit." Nyle then proceeds to cheer on Boboiboy as he walked back to inform his friends, leaving you no chocie but to just hope the best.

Boboiboy and his friends made it back to camp while carrying berries, fruits, and even quite a few fish. It made Nyle sigh in relief, while you were a bit taken back by their combined efforts. Instead of taking the easy way out- and that was going home and calling it a day (you refuse to call it giving up), Boboiboy chose to interfere and present another solution that you never would've considered in the first place.
There was no point in criticizing yourself for your lack of perspective in this problem. What you deemed the correct move to proceed with is to thank the saviours of the night personally, of course.
Gopal, Ying, Yaya, and Fang made no big deal out of it. They were glad to be of assistance, though Fang made sure to give you some sass before that smug smile of his presented itself to you. You let the carrot donut loving fool have the last laugh, for now.
All that's left to thank is the person who came up with the solution; Boboiboy.
After taking the directions his friends gave you of his, you end up near the cliff you found yourself stumbling upon the other day. He was looking up at the night sky, a gentle breeze passing by as you took a step closer to him, and he noticed the presence beside him. Although you couldn't help but notice how his eyes seemed to light up.
Perhaps it was just your mind playing tricks on you.
"Thank you, for what you did back there."
Boboiboy shakes his head at this, "It's nothing, you should be thanking my friends, they made it possible-" you cut him off at this.
"I have already thanked them." You don't know why, but you feel the urge to take a deep breath before you continue, "And now I'm here to personally thank you. You're the one who came up with the solution." It was a simple explanation, and yet, you fail to notice how his pupils seem to have dilated at your words, or how he even felt his heart skip a few beats.
"..you're welcome, [Name]." he said softly, his lips curling upwards to form a what people would describe as a cute smile.
You nod at this, before your attention drifted to the night sky above you two, your eyes reflecting the magnificent view from above. It was a peaceful night, definitely the perfect time to admire the celestial beings decorating the sky.
Away from the collective cheers and laughter, the two of stood still midst the cold winds picking up the longer you stayed. None made a move to turn away and call in a night. Boboiboy looks over to you, his stare lingering for quite a while, though it seems you failed to notice it, from how caught up you were with admiring the stars.
He quietly chuckles to himself, his smile softening as he continued to shamelessly stare at you, taking in every little detail his eyes could pick up and mind could memorize within such a fleeting moment like this.
And now he wonders what it would feel like to finally pour out the contents of his heart to you. But, he holds himself back, reminding himself not to take advantage of a such a moment for you.
At least now, he can finally see you for who you truly are.
