"Welcome to Casa de Cabello everyone," Dad said as soon as we park into an average size house with a tree beside it and a pond next to it, and all you can see is trees, which means that we're in a place with no strong connection
"Daddy, is there a wifi here?" I heard my younger sister, Sofi asked our father making me look at my dad expectantly
"Nope, we're here to relax and be away for a city and radiation for a few days. So please give all your gadgets before you can go inside and pick out your rooms
Dad said holding a container in front of him and looking at both Sofi and me sternly making me groan but put my phone in and huff before stomping inside and go upstairs and picked the farthest room from downstairs
I put my bags on the bed and shut the door and open the window and sees that the room I picked out was just right beside the big tree
I sit on the bed and unpacked my bag. While unpacking I remember something and quickly lock my door before sitting back down and pull out my old phone that I always bring on a family vacation in case my dad confiscates our phones, like now. Well, he always confiscates all our phones, Tablets, and iPad, but he doesn't confiscate my laptop because sometimes when we are going on a vacation it's still not break yet so there's a paper I need to pass for my lost days that I didn't attend school. which I'm still thankful for but at the same time not. Because I can finish my papers, but there isn't any wifi, so it's still useless at some point.
Anyways, so I pull out my phone turning it on and waited until it loaded, and put my passcode
And quickly slid into contacts and find Dinah's phone Number
CA MEE LUH
Aye, Cheech, can you send me Lauren's phone number, please? Dad Confiscated our phones and now I'm stuck using my old phone that he didn't know I still use at some point, please??
Minutes later I receive a Text message from Dinah with Lauren's number in it

Oh yeah, you're on a vacation, which I still don't understand, because in a few days we'll be out of school for Christmas break
CA MEE LUH
Ughh!!! I know right? I don't know what's dad up to, we can be here once break starts, anyways, thank you chee, I owe you one, love yah😘
I messaged her before saving Lauren's contact number and texted her

Hey babe
I waited for her reply but I didn't get any so I unpacked my things and organize them because I think Lauren's Still asleep, it's the weekend so it's early for her to be awake
I lay sprawled on my bed looking at the ceiling when I heard a knock on the door
"Hey, Kaki? Dad said that you need to get down" Sofia said not opening the door
"Ok," I said and I heard her leave making me groan
I just want to rest
I think to myself but still stands up and go downstairs to see Mom, Dad, and Sofia in the dining area eating
"Karla, Eat before you rest, I assume you already unpack your things?" mom asked once I stepped inside the dining room,
I only nodded and take a seat next to Sofia who is happily eating her breakfast which consists of pancakes, bacon, egg, and some berries
I quickly grab mine and dig in it and hum happily once the taste of the sweet syrup hit my tongue
"How's school?" Dad asked sipping his juice before wiping his mouth
"It's good, I really don't get why we need to go on a vacation when in a few days Christmas break is coming," I said looking at both of them
"Ahh, yes that... Uhmm I won't be home for Christmas... But, we're still on for the Vacation at Australia"
"Why?" Sofia asked beside me
"I have to finish some paper works and attend some important meetings that are scheduled a week after new years so that we can have a Longer Vacation in Australia, sorry babies," Dad said smiling sadly at us
"It's no problem dad, At least we'll have a longer stay in Australia right? And we can just give presents there" I said smiling at my parents whose smiles widen at that
"Ah, yes Mija! I promise to buy lots of presents for you both" Mom said holding dads hands making me smile
They're Married for about 18 years now, and yet the love they have when they were young is still here and growing
I want that kind of love, even after so many fights, problems, struggles of how to do and face some things, at the end of the day, it's you and your partner will be laying in the same bed telling each other everything that's happened in your day, it'll be both of you who'll share happiness, sadness, hurt, excitement and sorrow.
I want that, I hope I find that kind of love.
I smile thinking of that one person I'm hoping to become my person for eternity
"Mom, can I go to my room? I'm tired" Sofia said Yawning and pushing her now empty plate towards mom who stood up and takes it to the sink
"Of course sweety, but I need you to unpack your clothes after you wake up ok? And change your clothes before you rest so you will be comfortable sleeping" Mom said rinsing her hands and drying them with a towel near the fridge
"Ok" Sofi Got up and kiss both my parents cheeks before going upstairs
I finish my food before saying that I want to rest as well which my parents nodded and I kiss both their cheeks too before going up to my room and locking the door
I took out the phone that's under my pillow and see that I have a new message

Uhmm? Hey? I think you got the wrong number sorry

Oh? I am? I think I got the right number though, aren't you my girlfriend?

Well, I have a girlfriend already so I don't think that I'm yours though sorry

I didn't reply at that just lock my phone and slid it back under my pillow and let out a sigh before slumping on the bed with a little smile before looking around my room without getting up from the bed
"I better rest, because I'm sure Papi will wake us up and I won't have enough sleep," I said to myself before closing my eyes and drifting into sleep
