About an hour goes by and Tom still isn't home, I grab my phone and call him.
"Tom if everything alright?"
"Yeah darling just bad traffic going out of the airport I'll be home in couple minutes!"
"okay. I just got a little scared"
"No worries, I love you bye"
"bye."
After 5 minutes I hear the garage door open, Tom walks in smiling.
"What did you do?"
He walks over and is holding something behind his back.
"I thought I would get a little something.."
he brings his hand out and is holding a bag.
"I got you a lil-treat!"
I take the bag and theirs a donut inside.
"Aw Tom thank you, I'll keep it for later still not that hungry."
He sets the bag on the counter and takes his jacket off.
"Still? Are you sure your alright?"
He comes around and sits down on the couch.
"Yeah I'm good, it's probably cause it's still really early. Usually I'm throwing up right now?"
He grabs the remote and turns on Spotify.
"Hey I was watching something!"
He turns on his playlist.
"C'mon get up! Let's dance!"
He grabs my hand and lifts me up.
"Tom why are we dancing?"
He pulls me close to him and we slow dance on the rug.
"Shh just dance!"
I began to lay my head on his shoulder.
"Claire I can't for the baby"
I lift my head up.
"Aw Tom I know you want to be a dad"
He shakes his head.
"No I meant so then we can have our wedding, I mean yes I want to be a dad but I just can't wait for our wedding. I just want to kiss you and have our dance!"
I smile and kiss him on the cheek.
"Of course Tom! Waiting longer just gives us more time to practice."
He smiles and I lay my head back down.
We dance in the living room for what feels like hours.
