Rose 61. On Beauty
Your beauty is a rose of bloom
Upon this barren place of doom,
A welcome sight to rest the eyes;
And where you tread upon these grounds,
The flowers bloom and life abounds,
For you're a goddess in disguise;
And when you turn to look my way
And smile at me, you've made my day
And eased my waning slow demise.
