Georges' POV
Me and Mary walked through the hall and finally got to the door to the dining room, Philip had already came in
Mary took a deep breath "Let's go?" I asked
"Yeah I'm just a little nervous" Mary said
"Don't worry this people are the best believe me"
Mary smiled "okay let's go"
We entered the big room and everyone instantly looked at us
"Hi guys, so this is Mary...Jefferson she's gonna eat with us" Everyone looked surprised when I said this,
Mary gave them a nervous wave "come sit then I wanna eat" uncle Herc said, Mary and I smiled and sat down
I sat next to Angie and Philip, Mary sat next to my sister and David
After a big silence everyone finally started talking and making the mess that Christmas Eve usually was
Aunt Eliza brought the food, everyone ate while talking
"So Mr. Burr didn't come?" Angie asked, Theo instantly sighed
"Ugh don't even talk about him, that man is so stubborn" Theo said
"He refused to come" Philip said with an annoyed look
"Of course he did" Uncle Alex instantly said
Theo looked embarrassed
"I'm sure it wasn't because he didn't want to come, maybe he just had other things to do" Aunt Eliza instantly said, Theo smiled
"Sure he did" uncle Alex said sarcastically, which made aunt Eliza slap him the arm
"Stop Alexander"
Everyone started talking again after a few minutes
Aunt Eliza started to take the dishes off the table, my mom quickly got up to help her
"Adri go back to your seat" she said, my mom shook her head
"You didn't let me help you with dinner so I'm helping you with this, allons" my mom said going to the kitchen to put the dishes there, Aunt Eliza shook her head with a smile on her face and headed to the kitchen
When they came back my mom had a cake on her hands and Aunt Eliza had a chocolate mousse, they quickly dropped the things on the table
Aunt Eliza placed two candles on the cake, I smiled
"Okay let's sing happy birthday everyone" Aunt Eliza said calling the children that were playing on the living room, everyone started to sing happy birthday, I smiled feeling lucky that I had family and friends that actually cared about me
When the song ended everyone started to eat the cake
After dessert everyone got up and continued talking, I saw uncle Alex, uncle Herc, uncle John and my dad all together, I also saw my mom, aunt Eliza, aunt Beth and aunt Peggy talking by the couch,
Then by the stairs were Angie, Frances and David, by the fireplace was Ana, Mary and Will, Philip and Theo were together whispering something
My ma called me, I quickly got to her, Aunt Peggy smiled at me "Oh gosh they're growing up way too fast, look at you" Aunt Eliza said, I laughed
"Oui can you believe they're already going to college next year?" My mom said
3rd person perspective
On the other side of the room was Philip and Theo
"So mistletoe?" Theo whispered
"Mistletoe" Philip said with a smile
Georges' POV
I was talking to my aunts until Philip got to us and grabbed my wrist "Can I take him for a minute?"
They all nodded and Philip pushed me "Philip what's up?" I asked
We stopped near the fireplace and he started talking "can you stand just a little more to the left?"
"Okay?" I said going to the left
"What's up Theo why are you so rushed?" I heard Angie talking behind me
"Oh look mistletoe" Philip said
Me and Angie turned around, I quickly glared at Philip finally knowing what was happening
"Would you look at that" I said sarcastically
"You have to kiss" Theo said smiling, Angie and I glared at Theo
"It's just a stupid tradition" I said
"Yeah but it is a tradition, you have to do it" Philip said
"Go on then" Mary said
I looked at Angie, she rolled her eyes with a smile "let's just give them what they want"
"Fine" I said pretending like I didn't want to do that, in reality I was super excited I'd wanted to kiss her for two years now
We got closer and I felt the whole room staring at us, Angie placed her right hand on my face and smiled, I smiled back before closing my eyes, I felt her lips touch mine and leaving as quickly as they came,
I opened my eyes, Angie blushed, I blushed back, I saw everyone looking at us
"I'm g-going to get some air" Angie said leaving
Philip and Theo smiled at me, I glared at them and went to the balcony
Angie was there, she sat on the floor, I sat next to her, I saw her eyes widen when I did this
"Are you okay?" I asked
"Yeah sure"
I smiled "y-you kiss good" Angie said blushing "someday some girl is going to be super lucky to have you"
"T-thanks, you kiss good too" I said, Angie smiled
Maybe this was the time to tell her, tell her that the only girl I'd ever want to be with was her, tell her that I was so in love with her she was the only thing my mind thought about
I took a deep breath, having an anxiety attack on the inside but controlling it "Angie I-"
"Georges we're going now" Virginie said, I nodded
"I should go" I said, Angie nodded and left the balcony with me "bye Ang" I said, Angie smiled and hugged me
"Bye" she said
After a few minutes everyone said their goodbyes, I left with a sigh knowing that I wasn't brave enough to tell her
