XII: SOULMATE AU

Marinette's POV

Soulmates are a gift meant to balance the pairs out. Like the Yin and Yang.

In this world you are tend to find your soulmate at the age of 18. Sometimes if the pull is strong you see the color of their eyes in your dreams. Afterall the eyes are the windows to the soul is it not? The moment you turn 18 a word or words that describes your soulmate will appear on your arm or wrist. Believe it or not the moment you see and meet them both your eyes begin to glow.

I once believed that Adrien was my soulmate. I mean the reason was because I often dream and see green eyes. That didn't go well. When I looked at his eyes our eyes didn't glow and well the word on my arm said "Demon".

I sometimes wonder if I'll ever find him.
If I'll ever get to meet him. My green eyed soulmate...

I am now here in Gotham, I was going to attend a meeting with Bruce Wayne as MDC.

Audrey and Chloe had finally convinced me to reveal myself. First step was to my clients.

It has been 6 years since Lie-la, she and Adrien were dating for about 2 or 3 years now I think, but I could tell they were forced, possibly by Mr. Agreste.
Chloe and I had moved to Gotham since we were both accepted at Gotham University but, I took online classes and well I had just one last semester to take before I graduate.

(A/N: I know that isn't how it works but hey It's fiction it doesn't really need to be true😅 Also Mari is 21 years old. 😅)

The reason why I took online classes was because being MDC is a responsibility, I enjoy it though, it is my passion. I don't like the attention, fame or money I get from being MDC. I like and love the smiles and appreciation I get from my clients. It gives me satisfaction to know that they are happy with my creation.

Anyways I was in a cafe across WE. I was going to go in there in about 30‐40 minutes so I just sat in the cafe drinking coffee just to relax my nerves, I was a bit nervous c'mon this is Bruce Wayne! Yah sure I've worked with Audrey Bourgouis, Jagged Stone, Clara Nightangle and a few more but I was still nervous.

The meeting was going to be about a commission for him and his sons for a Wayne Gala next month.

A few 20 minutes later I entered WE yes a bit early but I don't mind, I also didn't want to be late.

The receptionist asked me if I was lost. Do I really look like a teenager? Hmm oh well. I told her that I have a meeting with Bruce Wayne at 1:30, she taught it was a joke and said get lost, that this was a serious company and that pranks are not welcome. I was going to show the email to her when a man waljed towards us.

"Hey Anna has anyone checked in for the 1:30 appointment with Mr. Wayne?" He seemed a bit excited.

"Excuse me sir, but yes I-" I was going to inform him but...

"No sir, none Mr. Grayson" the receptionist said.

"Oh," he said and looked down.

He was walking away when I tapped his shoulder and said,
"Actually monseuir I am here for the 1:30 appointment. Here I have Mr. Wayne's email about the meeting," I smiled and showed him the email.

"Eeeekkkk. Um sorry it's just that I'm a fan of your work. Ehem- Right this way Mr. Wayne will be meeting you in his office shortly. Oh by the way I'm Richard Grayson," he said and smiled while he led me to the elevator.

"Thank you Mr. Grayson. Good day Ms. Anna," I said smiling and walking towards the elevators with Mr. Grayson.

"Um Pardon me Mr. Grayson but if I may ask what were you doing asking if the 1:30 appointment has come?" I asked.
