"Everyone, I'd like you to meet Lizzy." Ashton announced as he pulled me onto stage. She's gonna be out new photographer. Now I know you're all gonna miss Andy, but he's gonna be a dad soon and doesn't have time for us anymore." Ashton chuckled at his own horrible humor. "I know Izzy very well. We grew up together so you have no need to worry about if we'll get along with her or not. Because we all get along together really well. Last year she toured with us so she could learn how to do tours. That's why I think she's perfect for the job. So if you all could be nice and welcome her to the family I'd be grateful."
Surprisingly everyone let out a cheer, I just smiled and waved with my camera around my neck.
"see what did I tell you everything will be fine." Ashton smiled and patted my back. "Now let's begin your first day." Ashton laughed and went over to his drum set. Calum was with his bass, Michael with his Guitar and Luke was well in the center of it all.
Since I had checked all the cameras around Ashton's drums set I went down and checked the camera in front of the stage where Luke was to make sure it was set. Once I knew everything was set I gave a nod to some of my helpers just as the music began.
" Thinking 'bout you lots, lately
Have you been eating breakfast alone like me?
Thinking 'bout you lots, lately
Is it bad that I'm hoping that you're broken?
Is it bad that I'm wishing you're still broken?
That you haven't found fish in the ocean
Is it bad? So bad"
I couldn't help but lip sync the words as I began photographing and recording different parts of the show.
" Is it weird that I'm drunk and on my sofa?
Is it weird that I'm naked on my sofa?
All alone, damn, I wish I didn't know ya
Is it weird? So weird
I know I'm the stupid one who ended it
And now I'm the stupid one regretting it
It took me a couple drinks to admit it
I know I'm the stupid one"
As the show went on I continued to take pictures of the boys, the crowd, and the boys individually. The whole thing was invigorating and I loved it so much.
The whole show only seemed like it lasted 30 minutes but really it was two hours long.
"Time sure does fly when having fun." I smiled and giggled as Ashton put his sweaty arm around my shoulder as we walked backstage.
"Maybe for you but my arms are tired". Ashton laughed, of course I knew he was just joking. Ashton has amazing arm strength I'm pretty sure he could play for a whole 24 hours and still not be tired.
"Sure." I replied laughing. Once we got backstage Ashton moved his arm off my shoulder and went to drinking some water to hydrate himself. I did the same. After running back and forth trying to get good angles I was tired and so ready for bed, but I had things I had to do. Like upload these pictures to my laptop so I could edit them and post them as soon as possible. Especially the picture of the crowd.
"So how did you enjoy your first day?" Luke asked as he wiped off with a towel.
"It was great." I smiled and began putting my camera and lenses away into my bag. "I'm already excited for editing and usually I dread that part."
"I'm glad you had a good time." Calum chimed in.
"Thanks Cal." I smiled and yawned lightly. Once I had everything packed up I put it over my shoulder, said goodnight to the boys and walked to the bus I was staying in.
When I got to the bus none of the people I was staying with had made it there yet. They were either packing things away or celebrating the first show of the tour.
I usually partied with them when the boys had their first night of the show, because usually it was in Los Angeles and that's where I lived.
But now I was part of the tour I had way to much work that needed done.
As I was working on the pictures I couldn't help but smile. I was finally getting to do what I loved. And I was going to be recognized for it . Well hopefully.
I mean I'm not as good as Andy but he was up for an award a couple years ago just for taking pictures of the boys on tour.
Maybe that would happen to me?
After editing for what seemed like forever I laid my head back and closed my eyes. Just to take a little break.
The next thing I knew I was being work up by a knock on the door of the bus.
I rubbed my eyes and looked around for a minute trying to figure out where the hell I was and what time it was. In that time there was about four more knocks.
"I'm coming." I replied as I stood up and walked over to the door. As I should of known it was Ashton with a bottle of tequila and a couple shot glasses.
"What ya doing here?"
