Ch5 - the party

Tsukishima's POV

Tadashi and I finally get to Tanaka's house. School was normal today, well, besides the fact I was slightly nervous all day. I mean I don't think I talk in my sleep but if I do, anyone hearing me call Tadashi "Yams" would be very hard to explain, especially if it was Tadashi who heard me.

"Hi Yamaguchi! Tsukishima." Hinata says as he opens the door, saying in a voice of obvious irritation. I let out a "tch" as Tadashi walks inside and I follow.

"Hey guys!" I hear Tanaka say. I see him and Nishinoya sitting on the table and spot Kageyama raiding the fridge for milk.

"So I guess this means we're all here?" Nishinoya says, hopping off the table. "What should we do?" Hinata asks. "I don't know. I mean both my parents are out so Tanaka and I thought it would be a good idea to host a party with the team but Asahi and the other 3rd years are out doing some team activity with some of the other team's 3rd years and all the other 2nd years were busy with their own stuff so there's really nothing to do." Nishinoya says. "Oh oh I know! Let's play truth or dare!" Hinata says, jumping around excitedly.

This could be my opening.

Everyone agrees except Tadashi, who stands there silently, and me who thinks for a moment. "I guess." I say. "I'm in too." Tadashi says. "Great! Let's go to my room." Nishinoya says. We all follow him and sit down on the ground, except for Nishinoya who lays on the bed, facing us.

"So who's gonna start?" Tanaka asks.

"Me me me!" Hinata says. Nobody objects so he starts talking. "Tanaka! Truth or dare!" Hinata says. "Dare." He says. "I dare you to text Kiyoko and confess your love for her." Tanaka looks hesitant and starts blushing. "I mean... she already can tell I think and umm... I feel like telling her would break some sort of unspoken code. Plus I can't because Noya and I agreed we won't make any moves." Tanaka explains. "Oh sorry. Well then... try to lick your elbow!" Hinata says. "Dumbass Hinata dumbass! All your dares are boring!" Kageyama says.

We all play for a good 20 minutes. It's all pretty boring and all the truths and dares aren't entertaining at all. I can't stand this.

"Yamaguchi! Your turn!" Hinata says.

"Okay. Umm... Do you like someone?" Yamaguchi asks. My eyebrows shoot up. Why is he asking someone else that? I mean I don't expect him to ask me that but I don't see why he would ask Hinata. I'm overthinking, it's probably a harmless question.

I see Hinata blush. "Well... umm... y-yeah kinda..." Hinata says nervously. "Okay Tsukishima, your turn!" Nishinoya says.

 I feel like creating chaos.

"Hinata. Truth or dare?" I ask.

"N-no fairrrrrrr! How come I get asked twice in a row? Anyways, dare!" He says. I smirk.

"Alright, I dare you to call your crush." I say

Hinata turns a very bright red.

"B-b-but I... n- wh-WHY IS THAT FAIR?" Hinata stutters.

"I'm not saying you have to confess, just call them and say hi." I say.

"Come on you have to! For the dare!" Nishinoya says.

I expected Kageyama to be shouting "Dumbass Hinata Dumbass" right about now but he seems a bit too quiet. I may have accidentally matchmaked them. Oops.

Nishinoya and Tanaka keep pestering Hinata about calling his crush. "OKAY FINE!" He shouts, pulling his phone out of his pocket with a shaky hand.

Suddenly, we all hear a ringing. I see Kageyama pull out his phone as the ringing becomes louder. Now Hinata and Kageyama are both the color of Shiritorizowa's obnoxious middle blockers hair.

"D-DUMBASS HINATA DUMBASS! Y-Y-YOU CALLED ME!" Kageyama shouts.

"YEAH I KNOW!" Hinata shouts.

Kageyama pauses for a moment, but then suddenly he shifts over to face Hinata, very quickly kissing his lips. Both Hinata and Kageyama look very shocked, each staring at the ground.

"Umm... Hinata, your turn." Nishinoya says.

Hinata looks up at me with no hesitation. "Tsukishima. Truth or dare." He says. He looks almost scary.

"Truth." I say.

"Do you have a crush and if so, who?" He asks.

"Dimwit. That's two questions." I say.

Fuck.

"Who's your crush if you have one."

Double fuck

I can feel my cheeks start to heat up slightly. "Well, I think it's about time to end this game, I mean it's been like 30 minutes. Also, I don't care if any of you call me a coward. I just see it as private information.

"You made me share my private information though." Hinata says.

"Well you could have just done what I did, plus, you got the king to kiss you, isn't that what you wanted?" I say.

"...I guess... Umm... Thanks... I guess..." Hinata mutters.

Now it's dead obvious I like someone. This isn't good.

There's now a lot of tension in the room.

"So... prank calls anyone?" Tanaka asks. "Hell yeah bro!" Nishinoya says.

I glance over at Tadashi. He's staring at the ground. I gently hit his shoulder with the back of my hand and he looks over at me. "You look like you're feeling down, wanna leave or something?" I ask quietly. "Oh no! I'm fine! I was just thinking..." Tadashi says. I'm about to ask what he's thinking about until Nishinoya asks Tadashi and I if we're gonna join in the prank calls, which we do.
