MY LAST DAY WITH HER

"I'm sorry, sir. But you don't have much time left," my doctor said to me.

I'm at my doctor's office. As what I expected, I received a bad news.

"Is there any other way, doc?" I asked.

"There's no, sir. The cancer in your body is quickly killing your organs and it's too late for you to have a surgery, you might die. I'm sorry," my doctor explained.

I looked up in the ceiling, trying to hold back my tears.

"Thank you," I uttered. I stood up and opened the door for exit.

As I gone outside of my doctor's office, I saw my girlfriend—Ysa waiting for me on a hospital bench beside me. I wiped my tears and walk directly to her.

"Babe, how was it?" she said with her eyes widen.

I fakely smiled. "It's good."

She stood up and abruptly hug me.

"What is this for?" I asked.

"I love you," she muttered.

"I love you too," I responded.

Lumabas na kami ng ospital. Hindi ko sinabi sa kaniya na malala na ang lagay ko dahil alam kong magiging labis ang pagaalala niya.

Nasa bahay na kami and it was already night. I entered my room and I saw Akira fast asleep. I immediately booked a resort and packed our clothes on a suitcase. I woke up in the next morning and I prepared our breakfast early.

This might be my last day with her. I hope she'll enjoy this day with me.

Pumunta ako sa k'warto kung saan nakita ko siyang nakahiga pa't natutulog. Lumapit ako sa kaniya at umupo sa tabi niya upang ginising siya.

I kissed her forehead. "Babe, wake up! Eat your breakfast, and take a bath, wear your most beautiful dress, we're going somewhere." I shaked her to wake her up.

Agad naman siyang nagising at bigla akong hinalikan sa labi.

"Good morning," she greeted.

"Good morning." I continued kissing her.

She smiled. "Where are we going?" She asked.

I smirked. "It's a secret." I stood up. "Come on, eat and take a bath."

"Okay," she answered.

Tumayo na siya at lumabas ng k'warto. Naligo na ako at nagbihis pagkatapos ay inilagay ko na ang aming bagahe sa kotse.

Hinintay ko na lang siya na lumabas. A few minutes passed, I saw her coming outside from our frontdoor.

My jaw is dropped as I gazed on a beautiful and gorgeous woman of my life.

"Ano pang hinihintay mo? Tara na!" she uttered.

Natulala pa rin ako sa kaniyang kagandahan hanggang sa magising ako sa katotohanan. I opened the front-car door at pinapasok siya. Isinarado ko rin ito at pumunta sa kabila at pumasok sa loob.

"Are you ready?" I asked.

"I'm a bit nervous."

Marahan akong lumapit sa kaniya at hinalikan siya sa labi. "Okay na?"

"Okay na." She smiled.

I buckled our seatbelts on for safety.

Sinumalan ko na ang pagmamaneho, and hours had passed, nakarating na rin kami sa resort—where I booked for us.

Nakita ko ang pagkasabik sa kaniyang mukha. Eksakto't malapit na ring lumubog ang araw.

I parked my car, and after that lumabas ako to lift up our suitcase. Pumunta kaming dalawa sa cashier at sinabi ko ang na booked kong room.
