Do you know what's worse than waking up to your alarm clock ringing in your ear? It's waking up with your twin sister jumping on your bed like the freaking energizer bunny. "Get up! Get up, Get up, Get up!!" she yells, as she bounces up and down messing up the springs in my bed. "What do you want Rosé!?" I snap as I'm forced from the comfort of my blankets. "It's our first day at High School!!! Get up!" She screamed happily and pulled the covers off my body.

Let me reintroduce myself, my name is Violet Roth and this little ball of energy is my twin sister Rosé. Most people don't think we are sisters, let alone twins due to the fact our skins don't match, but I have paper work, blood work and pictures to prove it so shut the hell up.

I groan and get up, much to my sisters delight, "Yay! Now get dressed, we should get to school early to check classes, and lockers and, and, and," I tuned her out, focused on fixing my bed sheets that she messed up. "Violet," Rosé said quietly making me turn in confusion, why the hell is she suddenly quiet? "What's up Rosé?" I ask quirking my head to the side. She sighs, "What if school sucks, or I get bad teachers, or people are rude, what if-" She's letting her insecurities in. "Rosé." I say firmly causing her to stop and look at me, "The only one between us with that sort of bad luck is me, so stop stressing. You're gonna get great teachers and everyone will love you. Besides you also have me and Cherry, so stop stressing and get dressed cause I swear if you made me get up for nothing I will kill you."

Rose smiles and pulls me into a hug, "You'll get good things too Violet." She whispered before pulling away and grinning, "I book the shower first," and she bolted out of my room and to the bathroom. I roll my eyes and chuckle at my twin, I love her and after the shit we've been through I ain't letting anything happen to her. I hear the sound of the shower going, meaning she's hopped in to get done. I walk over to my cupboard and pull out my uniform which consisted of a white short-sleeve button up, red and black tie, a red pleated skirt, a black blazer with red trim and black shoes. I'm allowed to choose what socks or tights I wear so I decide to wear fishnets and black secret socks. I roll my shoulders and sigh, first day of high school - what could go wrong.

"SWITCH!" I hear Rosé yell down the hall, making me pick up my uniform and head to the bathroom. Rose is making her way to her bedroom to get dressed and gives me a smile as we pass each other. Once I'm satisfied that I'm clean, I hop out and dry myself. I towel my black locks before turning on the hairdryer, running my hands through my hair to help dry it faster. Once its dry I tie it up into a high pony tail and get dressed. I untuck my shirt because I don't do tucked shirts and leave my tie messy. Once that's finished with I make my way down stairs for breakfast.

"Morning Violet," our mom says as she makes breakfast. Rose is already seated, swinging her legs happily with a cup of tea in hand. I sit next to my sister at the table and take a sip of my coffee while mom serves eggs and toast. "Are you girls excited for school?" she asks as she sits down with us to eat. Rose smiles and nods, "Of course! First day of high school, there is so much to do and explore." Our mom laughs at her enthusiasm and then turns to me, "And you Violet?" I shrug my shoulders, "I guess. I mean we get to do our own subject choices so that's a plus." Mom nods and takes a sip of her tea. "My babies are growing up," she whispers and I see a tear roll down her cheek.

Me and Rose exchange looks and then reach for our mom's hands. "It's ok mom. We're gonna be ok," Rose says smiling softly. I give mom's  hand a squeeze, "you know we will always be your little girls and that we will always be here with you." Mom wipes her cheeks and smiles, "I know girls. I love you both so much." We smile, "We love you too mom."
