I held Emery’s hand nervously as we approached Emery’s home. Emery had come to pick me up since it had gotten pretty cold for a walk. We were standing at the door, waiting to come in.

I was all too nervous about this as opposed to Emery who looked just ecstatic to share our news. I squeezed his hand gently. He looked up at me and gave me a reassuring smile. He laid his hand on my cheek and got on his tip toes to kiss me.

“There’s no need to be worried, Beck. They’ll love you, my mom and Chet already do.” He said, trying to calm me down. His mother still didn’t know about us yet and I was pretty nervous to tell her to, no matter how easy going she is.

I gave Emery a nervous smile and pressed my forehead to his. He gave my hand another squeeze and pulled back. He looked up at me, beaming.

“Are you ready?” He asked. I thought about it and shook my head. He rolled his eyes and gave me an annoyed look. I sighed but nodded. He smiled and kissed my cheek. He reached out for the brass door knob and turned gently, opening the door. We walked inside, hand in hand.

I heard laughing and whooping from some point in the house, most likely down stairs. My stomach churned. Emery motioned for me to stay here and tried to let go of my hand. I panicked and reached for it again, recoiling our fingers. He gave me another look and I released him, disappointed.

He gave me a reassuring smile and walked into another room. I heard loud voices call his name and his sweet laugh. I twiddled my fingers nervously as I heard Emery call for their attention. I listened closely.

“I want you guys to meet someone. Can you guys handle that?” Emery’s velvet voice spoke.

“Oh, does Emery finally have a little boyfriend?” A voice boomed. His voice was filled with a childish mockery.

“Actually…” Emery said, voice trailing off. He returned for me and gave me a sweet smile. He grabbed my hand and lightly tugged me towards the voices. I shook my head but he nodded and pouted. He entwined our fingers together and pulled me. I followed him slowly into the family room.

I looked around the room. There were two men I recognized from the picture upstairs.  I gulped, feeling my stomach flip flop.

Eevie smiled at me and winked. “I knew my son had good taste.”

Emery rolled his eyes and squeezed my hand. “Guys, this is my boyfriend, Beck.”

The two men looked me over with sly smiles. Emery tugged me over to them and let me stand awkwardly behind him.

The boy- no, not boy, the man- sat straight on the couch, all perfect skin, pale as freshly fallen snow, a childish yet beautiful face. Slick black hair, falling just below his ears, shone navy in the light and hypnotic electric blue gems gleamed with playful amusement, the slightest of snarky smirks danced lightly across his full lips.

His body was built and muscled under his dark blue tee shirt, his shoulders back and his head held tall. He crossed his fingers and leaned on his hands with a devious grin.

The other boy, Levi, I’m guessing, slouched slightly on the couch, showing muscles in his back through the thin white material. He was still tanner than the rest, his skin with a caramel tint. Raven locks tumbled like silk to his shoulders, framing his face; the rest was pulled back into a loose pony tail. Half lidded sapphires smoldered erotically. They were much bluer than the rest, sparking and crackling with electricity. A cherry lolly dangled between sweetly grinning lips, staining them red like a small child.
