With a pounding in my head, I groaned as a small body landed directly onto my torso. My head screamed in agony as Caden started talking a mile a minute. About what? I have no clue. I can’t even begin to understand what he’s saying; I’m too sleepy for that shit.
“Wake up Daddy!" Caden squeals, making me grin but that soon turned into a scowl as his little hands started slapping me on the face, trying to wake me up his way. I can’t wait until he’s a teenager so I can use these waking up methods on him.
"I'm up Cade. Remember what happens when you slap me though?" grinning, I clasped his hands in my much larger ones and ignoring his protests, I twisted us both around.
"No! Please no Daddy! No Tickle Monster!" he giggled, squirming underneath me. Fuck, I bloody love him. I hope that smile never leaves his face; I will kill anyone if they try to wipe away his beautiful smile.
"Well, I don't like getting smacked Cade, works both ways." I smirk, blowing a raspberry in his face.
With my tongue stuck out, I used one hand to hold his arms above his head and with the other; I began to tickle him under his neck. His ticklish spot. "Stop!" he gasped out, tears of laughter running down his cheeks.
Chuckling, I interlocked our fingers together and stopped tickling him. Placing a kiss on his cute little button nose, I asked "What do you want to do today then baby?"
"I not a baby daddy, I'm a big boy!" he scowled, glaring up at me with his cute little lips pulled in a pout.
"Okay, okay! What do you want to do today then... big boy?" I asked, humouring him. An amused smile made its way onto my face as he tried to push me away. Pretending to fall back on to the bed, I watched as he got up and sat on top of me again.
"Can we go to the Park please?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. Damn, I taught him well!
"Of course we can buddy, but we have to go into Town first to get a few things. You alright with that?" I ask with my eyebrow raised high. It’s a skill that I didn’t know I had until I got my little boy.
"Yeah! Can I have an ice-cream please?" he widened his eyes and stuck out his lips a little, making me laugh. That’s my boy!
"Only if you're a good boy today." I say, trying to bargain with him.
A smile made its way onto my face as I watched him jump off the bed and run to his bedroom. That little boy is my whole life, he saved me from myself. Fuck knows where I’d be without him... most likely on the side of a curb.
Shaking my head to get rid of the unwanted thoughts of my past, I rolled out of bed and peeped into Caden’s bedroom to see him choosing his clothes. “That white shirt looks good buddy,” I nodded. My eyes narrowed as he completely disregarded the white shirt and instead, picked up the black one. “Fine, be like that then!”
Making my way into the bathroom, I yawned as I looked into the mirror; I was met by my cloud grey eyes and messy brown hair. Meh. I should really do something about my hair but that takes effort. Effort which I do not and never will possess.
