Chapter 25: I'll Be Loving You Even More Over Time

Dan: Oh sige, mauna na kami. May work pa eh

Josh: Ok.

                Pag-alis nila, siya rin namang baba ni Dane sa hagdanan.

Dane: Nandyan ka na pala, kanina ka pa?

Josh: No, ngayon ngayon lang ren.

Dane: Ahh, tara na?

                Lumabas na kami ng house nila, tapos sumakay na ako sa motor ko. Iniabot ko sakanya yong helmet habang binabalance ko yong motor. Nakarating naman kami ng school, ng safe and sound. Umakyat na kami sa 3rd floor ng school building. Pagkarating namin sa room namin, nagpaalam na ren kami.

Josh: Sige Dane, I’ll see you later nalang.

Dane: Sige. Ingat.

                After ng classes, inihatid ko na siya sa bahay nila tapos nagpaalam na ren ako kaagad. Nagmamadali kasi ako eh, bibili sana ako ng chocolates and flowers, babalik ako mamaya dito sa bahay nila, manghaharana ako.

                Umuwi muna ako sa bahay para mag-shower at magpalit ng damit, siyempre dapat yong ma-porma, manliligaw ata ako. Pumunta muna ako sa mall para bumili ng chocolates, siyempre yong masarap, pinalagyan ko ng card. Next stop, sa flower shop, bumili ako ng red roses, hinde naman bouquet, OA yon, hinde naman siya nanalo sa isang beauty contest noh. 8 flowers lang naman, 1 violet flower, 4 red roses and 3 white roses. Sana naman gets niyo kung baket 8 flowers lang diba? Well, kung hinde niyo gets, it’s for you to know, and for you to find out.

                Anyway, pagkatapos ko bumili ng flowers, umuwi muna ako sa bahay para kunin yong piano ko. Tapos, dumiretso na ako sa labas ng bahay nina Dane and I started singing.

 

"Out Of My League"

                Nakita ko yong Mom ni Dane, dumungaw sa bintana. She was signaling at someone to come near her and look at me.

“makes me shiver but in a good way

all the times i have sat and stared 

as she thoughtfully thumbs through her hair

and she purses her lips, bats her eyes as she plays,

with me sitting there slack-jawed and nothing to say”

                Nakita ko yong Daddy ni Dane, dumungaw na ren, nahiya tuloy ako. But Dane’s Dad signaled and ok sign to me. Hinde ko na gets, pero I continued singing nalang.

“coz i love her with all that i am 

and my voice shakes along with my hands 

coz she’s all that I see and she’s all that I need

and i'm out of my league once again”

Finally, It was Dane, I saw her, at the window. She looks so pretty, as always, but tonight, it’s different. My heart keeps on beating faster and faster as I look at her.

“it's a masterful melody when she calls out my name to me

as the world spins around her she laughs, rolls her eyes 

and i feel like i'm falling but it's no surprise“

“coz i love her with all that i am 

and my voice shakes along with my hands 

cause it's frightening to be swimming in this strange sea 

but i'd rather be here than on land 

yes she's all that i see and she's all that i need 

and i'm out of my league once again”

                Nakita ko na nawala si Dane sa window, umalis siya, saan kaya siya nagpunta? ano kaya gagawin niya? I kept on wondering, I can’t stop thinking about her.

“it's her hair and her eyes today

                Nakita kong nag-open yong door nila, I saw Dane, standing right in front of the door. Bago pa man matapos yong kanta ko, lumapit na siya, which made my heart beat faster and faster again. I’m actually out of my league once again.

“coz i love her with all that i am 

and my voice shakes along with my hands 

cause it's frightening to be swimming in this strange sea 

but i'd rather be here than on land 

yes she's all that i see and she's all that i need”

                I held her hand while I was about to sing the last phrase.

“and i'm out of my league once again”

                After the song, I gave the roses and chocolates to her, then I kissed her cheek which made her even more astonished. Masaya ako, I was contented, I wish that moment would last longer than it’s supposed to be. Pero, I cut the kiss, nandon na kasi yong parents niya sa gate eh. Pero before I let go of her, bumulong muna ako sakanaya.

Josh: Dane, I love you and I’ll be loving you even more over time.
