"That was a good movie. You picked a good one." Kongpob said before he finished his last bit of beer and put the empty bottle back on the table.

After he had showered, he bought some snacks and a couple of beers at the evening shop, that they could share during the movie.

It had a very pleasant evening together, and the movie they had just watched was now playing its end music.

"Yeah, it was," Arthisia agreed. "Though I didn't really understand why they had to give it a bad ending. Oh my god, I hate bad endings."

"It wasn't really a bad ending. More an open one." Kongpob disagreed.

"Well, I don't like those either."

Kongpob smiled. "Arth.  You are a hopeless romantic, aren't you? Is that why you are still single? Waiting for a prince to come on his white horse?"

Arthisia rolled her eyes. "No. I don't want some prince. Just a good, decent guy is enough for me."

"Don't we all just want a good decent guy?" Kongpob sighed.

"We do," Arthisia answered and she looked at him with questioning eyes as if she could take the last snack.

"Sure, take it."

There was a short silence, but it wasn't uncomfortable, just silent.

"Arth?"

She looked at him.

"I wanted to ask you. Have you ever been in love?"

Arthisia almost choked on the last bit of biscuit that was in her mouth.

"Careful." Kongpob patted her back.

"I have been in love, yes," she said when she was done coughing.

"What made you fall for the guy?"

Arthisia bit her lip for the briefest moment. "He just left a really deep impact on me. He made me feel less alone, I suppose," she said, looking away from kongpob's stare.

"Why did you two broke up?" He asked.

"We didn't. We were never in a relationship to begin with."

"Unrequited love?"

Arth shook her head. "Also not that. I just never told him how I felt."

"Oh... Why not?" Kongpob asked.

"Cause I never dared to do so. And I still regret it."

"I can imagine," Kongpob said and he softly patted her leg.

When Arthisia flinched her leg at his touch, Kongpob felt stupid. How could he just touch his female employee like that?! On an indecent spot too. What was he? A moron?
