Red string of Wangxian

Soulmates with some liquor on a rooftop.

Wei Wuxian climbed up on top of one of the buildings of Cloud Recces with the Emperors smile liquor in one hand and his sword Suibian in the other.

Wei Wuxian looked around and out of the corner of his eye he noticed the majestic white figure standing before him.

Wei Wuxian, "Ah! Second young master Lan! We meet again!"

Lan Wangji looked directly down at the two smalls jars of liquor that Wei Wuxian held.

Wei Wuxian blurted out, "I heard that the emperors smile liquor of Gusu tastes divine so I bought some along the way."

Lan Wangji, "Alcohol is prohibited in Cloud recess."

Wei Wuxian, "geez how many rules are there here?!"

Lan Wangji, "The wall of disciplines have listed them all, go see for yourself."

Wei Wuxian ranted on, "There are over 3000 rules on that wall, who would take the time to read all those rules."

Wei Wuxian, "If Liquor is prohibited in cloud recess... then I'll just drink it on this rooftop outside of Cloud recess."

Wei Wuxian removed the silk seal from the top of the jar with his teeth and and held it up to the navy moonlit sky and slowly titled it downwards to chug it.

Lan Wangji's face scrunched up like a piece of wasted paper. He grasped the hilt of Bichen like a snake with its pray and suddenly unsheathed it with no warning.

**Bichen is Lan Wangji's saber/sword.

Wei Wuxian who was fully prepared for the attack, he tossed the open jar of Emperors smile into the air and leaped upwards to dodge Lan Wangji's sudden and rapid sword attack.

Lan Wangji swung his sword multiple times at Wei Wuxian but Wei Wuxian had swiftly evaded all of them. He jabbed the sword at the jar of emperors smile that Wei Wuxian had been holding onto, Wei Wuxian caught the sword with his arms, at the same moment the liquor flew high into the air and not much longer later, crashed down onto the cold stony ground.

Wei Wuxian was slightly agitated, "Lan Zhan, pay for my glass of liquor!"

Lan Zhan flew down to the ground where the liquor had shattered, Wei Wuxian followed him down to the ground an glanced down at the shattered glass of liquor.

Lan Wangji nodded his head towards the majestic wall of disciplines then turned his head back to Wei Wuxian.

Wei Wuixan, "What is this... wait no don't answer that I figured it out."

Lan Wangji still answered his question, "Its the wall of Disciplines, You have already broken 3 rules upon your arrival, lets go."

Wei Wuxian, "Lan Zhan but I-"

Wei Wuxian was silenced by the Lan Clan silencing spell. Wei Wuxian looked down at his pinkie wondering if the burden off having a literal human stone as a soulmate was just him imagining things in the spur of the moment or actually real. Sure enough it was still connect to the human stone, the very handsome, Chivalrous, disciplined and well mannered human stone.

Wei Wuxian tumbled onto the ground of the Hanshi still screaming meaningless murmurs.

Lan Xichen saw the helpless Wei Wuxian squirming around on the floor beside him. Lan Xichen looked down at the Wei Wuxian knowing the young disciples secret.

Lan Xichen had known Wei Wuxian secret after one time he had met up with Clan Leader Jiang and Jiang Yanli, Jiang Yanli brought the topic up and told Lan Xichen about it.

Despite this fact, Lan Xichen still had to discipline him.

Lan Xichen, "Young Mater Wei, this is cloud recess, it is not like your Lotus pier, There are indeed many rules here and I am aware that you are new here and I cant blame the innocent, But under no circumstances can I defame our principles, so punishment is inevitable, as for how, Wangji its up to you."

Lan Xichen turned to Lan Wangji and thought, 'better put the pressure on the soulmate himself.'

Lan Wangji spoke without a pause between Lan Xichen's words and his, "Transcribe the principles 300 times."

Wei Wuxian shook his head and started to complain again in a very immature way, forgetting that he still had a silencing spell on him, "Mmph, Phmm, Mph Phmn!"

Lan Xichen smiled down at Wei Wuxian then looked up to his brother, "Wangji, just dispel the silencing spell on young master Wei."

Wei Wuxian aggressively nodded his head at the request.

he spat out, "LAN ZHAN YOU FUDDY-DUDDY! oh I can speak now. ZeWu-jun, listen to me."

Wei Wuxian continued to tell the story of losing the entrance token and then how he had the jar of emperors smile broken.

Lan Xichen, "Young Master Wei, anyhow, you violated our principles first. So you cannot blame Wangji for doing that, also, Lady and young master Jiang have gotten in thanks to Wangji who explained the situation to me."

Wei Wuxian scurried up off the floor to Lan Xichen's side, "they got in?"

Lan Xichen nodded in response.

Wei Wuxian, "HE, let them in?"

Lan Xichen nodded with the biggest smile on his face, he could see the ship beginning to sail.

Wei Wuxian smiled and walked over to Lan Wangji, "So you're not a stone after all."

Lan Wangji backed away from the approaching Wei Wuxian.

Wei Wuxian, "Oh come on Lan Zhan, I really am sorry ok?"

Lan Xichen interrupted the awkwardness, "Well young master Wei, is it ok if i have a word with you outside?"

Lan Xichen turned his head to Lan Qiren for consent to leave the room, Lan Qiren nodded.

Lan Xichen lead Wei Wuxian outside, "Come along young master Wei."

I'm Sorry that i left it on an obvious cliffhanger (i did give away like 1 clue ,but that besides the point) but i hope it was good! (*￣▽￣*)

!ALSO! This story is just the main WANGXIAN moments from the novel- so if you don't know the story line too well I'm terribly sorry (っ °Д °;)っ
