In a room of a certain famous hostess lived a lovely and kind oiran.

Her hair was black as the darkest obsidian. Her eyes were like jewels to others and some like a snake's. Skin as soft and smooth as milk with its scent never washing off her delicate form.

Though, as only a few days had gone by after the letter was sent to the dear oiran, everyone on their house could see changes in her behaviour.

She became quiet, always locking herself in her room and never accepting customers. To the point that the hostess always reprimands her due to the low income of money into their once famous house.

A frown could always be found on Y/N's face, her eyes lost its shine and was always bloodshot due to how many times she cried herself to sleep.

Even when the news containing that her hometown was massacred in a single night, she did not care. The one'sshe cared about was dead, what else could she do?

She sacrificed her purity and dignity once she agreed being an escort. The thought of even having a perfect life with Gyutaro and Ume was shattered once she heard of their deaths. Even if they were still alive, a happy life wouldn't fit for them.

All she knows is to service men, not cook or stitch up clothes. What could she possibly do other than sit and look pretty and wait for a dumb man to waste money on her.

"What is there to life anyway...?"

"Ah, hello. What do you need?" The hostess asks the two kids who stood just out the infamous house.

One had large scars on his face, his complexion was opposite and looked ugly in the hostess's eyes while the other had the prettiest set of lime eyes and beautiful white pale skin. Her cheeks were pink while her lips looked plump.

"We were wondering if this is the h/n(house name)" the ugly one grumbles to her, her brows furrowing as the hand he held with the girl beside him get tighter.

"Hmm? Why yes, is there something you need?" The hostess questions, fanning herself with her wooden fan while the other held the lantern.

She could see them gulp and glance at each other. "Do you know someone with the name of Y/n?" The lime eyed girl asks her, surprising her with the question.

The hostess's eyes soften as she hanged her lantern on the wood, lighting the dark street.

"Yes, poor girl" she mumbles sadly, her demeanour changed a the mere sound of her name.

The two's eyes shine brightly, excited. "R-really? Can you lead us to her?" The boy says, though it sounded like a demand.

Sighing, the older woman shook her head. "I'm afraid that's impossible, my dear" she tells them.

Anger filled their hearts as the girl suddenly tried to claw the woman. "What?! Lead us to her now!! I order you! I'll kill you if you don't!!" The girl whines as she's being held back by the other boy.

The hostess only stared at the whining girl and sighs. "By what I mean by 'impossible' is death" she says to them.

Hearing the word death made the two freeze. Their blood ran cold at the mere word.

"Death?" The two of them mumble, their eyes blinded at her dangerously. Like a prey and the hunter.

Gulping, the hostess turned away and grabbed her lantern. "Yes, death. Just a two days ago, Y/n-oiran was found dead in her room" she informs them and slide the door to her house open."Apparently, she got so sad about her siblings's passing that she hanged herself when everybody slept"

Her eyes turned cold as she turned her head to them. "Please don't utter that name again. A lot of people are grieving over her death. That is all" she says before closing the door infront of them, leaving them to bask in the silence and under the moonlight's glow.
