I slowly open my eyes to my dark room and realize I'm in my bed. I must've fallen asleep in Colton's arms. COLTON! He's back. He came back and he was here in my room. But where is he? I sit up in my bed as my room door opens. He walks in and is only wearing a pair of boxers with a cup of water in his hands. His attire makes me wonder what time it is, my mom must be fast asleep.
"Aw, you weren't supposed to wake up, it's barely 2, you need to sleep," he says, setting the cup of water on the night stand and climbing back into bed. I notice that I'm in his tshirt and my underwear as I curl up next to him. He must've changed me as I was asleep.
"I don't want to sleep, I want to talk to you," I mutter into his bare chest. "I've missed you," I frown.
"I know, I know, I have a lot of explaining to do, but I think you should get some more sleep," he says but I'm not giving in. I look up at him and pout until he agrees to talk. A few moments in to the staring contest, he lets out a big sigh.
"Fine, you win, but after I explain, you're sleeping in until noon tomorrow." I agree even though this boy isn't in any position to be making any demands. I'm supposed to be mad at him, but it's just so hard.
He takes a deep breath before he starts talking. "The morning I left, I went and met Madeleine at Bobby's and she explained to me why she never came back until now." I wait patiently for him to continue as he grabs his phone off of the nightstand next to us. I get off of his chest and sit up next to him.
He's doing something on his phone that I can't see and then he shows me the screen. It's a picture of two children. One is on a little bike, and the other is being held by Madeleine, maybe not even a year yet .
"She had more kids Cam," Colton says quietly. I look at his face to take in his sad expression, but there isn't one. Instead, there's a small smile on his lips. "Him, his name is Parker," he says, pointing to the kid on the bike. "And that little princess is Sarah." Colton's smile grows as he says her name.
"They're beautiful," I smile at the picture, but I can't help but have a million more questions.
"My mom was pregnant of Parker when she left," he explains, reading my mind. "When she found out, she knew there was no way she could carry a child while being abused, so she left. The reason she left me was because she knew Walt wouldn't go looking for her if he still had his son."
My face falls because that reason for leaving your child still isn't good enough for me.
"I know what your thinking Cam, and I thought the same thing, but then she took me to go see them and as soon as I saw Parker, all my anger went away somehow. It was crazy, he came up to me like he's known me forever and asked to play catch and he showed me his room. He was just the coolest. And don't even get me started on Sarah," he pauses and laughs a little. "Even though she's my half sister, she's just, perfect, her smile..."
"Sarah smiles," I laugh.
"Like she doesn't care," he finishes, laughing at our song reference. "My mom wasn't in the best place when she had Parker, but she later met her husband Nick, and they had little Sarah."
"How are they all now?" I ask.
"They're great. They have a nice little house up north with a big back yard for Parker to run around in. I know I should've called while I was gone, but I knew it would just be too confusing to try and explain over the phone, so I just spent time with them for a bit before heading back."
"A bit? You were gone for a week!" I exclaim.
"I know, but Cam, I finally have a family, I have a brother and a sister and... a mom again I guess," he says. I raise my brows in shock to hear him say that. "Yeah, she kind of told me whenever I'm comfortable enough, I could go ahead and move in with them."
I feel my jaw hit the floor as he finishes his sentence. "That's... that's great Colton!"
"Really?" He questions. He looks a little upset by my reaction.
"It's not like I want you to leave, but Colton this is what you wanted right? A family? And now you have one... all the way over there," I say, the last part a little hard to say.
"Yes. But I have you here," he whispers. I lie down next to him and rest my head on his chest again. I leave a small trail of kisses from his chest up to his mouth.
Our kiss is soft and gentle, but then my feelings of missing him this past week start to return. He can sense the kiss heating up and he pulls me on top of him so I'm straddling him.
"What are you going to do?" I breathe between kisses.
"You," he breathes back. I laugh at his response as he kisses my neck because I was referring to his moms offer, but I decide not to make myself clear.
His lips return to mine and I run my fingers through his hair as he runs his hands up my torso, underneath his tshirt. My body is on fire as I begin to rock my hips. Colton lets out a raspy moan and that's enough to drive me insane.
"Did you come prepared Mr. Sommers," I smirk, looking down at him.
"Fuck!" He groans, using one of his hands to rub his face. I laugh and lean over to reach into my nightstand drawer.
"Lucky for you," I smile, waving a little foil packet, "I learned to not make the same mistake twice."
"I love you," he moans as he flips us over so he's on top. His lips meet mine again, but then pull away for the last time. "Are you sure?"
"Yes! I think we both know that it's about time," I laugh, pulling him down to me, wrapping my legs around him.
"You're right," he smirks, before dipping his head down to press his soft lips to mine.
