Clara taps her fingers nervously on the table in the small milkshake shop. Johnny and Clara arrived at the small shop quietly, they sat down in one of the fluffy red booths and looked at the menus, without saying a word. The brunette could feel Johnny's glances that switch between the words on the menu and herself. She herself finds herself looking at the blonde from time to time. The menu lays in front of her, eyes wandering over it.
"Excuse me. Are you ready to order." The silence between the two gets disrupted by one of the waitresses, according to her name sign, Jessie. "One vanilla and a strawberry milkshake, both with extra wipped cream." Johnny tells her, then looks at Clara softly smiling. The girl throws him a surprised look, not sure how he remembers her favourite milkshake.
"You remember." She tells him after Jessie left. Johnny smiles brightly. "Of course I do. How could I forget the time you spilled it over yourself two years ago."
Clara laughs quietly rolling her eyes. "Oh, don't remind me." Johnny and the guy's promised to never talk about this incident ever again after a month full of teasing every time she got close to any milk product at all.
"I thought it was pretty cute, how you went all mad on us, whenever we mentioned it." Laughs Johnny softly. "I liked you back then kind of too, but I thought that it was just a small crush. You know nothing major, and then came Ali and I tried to push all my feelings for you away. I thought that I was in love with Ali, but I never have, and I will never love her." He looks at her softly. "Not as much as you."
Clara looks down at her hands, reminding herself why she was mad at the sweet boy in front of her. "Clara, I am so sorry for what happened. You know how I am. I don't say that he didn't deserve what her got, because he did. He is the one who always comes at us first, at me first. At the beach, the Halloween dance. I am just minding my own business and then he come and purer water over my head. I regret beating him up so badly, but not that I beat him up, my anger just got the best of me, and, he... he just..." Johnny takes a deep breath, stumbling over his own words.
"I am sorry if I hurt you, I never meant to do that. I would never intend doing anything to you that would cause you any pain. And I just can't stand by and see you in pain, even more so if I am the one that caused it." Clara looks into his glossy blue eyes. She closes her eyes, to not break down in the middle of the shop.
"Johnny, I-" Two glasses are set on the table, interuting Clara. Jessie, the waitress smiles down at them. "Thank you." The young woman smiles and leaves them alone. Clara pulls the shake closer to her putting the straw to her lips, taking a sip of the strawberry milkshake. Johnny watches her, smiling softly. Clara looks at him seeing his smile, she can't help but return it. "Thank you."
Johnny smiles brighter at her words. "You deserve it. I just want to get back to what we had, you mean too much to me, I can't loose you."
"Yeah me, too. I just, I was just so angry and disappointed in you. I expected you to be better, than to beat up someone who wouldn't stand a chance." Clara has one of her hands wrapped up around her glass, tabbing it, her eyes focused on the one laying bare on the table. "You and the rest of the boys were just keep hitting him, even though he could barley stand. Bobby was the only one to try to stop it. Mr. Miyagi had to step in and beat your asses just to get you to stop. And I just don't like seeing you beat up people,... or at least beat up people who don't deserve it." Clara laughs quietly at the last part.
She looks at Johnny in front of her seeing his guilt face, she feels immediately bad for saying anything about it. She puts her hand on top of his making him look up from his hands to her. He turns his hand around, not leaving her eyes, so that his hand is holding hers. "I know and I am so incredibly sorry. Is there anything, really anything, to make you forgive me. Please I just, I need you at my side." His voice breaks slightly making Clara's eyes water. She can't stand seeing him like this, he means too much to her for that.
She lifts her hand, that is holding his, to her lips, kissing his. "I don't want to loose you either. We can try to get back to normal if you promise me, that you will apologise to Daniel." Clara could have demanded so much more, but the only thing she wants is to get him back. Daniel has become one of her best friends and she wants both, Johnny and Daniel, to be able to get along.
Johnny looks at her happily. "Yeah, yeah, I can do that, if that means to get you back." He laughs relieved and takes a sip of his milkshake. Clara smiles as well and sets both of their intertwined hands back on the table.
She smiles at the blonde boy dreaminly, not able to believe the anger that he can house. She too takes another sip off her milkshake.
The rest of the day they spend together, talking about their messed up feelings while finishing their milkshakes. Then they drive to Golf n' stuff, to, well, golf and do stuff. All together they have become closer once again, no drama on their mind, just the two of them having fun, trying to forget the ugly incident a few days prior.
