Chapter 2

~time skip to that night~

Daichi and Asahi had built a fire in our site's bonfire pit. Conveniently, the pit already had chairs and benches around it. Suga and Ennoshita had prepared dinner and even had stuff set out for dessert too. So, after dinner we sat around the fire, roasting marshmallows and making smores.

Tsukki and I sat together on one of the two-seater benches. The fire wasn't close enough to our seat for me to sit down and roast our marshmallows so while I was roasting, Tsukki assembled the rest of the smores for us at our seat.

"Here you go!" I said as I pulled the gooey marshmallows out of the fire and brought them to him. He silently slid them off the metal stick and made us two smores, handing me one. 

"Yummy!" I said excitedly as I bit into it. We sat and chatted for a while, Tsukki mostly staying silent as I talked with our teammates.

"Hey, Yamaguchi, are you and Tsukishima dating?" Hinata asked suddenly and I choked on my water. I heard Tsukki choke on his drink too. 

"What- No Hinata, we're not dating!" I said and hoped my blush wasn't too noticeable. "Oh, I thought you were." He said simply and went back to the marshmallow he was roasting.

"Boke, Hinata boke!" Kageyama said and slapped his back. "What!? They act more like a couple than we do!" Hinata said and Kageyama just stared at him. 

At Hinata words Suga whipped his head in their direction violently. "What?!" He asked and Daichi grabbed his hand to make him sit back down because he had started to get up.

"Me and Bakayama are dating." Hinata said casually as he continued to roast his marshmallow. Kageyama was blushing and staring at the ground. "Yeah..." He said and suddenly got the chocolate and gram cracker ready for Hinata's marshmallow like Tsukki had been doing for us. Now everyone's eyes were on the two.

"When did this happen?" Suga asked through clenched teeth, with a forced smile. "Oh, Kageyama asked me out yesterday!" Hinata said happily and smiled brightly at Suga. "Well congratulations sweetheart." Suga said and genuinely smiled at him before glaring at Kageyama.

Everyone said congrats to the couple before we continued chatting and making smores. "I'm going to bed guys, I'm tired." I said after a while. "Okay, good night Yamaguchi!" Suga said before everyone said their good nights. 

"Good night Yams." Tsukki said before I turned to head back to our cabin.

'This was a pretty good day, maybe this trip won't be as bad as I thought it was going to be.' I thought as I laid down after getting ready for bed. I thought about Tsukki's strong arms holding me in the water as I drifted off to sleep with a small smile on my face.

Noya's POV:

It was already 8am and almost everyone was awake. Yamaguchi was the only one still asleep. Me and Tanaka had gotten up earlier than everyone else because we were too excited to sleep, today we were supposed to go out on a boat to go wakesurfing.

"Bro, Yamaguchi needs to get up already! He was the first one to go to bed, how is he still sleeping? I want to go out on the water already!!" Tanaka said. We were sitting on the dock, everyone else was getting showered at the communal bath house. Suddenly I was struck with a brilliant idea.

"Bro, we should prank him to wake him up! We should float his air mattress in the lake!" I said with a devilish grin, looking at him. 

"Bro, you're a genius!" He said and got up. We sprinted over to his and Tsukishima's cabin and slowly opened the door. 

We heard his soft snoring and shared a sly smile as we slowly crept into the room. We grabbed the corners of Yamaguchi's bed and carefully picked it up. He never moved a muscle as we made our way to the lake.

We set it in the water, "Bro lets push it out a bit using the dock." Tanaka whispered to me. I shook my head yes and we pulled the air mattress with Yamaguchi on it along the dock. 

We gently pushed him out when we reached the end of the dock and Yamaguchi was still fast asleep.
