May I have this dance? (Marcy x Reader)

'There is not a chance that I'm letting you chicken out of asking Sasha to dance' I say to her.

'Yeah but-'

'NO BUTS, you and me are both going to this dance and both of us are going to dance with our dates' I declare.

'But Sasha isn't my 'date', we're just going as friends'

'Then dance as friends, it's really quite simple' I conclude.

'Yeah you're right'

'We're here girls' Anne's mum announces.

'Thanks Ms Boonchuy/Thanks Mum' we both say as we exit the car.

We look at each other with a confident nod and walk inside.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V
'I swear it is literally impossible for you to get anywhere on time' Sasha complains as we get out of the car.

'Relax Sash it's only fifteen minutes' I reply.

'Whatever, lets just go find Marcy and Anne' Sasha groans as she pulls me inside.

Sasha and me walk into the gym and see that the dance is well underway with a DJ and everything. We look around until we hear Anne call us over.

'Yo Waybrights, over here' she calls out.

'Why the hell does Anne look so good in a suit' I hear Sasha whispers to herself. I smirk but say nothing.

'You two sure look nice' I say as we approach the two.

'Thanks dude' Anne says with a smile.

'You look amazing too ' Marcy says avoiding eye contact.

'T-thanks Marcy' I stutter, red in the face.

'Well me and Sasha are just gonna go over here, you two do you' Anne rushes as she pulls Sasha along with her.

I here Marcy mumble something under her breath at Anne but I think nothing of it.

'Sooooo...' I start. 'WHY DO I HAVE TO BE SO AWKWARD!' I scream at myself.

'Wanna go raid the snack table?' Marcy suggests.

'Hell yeah, *ahem* I mean, after you milady' I say as I bow and offer her my arm.

'Why thank you' she replies mimicking my posh tone as she takes my arm.

We both start laughing as we walk to the snack table with linked arms.

No one's P.O.V
The night was filled with Marcy, Anne, Sasha and (Y/N) acting like the dumb best friends they all were.

The girls eating more than their fair share of snacks.

Anne and (Y/N) had a competition to see who could drink the most soft drink before feeling sick.

Sasha and Anne had a dance off.

And the four of them doing karaoke.

After hours of shenanigans the music finally slowed down for the partner dances.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V
It's time for the slow dance, grab your date and head to the dance floor or sulk in the corner if you came alone.

The MC announced to the crowd. I start to panic a little bit, this is the moment I've been waiting for. Time to ask Marcy to dance. I take a deep breath and approach her.

'Marcy Wu, may I have this dance?' I say bowing down and offering her my hand like I had done before but this time really meaning it.

'Of course' she replied taking my hand as I walked her to the dance floor. 'You know I can't dance' she mumbles while we stand hand in hand.

'It's fine Mar Mar, just follow my lead ok?'

I held her hand and put the other on her waist, she then put her other hand on my shoulder.

'Ready?' I ask.

'As I'll ever be' she nervously replies.

And with that Marcy and I begin our slow dance.

Sasha's P.O.V
I smile at the sight of Marcy and my sister happily dancing together. I am brought out of my thoughts when I see a very nervous Anne approach me.

'D-Do you wanna dance?' She asks.

'Thought you'd never ask' I reply as we both head out to the dance floor.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V
Marcy and I were the first ones to start dancing and are now the last ones leaving. Sasha went home with Anne and Marcy is going to come home with me. We had lost track of time and were literally kicked out.

'Tonight was surprisingly really fun' Marcy says.

'Why is it surprising?' I ask.

'Well dances, social gatherings aren't really my thing but...' she hugs me 'I guess being with you can make anything fun'

I happily return the hug. 'Being with you sure made this dance worthwhile' I reply. 'Hey Marcy?'

'Yeah?'

'I love you'

She looked a little shocked. It was the first time we'd used the 'L' word, of course I've loved her before saying it but this was the first time actually saying it.

Marcy then smiles and gives me a peck on the lips.

'I love you too (Y/N)'

I smile as we both stand there hugging each other. For once I'm glad that Sasha forced me to leave the house because what a perfect night tonight was.

I don't know if anyone even reads the notes or not but I just wanna say this.

I was thinking about my Amphibia OC and how I do really want to make a seperate book for her. The Marcy oneshots are kind of connected to it with my OC being Sasha's sister. It would eventually be a Marcy x OC book but my OC gets transported to Toad Tower with Sasha so it would be a while before they meet up. I just wanna know if that is something anyone would wanna read or if I should actually do it or not. I would love to hear your thoughts on it. That's all for now cya mates 😁
