"Whattya say, buckaroo" he finished, leaving no room for further doubts that Peter could create.
"Only if this is a one time thing, I can't be skipping school to hang out with you all the time, celebrity or not" Peter inputted by nodding.
Peter wasn't even sure if Tony wanted to hang out with him more. Part of him believed that Tony just wanted to see what Peter could do, and if he wasn't worth his time he'd get thrown out. Not like it's a new occurrence or anything.. either way, he made sure to make it was clear that he did care about his education, as simple as he could make it.
"Alright, I can live with those terms. For now.." Tony agreed, putting his hand on the kid's back to lead him into the school to sigh out.
To say Peter was freaking out.. was a bit of an understatement. Sure, he looked like he was just calming down from the unspoken panic attack he'd just received, but that's the thing about teens nowadays. You can never tell what they're feeling because they get so used to hiding it. Tony remained unaware of the silent, yet nearly fatal heart attack Peter was currently experiencing over his idol. His brain was taking leaps of faith into strange bff fantasies that he knew would never come to pass. That didn't stop him though, because he knew he needed to take the joy while it lasted so fresh.
The pair passed a few shocked faces while being signed out (which surprisingly no one argued against the fact that Tony had practically, and quite literally, succeeded in kidnapping a child from their school with no questions asked) other than that, they ran into no other problems.
It wasn't until they entered Tony's expensive self-driving car that Peter finally grasped his sense of reality back and also had an aunt.
"Mr Stark..? Where are we going?" His quiet voice broke the strange silence.
Tony glanced up from his phone over to the kid, pausing the long text he was about to send to his husband explaining that he was going to take a possible client to lunch for an interview.
"What was that kiddo?" Tony chirped, only remembering a muffled voice from seconds ago.
"My.. uh.. my Aunt might freak out if she doesn't know where I am.. I just wanted to know what to tell her" he clarified, being sure he didn't sound as paranoid as to where they were headed.
"Oh, right. I was just thinking we could head down to my basement lab and order something, unless you have any recommendations?" It clicked that Tony just picked up a teen from school without telling him anything.
If Tony wasn't Tony, that'd be really suspicious..
The kid shook his head before rephrasing the question a bit, "so what am I supposed to tell her? The great Tony Stark came by my school and took me over to his place to mess with robots' or something?"
Tony just shrugged "if you want to, I don't really care. Hell, you can send her some photos. I'd be proud to take some selfies with Spider-Man"
Peter snorted.
"What?" Tony questioned jokingly, nudging the teen "its not everyday I get to meet someone as cool as you"
"It's not that" Peter chuckled nervously, flattered, yet giving a pause while he calmed down "My aunt doesn't know I'm Spider-Man, it'd freak her out"
Tony slightly picked up on the stress leaking from Peter's words. He sounded almost.. afraid to tell her. Tony wished he could understand that situation, but his parents didn't live long enough for him to reveal he was a hero, nor would they care much. Tony didn't have enough information on Peter's home life to tell what kind of stress it was either, so he decided to set it aside for the time being.
