"Jesus Christ, Phil! You didn't have to say that," I said angrily.

"I'm sorry! I thought she knew I was joking!" he replied defensively. I let out a frustrated sigh.

"Well, obviously, she didn't." I took a few deep breaths to calm down. "I'm doing the show, and then I'm going to check on Gwen." I guess Phil could tell how bad it was from my tone, because he got this really hurt look on his face. By that point, it was already time to start. We tried to pretend like nothing was wrong, but I'm not entirely sure if it worked or not. Either way, I was out of the door not five seconds before we were off the air.

When I got to her house, I knocked hesitantly on the door. There was no answer, so I tried the doorknob. To my suprise, it swung open, and I could feel myself pale. I walked into the flat and looked around cautiously.

"Gwen?" I called wearily as I climbed up her stairs toward her bedroom. "Gwen, are you here?" Her bedroom door was shut and I could hear sniffling on the other side. I rapped lightly on her door. "Gwen, it's Dan. Open up." The sniffling stopped abruptly, but there was no sound of her moving towards the door. I tried the door handle and was a little less surprised to find it unlocked.

I pushed open the door and walked in, my eyes searching until I found her curled up on her bed. She sat up in suprise when she heard me cross the floor and sit down on the bed next to her. "Go away," she mumbled grumpily. When I didn't make any move to leave, she groaned.

"Phil didn't mean all of that. He was just joking around, although I do admit it was a bit extensive." She raised her eyebrows at me.

"A bit? Dan that was a video that I had never ever planned on you two seeing!" she protested.

"You would rather have thousands of people see it over two specific people?" I asked. She opened her mouth to answer, then shut it again. When she opened her mouth again, she started to ramble.

"I never thought you would actually see the video. I was just answering my fans as honestly I could, and besides, it was a while ago. I almost completely forgot about the video and I really don't want that to affect our friendship. I don't want you to think that's the only reason why we became frien-" she rushed out, but I cut her off by leaning forward and pressing my lips against hers.

My heart pounded against my chest as I let what was happening. Me, the most awkward human being on the planet, was kissing my best friend/intern/secret crush. Not only that, but I had kissed her. And I was still kissing her. I definitely wasn't expecting this when I woke up this morning.
