Chapter Four
Lucy's POV
Exiting the school, I made my way down the sidewalk and started walking the direction of my house. Looking up at the grey clouds above me, I hoped it didn't down pour on me any minute. That would not be good.
My house was only one more mile away, and I just hoped I would get there before the storm. Adjusting the strap of my backpack, my mind wandered back to the adventures I endured today. From having Tom Parker talk to me, than having to be partners with Nathan Sykes in a project. This day has just become more adventurish by the minute.
Stopping at the stop sign, I waited for the passing cars to pass by. Looking around, I noticed that I was crossing in the rich part of town. All of the fancy houses lined with fancy shutters, and bright cared for green grass.
I wished I had this. Lots of the time, I wondered what it would be like, if I grew up in a rich family with all of the riches. Maybe my life would of been different.
As I was about to cross the street, I felt something wet drop onto my head. Looking up I saw more and more raindrops starting to fall out of the grey clouds above me.
Quickly running across the street, I started to jog my way home. More and more raindrops were falling, by the time I made it to another stop sign.
The sound of screeching tires, were suddenly made behind me. Turning around I saw a black Lamborghini speeding towards me. Turning back around, I started speed walking. Trying to get away from the car.
I didn't want it to be like those movies were the innocent girl is walking and the crazy psycho person comes out of no where and kills her.
I would definitely not like that. I had to much to live for. I had to get an a on this project, graduate, get into a great college, and most importantly find that right guy and get married. I had all of this ahead of me, I couldn't get killed so quickly.
The sound of the rubber rubbing off was increasing as I now started jogging. The rain starting to come down in a down pour now. Passing by me, and parking itself in front of me, the black car came to a halt.
This was it. I thought.
This was the time where my live ended. I wasn't prepared for this day. I still hasn't even written my will yet.
The slamming of the car door was visible from my spot on the sidewalk, frozen, stuck in place. What shocked me to all points was who I saw step out of the car. It was the one and only, Nathan Sykes.
What on earth was he doing here? Shouldn't he be home, doing whatever it was rich people do?
I knew other people said he lived in an orphanage but I figured that since I didn't know him personally I shouldn't judge him by what people say.
"Come on, get in the car" Nathan said, walking up to the me and grabbing my arm, pulling me up to the car.
Trying to get out of his grip, I tried to stop him from touching me. I hated it when people touched me.
Letting go of me, Nathan looked at me, his spiked up hair now falling in front of his face.
"What's wrong? This is the only time I'm going to be doing something nice to you, so you better embrace it. Now get in the car" He ordered.
Taking a deep breath, I tried to calm my nerves down. I was already hyped up when he touched me. Not only did I not like being touched, but when his hand made contact with my skin, electrical signals ran up and down my arms.
