The Bad Boy Stole My Diary
A Raura Fanfiction
Chapter Two: Charming Blondes & Protective Brothers.
~Right Where We Left Off~
"H-Hi..." Vanessa said, her eyes meeting with the older looking blonde once again. He smiled at her once again, hoping she wouldn't turn away like the last time. But this time, she smiled back. And she didn't stop. I nudged her lightly and giggled, she blushed in return.
The younger blonde smirked at me, eyeing me. And I hate to admit it, but I actually blushed. (I'm not extremely sure on wether or not I blushed a lot or just a little. Hard to tell, so don't ask.) I mean, I looked like utter crap. My hair was a greasy, knotted mess. My pajamas were wrinkled and stained. And I had absolutely no makeup on. But even though I couldn't have looked worse, he still looked at me and thought I was attractive.
But, of course, I recognized his smirk. Nessa and I have a code word for it; eggplant. (Some kind of vegetable, I guess.) Anyway, 'eggplant' is code word for 'bad boy' or 'player.' But obviously, I can't work 'eggplant' into a conversation right now. So I'll just have to explain it to her later.
The older looking blonde, known as Riker, introduced himself and his siblings. The girl was Rydel, the guy with the long brown hair was Rocky, the younger looking blonde was Ross, and the guy with short brown hair was Ryland. Vanessa introduced herself, and Sean and me.
Sean glared at Riker and Ross because each of them were looking at Vanessa and I. Sean might only be thirteen, but he's still taken the overprotective brother role. (Parker had that role as well, but he was too oblivious to realize when boys were looking at us. Plus, he was in the kitchen with our parents and Hanna at the moment.)
"Who's here?" Mom asked from the kitchen. "The new neighbors." Sean replied. Mom and Dad rushed into the room to meet them.
After about ten minutes of talking with the new neighbors, my parents invited them and their parents over for dinner. Riker and Ross were getting along well with my parents. And Riker and Vanessa were getting along nicely too. Giggling and chatting, laughing and hair twirling, all of Vanessa's flirting moves. They were cute together, I could picture it.
I think it'll be nice to meet the Lynches this evening. There's one thing I'm not excited about though: Seeing eggplant (Ross.)
~That Evening~
The Lynches were going to be over in a few minutes, so I rushed to get ready. I was going to be wearing a pink tee shirt with lace on, a pink and blue floral skirt, and pink converse. I curled pieces of my hair so they were wavy, but tight. I took one strand of my hair and pinned it back with a bow. My makeup was natural, but still pretty. To finish off my outfit, I put on a white infinity scarf with my charm bracelet.
"Are you ready, sis?" Vanessa asked, coming into my room.
She was wearing a light blue dress that was flowy and went to her knees. It had lace straps with a lace belt, (and she looked a little overdressed for the occasion, I must say.)
"Yeah, are they here?" I asked her and made sure I looked okay. "They're at the door." She said, rushing me out the door. My sister and I walked downstairs, seeing Sean and Meg on the couch.
Meg is Sean's best friend. She's thirteen as well, and it's obvious they both really like each other. They're always giggling, smiling, and acting like a couple. It's cute honestly, except it does bring out my protective older sister side. (Not really sure if that's a thing, but whatever.)
Meg has dark brown hair, making her opposite of Sean. She has brown eyes, like mine and Vanessa's, and she's a couple inches shorter than him. He's blonde, she's brunette. He's tall, she's short(er than him.) They're total opposites. And it's pretty adorable.
"Hey, guys." Vanessa smiled at them. They ignored us and continued play fighting. Vanessa rolled her eyes and the door rang. She ran quickly to answer it. And that right there, ladies and gentlemen, was the moment my family shared an evening with the Lynches.
~Later That Evening~
The evening was going well, everyone was getting along. Sean and Meg were quietly flirting and giggling, Riker and Vanessa were becoming pretty good friends, and our parents were getting along like long lost best friends.
But, of course, there was Ross. Ross talked to my parents a couple times, but he mostly just stood there and stared at me. I was blushing hard, I was flattered, honestly. But again, I wasn't interested in him. And I never would be. Although the thought of being with a bad boy made me giggle. I'd be popular. I could actually mean something in the school. But the thought of my heart breaking into billions of pieces makes me shiver.
"Hey." I heard someone whisper in my ear. I turned around quick and saw Ross. "O-Oh, hi..." I mumbled back. He smiled. (I wasn't sure if it was genuine, or like a smirk.) "You look really nice tonight." He said to me. "Thanks. You do too, but I'm not here to flirt." I replied, crossing my arms. "Ooh, someone's feisty." He smirked, crossing his arms as well. "Look, just leave me alone. I don't like players." I rolled my eyes. He placed a hand on his heart, pretending to be hurt.
"Whatever. So, what's the deal with those two?" He asked, pointing at Sean and Meg. "Oh, well, they're best friends. I know they like each other though. You can see it." I said, looking at them. "They're cute together." He said, smiling a little. I just looked down.
~More Later That Evening~
After my confusing run in with Ross, I went back to reality and tried to ignore him. It wasn't working though, he kept staring at me. But I guess I was gonna have to deal with him at some point.
As the Lynches started leaving, I went upstairs to my room and shut the door behind me. But as I turned around, I saw Ross sitting on my bed. I jumped and nearly had a heart attack. "What are you doing in here?!" I screamed, running my hands through my hair in frustration. He chuckled, obviously amused with my condition. "You're so jumpy." He teased, smiling like a fool. "What do you want?" I sighed, sitting at my desk and looking at my tired self in the mirror.
I looked like a wreck. My makeup was smeared, my hair was frizz. I looked back. (Or, it might just be my imagination. I've learned over the years that girls imagine themselves looking worse than they actually do. Ugh, let me dream.)
"I came to talk to you." He said, smiling innocently. I rolled my eyes. "I don't like you. Just please, get out." I mumbled, almost at a begging point. "Why don't you find me attractive?" He asked, out of the blue. "Well, gee, I don't know." I said sarcastically. "Really, why don't you find me attractive?" He asked again. "I don't know. I just don't like players." I replied, trying to fix my hair at least a little. "I'm a 'player'?" He asked, putting air quotes around 'player.' "Yes you are, and I don't wanna get my heart broke." I sighed. "Fine. Kick me out." He crossed his arms, pouting like a little kid. "Awesome!" I giggled, pushing him out of the room.
Later that night, I was tucking myself into bed. I was so excited just to relax, dream. Every night, I had this thing where I'd just write in my diary. It was a tradition. So, I naturally went to grab it off my nightstand.
What I was really shocked about was that my diary was no longer there.
Author's Notes: So this chapter totally sucked 😂😔 The next chapter will start the drama so I'm hoping it'll be better. And who else thinks Sean and Meg are gonna be adorable? 💕 Anyways, sorry this sucked! It was a filler chapter 😂 a Comment for more?
QUESTION TIME: Yay or nay to Rinessa? Do you think Ross is a player in this story? Do you think Sean and Meg are cute? Will Raura happen? Where's Laura's diary?
