In the literal state of mind, I mind as well be dead.
In the literal state of being, I drown in your words.
In the literal state of loving, you're the one I want the most.
In the literal state of the past,
I should be dead,
Should've drown,
Never had a thing to live for.
There was always a new low to stoop down to,
Another floor that follows.
My wrists have cried tears of red,
They never seem to stop.
There has never been a reason to push forward and grasp the following breath,
It's just another chore waiting to be cut short.
But in the literal state of now;
I want to live,
Drowning in anything besides your eyes sounds displeasing and beyond absurd,
And I still want you around.
I just figured that in the literal state of my mind,
You've changed me for the better and I just like the now of being with you.
