A Facade

A facade I wear wherever I dwell,
And greets and wishes are all I get.
With a smile carved on the flesh, I make no sound;
In their eyes, I see a corpse in crown,
Staring at me only to see its reflection.

A facade I wear whichever lane the mind lands,
The calls inside echoes through every inch;
With every breath longing for eternal sleep,
A time to be slave of the trap no more; An abiding slumber, no woes, no weal.

A facade I wear whatever scenes I seek.
I proffer my heart through the window,
Filling the void with gush of zephyr, Feeding the mess with tranquil vista,
And yet the soul yearns for a gold no more.

A facade I wear howsoever the body bleeds,
The puny hands I enlisted to the crowd,
Swayed by the tides of dust into the dimness;
The tawny feet I hoped to trudged with,
Torn down by the grasps of the vile hollow.

A facade I wear whenever the fatigue stings;
Vale of tears dried up at the woke of dawn;
All the terrors and mirrors renewed to view;
Grimly stitching up the mouldy wounds ;
I gather the yowls, ready for the flattering sun.

A facade I wear whithersoever I pursue,
With the shadow leering at me;
To see myself for the one that I am,
Oh! What a gift it would be;
The thought of which ignites the heart’s sobs

A facade I wear whoever I am !!
Leaves do teach me of the greens and streams;
At once the body kindled at its own delight;
Dreaming of wings across the purple sky,
Inhaled the soul and the wits, what more can I ask for ?
