It will be ok

Eli POV

When I got home, Carl introduced himself to nick while I was off in the kitchen. It shouldn't be possible but it happened. I guess that's on me for not using a condom for the amount of times I take nick a day. Especially after the wedding when I barely let nick leave the room.

But how? Would the kid be human like nick or would it be a demon like me? I'm so confused, it shouldn't have happened. Even before lucifer took nicks memories we were at it like rabbits, so what changed now? This is just a lot to process.

"Alright mate?" Darren walked into the kitchen.

I shook my head with a sigh. Out of no where, lucifer and a few other demons appeared as well.

"Eli." Lucifer gave me a curt nod in which I returned. "It has come to my attention that you got a human pregnant, a boy at that." He growled.

"It was an accident." I mumbled. "I didn't realise it was possible."

"Being on earth gave you the ability to get off. It may not seem a lot so to any mortal it would go down as a low sperm count. To you it may seem impossible but not to humans. To think that I gave nick back his memories you'd use the time with him wisely. Not get married and burden him with great pain."

"What's that supposed to mean." I growled.

"It means that thing will kill nick from the inside out. Even with Carl, nick or both of them will die. You should have left it alone and followed the rules."

My heart sank and tears formed in my eyes. "You bullshit way to much."

"He's not, Eli." One of the demons sighed. "That's what happened to Mary-Ann because he made new memories with her. She fell pregnant and he lost both Mary and the baby."

Tears streamed down my cheeks. Anger coursed through me so I did what I did. I stormed into the living room.

"Get rid of it. And do it now. I don't care, you get rid of that thing." I yelled.

"What are you talking about?" Nick looked at me. Fear and hurt in his eyes.

"Get rid of it. That... thing will kill you from the inside out and I will not sit back and watch it happen. You kill it before it can kill you." I snapped and walked away.

Nick POV

One after the other, tears fell down my cheeks as Eli walked away from me. Lexi and Hannah immediately pulled me into their embrace as I cried on their shoulders.

"What did you tell him?" Carl growled when Darren, lucifer and a few others walked in.

"The truth. And if any of you have any brain cells left, then you'd agree to get rid of that thing growing inside you." Lucifer stated.

"You scare mere children, lucifer." Carl spat out. "Nothing will happen to nick or the baby. Admit it, it's a baby. An innocent yet you have it's father telling the other to abort it. That's not happening, before you strolled in everything was fine. It always is until you come along and put shit in people's heads. Leave lucifer, this has nothing to do with you."

"Fine. Don't come to me when both of them die because of Eli." He turned to me. "You're husband is killing you."

With that, lucifer and the others he was with disappeared. I broke down even more now knowing Eli hates me. I don't care if the baby kills me, I won't abort it either. If Eli doesn't take care of it then I know Lexi and the others will.

I pulled away from the girls and sat down. They all stood around me as I cried into my hands.

"Nick it's completely up to you what you do. But I can assure you that both you and that baby will be fine and healthy. I promise." Carl told me.

"How will it come out? Like will it be like me or Eli?" I asked.

"This has never happened before so I don't know. But I've done a lot of labours back in the day and many women survived when it was practically rare for them to. Trust me, by the end of this pregnancy you and the baby will be ok." He replied.

"Can you all promise me something?" I looked at all of them.

"Anything." They nodded.

"If anything does happen to me, can you please look after both Eli and the baby?"

"Nick we can't promise that because like Carl said, you'll be ok. We need to think positively not negatively. Everything will be alright." Hannah smiled softly at me.

I nodded yet carried on crying silently. I couldn't help but to think about the worst case scenarios and the good.

After a while of sitting with the others, I chose to go up to bed. When I opened the door Eli stood by the window looking out at the sky.
