You plop down onto couch, sinking in to the cushion. You and Santa had been planning a movie night for a bit now. It wasn't that the two of you didn't have time. Actually, to be truthful.. You weren't really sure what has kept it from happening.

But now that the night was here, you were damn excited. All night you and Aoi would be watching movies until you pass out. It's nothing expensive, nothing super luxurious, but it's such a fun date idea.

You hollered over your shoulder in hopes a certain dork would hear you. What was taking him so long? "Hey, Aoi, you good?"

"Yeah, just a second!" his voice answered back, and you heard him swear quietly to himself after the sound of something spilling. Sighing, you got up. Sounds like he needs a bit of assistance. Chuckling quietly to yourself, you walked into the kitchen.

As he heard your foot steps, a panic rose up in him. "Hey hey hey hey, no I got it-! Stay out!" he kinda yelled. Damn, you only wanted to help. Still, you entered. You could put up with his attitude.

As soon as you were in the doorway of the kitchen, you stopped dead in your foot steps. Your eyes locked onto something shiny, something small. It had fallen out of a tiny box, which he had in his hands.

Around the trinket was a puddle of spilled soda. "Is that-" your face began to heat up quickly. Naturally, a hand clasped at your mouth. "...Yeah," he responded after a small, 3 second delay.

What was this mysterious object? It was a ring. An engagement ring. "Shit, I just wanted it to be a surprise.." he sounded dissapointed. Shaking your head, you hastily pulled whatever stuff was in his hands away to softly yet kiss him.

You were beaming, like a sun. He loved it, his heart skipping a beat as you cupped his cheeks. "It IS a surprise!" exclaiming, he leaned down and picked up the drenched piece of jewelry and handed it to him.

His positive expression faltered for a split second until you said that one word. "Yes!"

I mean, how could you say no? You loved him more than anything. He was the light of your life, the man that cheered you up even out of your darkest moods. You brought your wrist up, which he softly held with one hand. The other, sliding on the trinket on your left ring finger.

This time, he initiated a kiss, pulling you in and snaking his arms around your waist. Both of your eyes shut, lips moving together deeply and so lovingly for what seemed like forever.

After a bit, he drew his face away and smugly smirked at you. "Now how about those movies, yeah?"
