I whistled happily to myself as my plan went into motion, heading back to my car while swinging me keys around my finger. From today, Aubrey and Elias's relationship would hopefully flourish, while I can enjoy having lunch with them as their friend and beloved third-wheel. To be honest, I was also happy to be able to just spend time with the both of them - with my friends. I... didn't have many of those, if any, back in my original world. It was always just me and Amber - just the two of us, against the world.

God, I miss my sister.

But... at least I have Aubrey and Elias.

As I neared my car, I saw a figure sitting on the bonnet, and stopped dead in my tracks because dear Father in Heaven, this could only be one character and one character only, even if her characterisation was a copy-and-paste conglomeration of every bitch ever written.

Long honey blonde hair in bombshell waves, sultry blue eyes, lean figure with curves in all of the desired places, naturally golden skin encased shown off in a strapless white top and a short denim skirt, and wearing a smile that made her look like a beautiful snake about to eat someone.

Or, namely, eat someone's dick because apparently she was very good at that, being characterised as nothing more than a five-star dick vacuum.

She was the character that shared a name with my sister. She was Amber Cross, i.e. Xander's ex-girlfriend that he never quite got over until he met Aubrey, i.e. a major raging bitch with spicy down-town beef lips that were supposedly almost as magical as Xander's love missile in his pants, i.e. the antagonist.

The girl - woman, demon-with-boobies, whatever - was picking at her perfectly manicured nails and scanning the crowd, obviously looking for me considering she was using my car as a recliner. A few guys from my school ogled at her as they passed, and she basked in their attention, shifting her body this way and that to show off her best angles. Admittedly, she was truly a master of her craft and was, frustratingly, very pretty.

But, I remembered how this all went down in 'Say No to Bad Boys', and that was not pretty in the slightest.

"Xander, baby, I've missed you, where've you been?" a sing-song, high-pitched voice called out, and suddenly all Aubrey could see were voluptuous curves covered by nothing more than a few strips of stretchy fabric. Aubrey felt bile rising in her throat as she watched Xander's eyes widen briefly in unfamiliar wonder and surprise, before his lips curved up into a smile he seldom wore, large hands planting themselves on that curvaceous back side.

"Mhmm, Amber, it's been ages," Xander purred, the blonde girl giggling in response as she threaded her fingers in Xander's messy hair.

Amber - Aubrey had heard that name before. Her friend had told her that Xander has had many ex-girlfriends, and even more ex-flings, but no one quite like Amber. She had been his first, apparently, and someone he never quite got over. It was an unspoken rumour that the reason Xander goes through so many girls is because he's trying to find someone he loves as much, if not more, than Amber, but no one has been able to satisfy him yet.

And Aubrey shouldn't care, not now, not when she already ended things with Xander. Aubrey shouldn't have feelings for him. Aubrey told herself that she didn't care, that she didn't want him, that she didn't love him.

But when she saw Xander like that, touching another girl the way Aubrey yearned to be touched, she couldn't help but feel miserable.

Aubrey looked away with gritted teeth when Xander laughed and pulled Amber closer, sealing his lips over hers when he should have been kissing Aubrey's instead.
